A writing instrument includes: a replacement ink cartridge including a bottomed cylindrical container that has an opened front end and a closed rear end and a plug fitted into an inner circumferential surface of an opening of the container; and a projection inserted into the opening of the container to press the plug rearward, thereby opening the plug of the ink cartridge, wherein the projection and the plug are fitted when the plug is press opened, and when the cartridge is replaced, the fitting between the projection and the plug is released and the plug is locked again in the opening of the container.

According to the invention, provision is made for the conveying device (3) to comprise a cylinder (10), a piston (30) arranged such as to be axially displaceable in the cylinder, a pump plunger (20) for the axial displacement of the piston (30) and having a plunger hole (26), a first connection channel (41) between the cylinder (10) pump cage (42) and the tank (40), and a second connection channel (21) between the cylinder (10) pump cage (42) and the application apparatus (2), plunger hole (26) the piston (30) to be adjustable in relation to the pump plunger (20), for the piston (30) to open or close the first connection channel (41) depending on the setting in relation to the cylinder (10), and for the piston (30), depending on the position in relation to the pump plunger (20), to open or close the second connection channel (21).

The invention relates to a device for applying a viscous substance, in particular for the purposes of cosmetics, writing, painting, drawing, and/or marking, with a tank (40) for storing a liquid substance, a pump cage (42) arranged within the tank (40), an application apparatus (2), and a conveying device (3), which is configured such as to convey the substance out of the tank (40) to the application device. An attachment structure in a writing instrument, includes: a first component; and a second component configured to be fitted into a fitting hole provided at an end of the first component, the second component including: a small-diameter portion; and a large-diameter portion disposed in front of the small-diameter portion; and a first outer step portion disposed between the small-diameter portion and the large-diameter portion, the fitting hole including: a small-diameter hole portion; and an inner step portion disposed in front of the small-diameter hole portion, the small-diameter portion being fitted into or loosely fitted into the small-diameter hole portion, the first outer step portion coming into contact with the inner step portion, the small-diameter hole portion includes a barb portion protruding from the inner face of the small-diameter hole portion, the barb portion being deformable by contact with the small-diameter portion when the second component is fitted.
