A seedling-cutting apparatus includes a pair of arms that is to nip a portion of a stem of a seedling for grafting and that can be opened and closed and a blade that is provided so as to be capable of reciprocating relative to the portion of the stem. At least one of the pair of arms includes a through hole or a cutout that penetrates a portion of the arms along a direction in which the blade reciprocates. At least a portion of the through hole or the cutout faces the portion of the stem and at least a portion of the blade moves through the through hole or the cutout.

The grafting apparatus includes a cutter and a joiner. The cutter is configured to cut a stem of the plant for grafting that is held by the at least one plant holder of each of the grafting members. The joiner is configured to mutually join at least parts of the grafting members, while the at least one plant holder holds a part of the plant for grafting that has been cut by the cutter, to thereby mutually join parts of the plants for grafting.

The grafting apparatus includes a cutter and a joiner. The cutter is configured to cut a stem of the plant for grafting that is held by the at least one plant holder of each of the grafting members. The joiner is configured to mutually join at least parts of the grafting members, while the at least one plant holder holds a part of the plant for grafting that has been cut by the cutter, to thereby mutually join parts of the plants for grafting.

GRAFTING DEVICE

A grafting device includes: a transfer unit configured to transfer, in a predetermined direction, a grafted seedling that is in a state where a cut surface of a graft and a cut surface of a rootstock are closely attached to each other; a tape supply unit configured to arrange a tape on a transfer path of the grafted seedling in such a manner that the tape is allowed to be pulled out; a pull-out member configured to transfer through the transfer path in advance of the grafted seedling to pull out the tape from the tape supply unit, and sandwich a closely attached part of the grafted seedling between a first part of the tape and a second part facing the first part; and a welding unit configured to cover a periphery of the closely attached part of the grafted seedling with the tape and weld the tape.

Upon selection of at least one option by the person, the plant or the component of the plant is autonomously or automatically processed by a processing means.

A seedling nursery member for grafting according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes at least one seedling nursery unit. At least one seedling nursery unit includes a stem storage section configured to store a stem of a plant and a stem holder configured to hold the stem of the plant. At least a portion of the stem storage section of the at least one seedling nursery unit is configured to be openable so as to allow communication between an inside of the stem storage section and an outside of the at least one seedling nursery unit in a direction different from a growth direction of the plant.

A seedling nursery member for grafting according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes at least one seedling nursery unit. At least one seedling nursery unit includes a seed storage section configured to store a seed of a plant and have a space for the plant to germinate, a stem storage section configured to store a stem of the plant that has germinated and elongated, and a stem holder configured to hold the elongated stem of the plant. At least a portion of the seed storage section of at least one seedling nursery unit is configured to be openable to the outside of at least one seedling nursery unit. At least a portion of the stem storage section of at least one seedling nursery unit is configured to be openable to the outside of at least one seedling nursery unit.

A grafted seedling producing apparatus 1 includes a seeding apparatus 2, a seedling raising apparatus 3 having a carriage 6 and a chamber 7, a grafting apparatus 4, and a plurality of nursery apparatuses 5. The seeding apparatus 2 creates seed-containing cultivation mediums each made up of a cultivated plant seed and a soil contained in a pot, arranges the mediums on a tray, and loads the tray into the carriage 6. The carriage 6 is housed in the chamber 7. The seedling raising apparatus 3 germinates the seeds and grows seedlings generated by the germination while applying light from LEDs. Since a worker does not have to enter the chamber 7, the seedling raising apparatus 3 becomes compact. The grafting apparatus 4 grafts a stock and a scion created by the seedling raising apparatus 3 to form a grafted seedling. The nursery apparatus 5 nurses the grafted seedling.
