Cutting tool employing a rotatable circular disc, with a sharp beveled edge, that engages with an opposing jaw for the purpose of cutting; and an optional self-sharpening mechanism.
A cutting tool such as garden shears, secateurs, toppers, scissors, tin snips, cutting pliers, and the like that employs a circular disc with a sharp, beveled edge. During the cutting process, the disc engages with an opposing jaw. Furthermore, in the cutting process, the disc is forced to rotate by a ratchet mechanism or other means. The circular disc can be easily sharpened by mounting it on a rotatable shaft. The beveled edge is then engaged with a sharpening stone or file as the disc rotates. Optionally, the tool can include a built-in, self-sharpening mechanism. Here, an abrasive sharpening element is constantly engaged with the beveled edge of the disc. Thus the disc is continually sharpened as the tool is used, and never needs to be sharpened manually.

Stalk cutter device and method of use
The stalk cutter device and method of use thereof obtains a desired length of plant stalk, particularly a cornstalk, from a desired distance from the ground. The stalk cutter device includes a pair of handles pivotally connected to a pair of pruning type of cutters. A support rod is mounted through the pivot connections of the cutters and extends laterally a desired distance from the lower cutter to support the device at the desired height to cut the desired portion of the stalk.
Telescoping Branch Trimmer
A telescoping branch trimmer includes a telescoping pole. The telescoping pole has a telescoping lock for locking the length of the telescoping pole. A cutter head is mounted at one end of the telescoping pole and an actuation cord is interfaced to an actuator of the cutter head such that a pulling force applied to the actuation cord closes a cutting mechanism of the cutter head. An enclosure has a spring-loaded spool, a leader passing through the enclosure is interfaced to the spring-loaded spool for taking in the leader by spring force. The end of the leader that is distal from the enclosure is removably attached to the actuation cord (e.g., by a clip) to facilitate storage and replacement of the leader and enclosure. The leader is locked from entering/exiting the enclosure until an unlock button is pressed.
Tree shear capable of reducing opening degree of handles thereof
A tree shear capable of reducing an opening degree of handles thereof, includes a shearing part, a first handle and a second handle. The shearing part includes a first blade and a second blade pivoted with each other. The first handle is connected with a first blade, the second handle has a front section and a rear section sleeved with each other, and the front section is connected with the second blade. A link rod has an end pivoted with the first handle and other end pivoted with the rear section of the second handle. While the two handles are opened, the link rod affects the front section of the second handle to move relative to the rear section of the second handle, so as to adjust a length of the second handle to reduce the opening degree of the two handles.

Selectively bendable remote gripping tool
A hand-held gripping device that allows one of a surgeon, a dentist, and an orthodontist to reach interior portions of a person's anatomy, includes a gripping portion having a pair of jaws or nets movable relative to each other between fully clamped and fully opened positions thereof, a handle portion spaced apart from the jaw portion by a bendable central portion that has a hollow, bendable corrugated member with at least one cord extending therethrough. The retrieval of a thrombus to promptly address ischemic issues is made possible due to the flexible corrugated member being able to access small vessels in a patient's brain, as well as magnetic properties of the thrombus and/or jaws, nets, bags, or flexible fingers, of the grasping end, thus facilitating removal of the thrombus.
CLAMPING MECHANISM FOR AN ADJUSTABLE LENGTH TOOL
A clamping mechanism for an adjustable length tool is provided herein. The clamping mechanism includes a body having a top end, a bottom end opposite the top end, and a top portion proximate the top end; and, a lever rotatably coupled to the body between an unlocked position and a locked position, wherein the lever engages with the body during a movement of the lever to the locked position to cause a deformation of the top portion of the body. According to one embodiment, deformation of the top portion of the body is structured to prevent relative movement between an inner pole of the adjustable length tool and the top portion of the body.
CUTTING TOOL WITH A VARIABLE PIVOT SYSTEM
A hand operated cutting tool includes a first handle coupled to a first cutting member, the first handle having a first set of projections; and, a second handle coupled to a second cutting member and movably coupled to the first handle, the second handle having a second set of projections. The handles are movable between a full open position and a full closed position, wherein a first region of movement is defined by the first and second sets of projections being at least partly engaged, and wherein a second region of movement is defined by the first and second sets of projections being disengaged.
