Vehicle wheels
An insert for a vehicle wheel having a plurality of spokes which define, in part, an outwardly-facing wheel surface, and further define between adjacent ones of the spokes, a cavity for receiving the insert, in use, the insert comprising: an outer profile of complementary shape to the cavity and arranged to fit securely within the cavity, in use; and a flow redirecting surface which is aerodynamically shaped so as to reduce drag on an adjacent spoke of the wheel, in use.
Partial wheel cladding
A wheel assembly including a cover portion permanently attached to a wheel. The wheel includes a wheel central hub portion, a wheel outer peripheral rim portion, a plurality of wheel spoke portions extending between the wheel central hub portion and the wheel outer peripheral rim portion, and a plurality of wheel turbine openings disposed between adjacent ones of the plurality of wheel spoke portions. A cover portion is configured to overlie a portion of the wheel portion. The cover portion is configured to overlie one or more of the wheel central hub portion; the plurality of wheel spoke portions, and the plurality of turbine openings or the wheel outer periphery. An adhesive is disposed between an outboard surface of the wheel and the inboard surface of the cover portion to permanently secure the cover portion to the wheel portion. When the cover portion is secured to the wheel, substantial portions of the plurality of wheel spokes, the wheel central hub, or wheel outer periphery remain exposed.
ELASTOMERIC FASTENER SYSTEM FOR WHEEL DEVICES
A system. The system includes a wheel, a tire mounted on the wheel, a tire shield, elastomeric members and an extension limiting member. The elastomeric members are coupled to the wheel and the tire shield. The an extension limiting member is coupled to the wheel and the tire shield. The elastomeric members are configured to allow for controlled radial and rotational displacement of the tire shield relative to the wheel in x and y directions while the wheel is rotating during a collision event involving the tire shield.
Wheel for lawn mower robot and lawn mower robot including the same
A wheel for a lawn mower robot includes a structure in which grass seeds can be discharged during a rotation of the wheel. Accordingly, grass seeds are shown as the lawn mower robot travels while performing a lawn mowing task. Therefore, a task of mowing the lawn and a task of sowing seeds can be performed in a unified manner. Thus, the lawn can be managed more efficiently.
Method for color register spraying of hub
The present invention provides a method for color register spraying of a hub, which includes machining and turning for glossy finish after spraying a black paint on the surface of a hub, and then spraying a color transparent paint onto the hub. The method provided by the invention achieves a spraying-based color register effect through spraying of the color transparent paint, which greatly improves the production efficiency and is available for batch production.
Wheel disk structure
A wheel disk structure includes a wheel cover and a fastening unit. The wheel cover has a side provided with a plurality of projecting members each having a periphery provided with at least two connecting seats. The fastening unit includes a plurality of locking members detachably mounted on the connecting seats of the projecting members, and a plurality of elastic members mounted between the projecting members and the locking members. Each of the locking members has a first side provided with a locking recess corresponding to each of the projecting members and mounted on each of the elastic members. Each of the locking members has a second side provided with a protrusion. Thus, the fastening unit is detachable and can be removed and replaced when being worn out, so that the wheel cover can be reused.
Two-part wheel spider with profile spokes
A wheel includes a rim having a rim base and a two-part wheel spider. The wheel spider includes two molded parts. The first molded part forms the spokes having an open cross-section and is joined to the second molded part. The spokes of the first molded part are completely or partially closed along the profile length by the second molded part. The wheel spider is preferably integrated in the rim in an interlocking manner. The rim and the two-part wheel spider can consist of metal, but in particular preferably of composite fiber material.
REINFORCED COMPOSITE VEHICLE WHEEL AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
A composite wheel assembly and method of construction thereof is provided. The composite wheel assembly includes a wheel having an inwardly facing surface, an outwardly facing surface, a generally cylindrical barrel portion, and a plurality of apertures formed about a central hub aperture. At least one wheel cladding is fixedly bonded to at least one of the inwardly facing surface, the outwardly facing surface, and the generally cylindrical barrel portion. The wheel cladding increases the stiffness and/or strength of the wheel between about 2-16% or greater as compared to the wheel not having the at least one cladding.
Elastomeric fastener system for wheel devices
A system. The system includes a wheel, a protective device and a fastener system. The fastener system is connected to the wheel and the protective device. The fastener system includes an elastomeric fastener configured to allow for controlled radial and rotational displacement of the protective device relative to the wheel in x and y directions.
