The two freewheel components each include axial engagement elements and they are movable relative to one another in the axial direction between a freewheel position and an intermeshing engaging position. Rolling members are provided for defined accommodation in the hub-side freewheel component to support the hub shell relative to the hub axle. An attachment portion and a centering portion are configured in the hub shell and an attachment area and a centering area are configured on the hub-side freewheel component. The attachment area is connected with the attachment portion and the centering area is centered on the centering portion.

BICYCLE COMPONENT FOR AN AT LEAST PARTIALLY MUSCLE-POWERED BICYCLE
20200009908 · 2020-01-09 ·

A bicycle component for an at least partially muscle-powered bicycle with at least one freewheel unit including a freewheel component and a support unit and a spring unit, the freewheel component containing a tubular body section extending around a central axis and configured hollow showing a non-round outer contour for non-rotatable and axially displaceable coupling and a front surface with axial engagement components. The spring unit urges the freewheel component and the support unit apart in an axial direction of the central axis. The freewheel component, the support unit, and the spring unit form an assembly suitable for pre-assembly, and the spring unit is attached to the freewheel component and the support unit.

Axle assembly having a countershaft

An axle assembly having a countershaft. The countershaft may be disposed in an axle housing. An axle shaft may be disposed in the countershaft. A first clutch may control rotation of the countershaft with respect to the axle shaft. A second clutch may control rotation of the countershaft with respect to the axle housing.

Hub for human-powered vehicle

A hub is provided for a human-powered vehicle, and includes a hub axle, a rotating body, a bearing, an inner retainer and an outer retainer. The rotating body is rotatably mounted on the hub axle. The bearing rotatably coupling the rotating body to the hub axle. The bearing includes an inner race, an outer race and a plurality of roller elements. The inner race has an axially facing portion abutting an inner abutment of the hub axle. The outer race has an axially facing portion abutting an outer abutment of the rotating body. The roller elements are disposed between the inner race and the outer race. The inner retainer is coupled to the hub axle and abuts an axially facing portion of the inner race. The outer retainer is coupled to the rotating body and abuts an axially facing portion of the outer race.

Silent hub structure

A silent hub structure includes a hub housing, an interlocking ring, a detent ring and a cassette base. The interlocking ring is installed inside the hub housing and has a central through-hole slot therein through which a detent ring is rotatably disposed therethrough. The through-hole slot is internally and circumferentially provided with a plurality of receiving grooves recessed at an equal distance therebetween on the internal wall. Each of these receiving grooves is disposed with a metal roller pin along the axial direction. The forward-rotating direction side of every receiving groove forms a clamping portion; a magnetic member is disposed in the interlocking ring near the clamping portion of each of the receiving groove separately, whereas the backward-rotating direction side of every receiving groove forms a releasing portion.

A bicycle hub apparatus may comprise a hub body, a freewheel shell and an elastic spacer. The hub body has an axial hub axle, and an end of the hub body comprises an open-ended connecting space. A driving ring having a plurality of first driving teeth is installed inside the connecting space. The freewheel shell mounted on the hub axle of the hub body has an open-ended connecting recess, and a coupling ring received inside the connecting recess comprises a plurality of second driving teeth which are configured to engage with the first driving teeth. The elastic spacer secured in the connecting recess is coupled with an inner surface of the coupling ring. With the elastic spacer, the second driving teeth can firmly engage with the first driving teeth of the driving ring when a bicyclist pedaling in the forward direction.

Method for manufacturing rolling bearing unit and method for manufacturing vehicle

A method for manufacturing a rolling bearing unit is provided to periodically reciprocate a stage (38) in a vertical direction by rotating and driving a servo motor (44) while rotating a roll about a central axis of a hub main body using a roll driving motor (43) in a state in which a processing surface of the roll is pressed against other end surface of a caulking section in an axial direction. A period of the reciprocation is restricted by a relation between a rotation position of the roll about the central axis of the hub main body and an engaged state between concave sections, which are sections between a plurality of processed teeth formed in the processing surface of the roll, and a face spline tooth formed by the concave section.
