Caster assemblies having cam-operated brakes
Caster assemblies are disclosed herein. An example caster assembly includes a caster frame assembly including a caster frame, a caster mounting plate, and a brake arm; a pin having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, the second end to engage the brake arm; and a lever arm having a third end and a fourth end opposite the third end, the lever arm to pivot relative to the caster frame assembly between a first position and a second position, movement of the lever arm to the first position to cause the fourth end of the lever arm to actuate the pin in a first direction to move the brake arm to the engaged position to restrict rotation of the wheel.
Adjustable caster mounting plate
A adjustable caster mounting plate for moving modular structures or other heavy materials with a mounting plate, a caster assembly attached to the bottom of the mounting plate, a primary guide tab attached to the top of the mounting plate, a secondary guide tab attached to the top of the mounting plate, and a mounting tab disposed on the top surface of the mounting plate.
ELECTRIC AUXILIARY DRIVING DEVICE AND HOSPITAL BED WITH ELECTRIC AUXILIARY DRIVING DEVICE
An electric auxiliary driving device and a hospital bed with the electric auxiliary driving device are provided. The electric auxiliary driving device includes: a mounting support fixedly connected with a furniture; a rocker, a first end of the rocker being provided with a rotatable roller, and a second end of the rocker is hinged to the mounting support; a pulling device connected with the rocker, the pulling device being connected with the roller in a driving manner; a lifting device including a driving device and a sliding block moving along a straight line, the driving device driving the rocker to rotate by driving the sliding block to move; and a balancing device including a spring support rod, a first end of the spring support rod being hinged to the rocker, and a second end of the spring support rod is hinged to the sliding block.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SUPPORTING AND/OR POSITIONING A PATIENT BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER A MEDICAL PROCEDURE
A system for supporting or positioning a patient before, during, or after a medical procedure can include a platform configured to support at least a portion of a patient. A support column can be positioned beneath the platform. A base can be positioned beneath the support column and configured to support the support column. The base can include at least one drive wheel configured to contact a ground surface and move the platform with respect to the ground surface. A drive assist user interface module can be operatively connected to the at least one drive wheel. The drive assist user interface module can be configured to permit an operator of the system to selectively control movement of the at least one drive wheel. The drive assist user interface module can be part of or be attached to an attachment that includes a plate having a top surface. In one configuration, the top surface of the plate can be configured to extend parallel with a top surface of the platform when the attachment is attached to the platform.
Ball Caster Mechanism
A ball-caster assembly replaces a traditional swivel caster with a central spherical wheel [1] retained by multiple transfer bearings [4] carried on support arms [3] of a support structure [5]. The transfer bearings [4] roll against the spherical wheel [1] to reduce friction and distribute load, allowing the wheel to rotate about any axis and to passively align in the direction of travel. A stability ring [2] may join the support arms [3] to maintain geometry under load. The support structure [5] provides a mounting interface (e.g., stem or plate) for retrofit to a wheelchair or other caster-equipped device. The assembly enables zero-radius turns and smooth direction changes under load while reducing caster flutter and lateral jolts or whiplash. Although optimized for wheelchairs, the mechanism is adaptable to hospital beds, carts, trolleys, and robotic platforms.
LIFTING AND PLACING CASTER
A lifting and placing caster includes a mounting seat, a mounting frame, a swing rod and a limiting rod. One end of the mounting frame is rotatably connected to the mounting seat. The mounting frame has a roller and a first rotating shaft. The mounting frame has a strip through hole throughout which the first rotating shaft is disposed. The first rotating shaft can reciprocate in an extension direction of the strip through hole. One end of the swing rod is rotatably connected to the mounting seat, and the other end of the swing rod is rotatably connected to the first rotating shaft. The limiting rod is rotatably connected to the mounting frame. The roller can be driven to switch between a first position and a second position through the rotation of the mounting frame.
