Coupling mechanism and supporting assembly including the same
A coupling mechanism is provided for coupling a supporting element to a frame, and includes a base member and a C-shaped retainer. The frame includes a frame body and a leg member that has a leg body extending downwardly from the frame body to terminate at an enlarged leg end. The base member defines therein a recess for the enlarged leg end therein. The supporting element is coupled to a lower major surface of the base wall. The C-shaped retainer extends to be disposed about the leg body, and is configured to be detachably coupled to a surrounding wall of the base member for retaining the enlarged leg end in the recess.
Formfitting securing device for a roller
A formfitting securing device for a roller has a rotation blocking engagement part which is biased into an engagement position by means of a first spring. The first spring exerts a bias onto the rotation-blocking engagement part both in the engaged position as well as in the nonengaged position, and a bias is achieved in the non-engaged position by acting on the rotation-blocking engagement part by means of a second spring.
Corner caster attachment
A caster attachment is provided. The caster attachment includes a body portion having an angled plate attached to a bottom plate. The angled plate and bottom plate fit an outside corner of a case. A fastener receiving portion is affixed to the body portion. The body portion has a hole for receiving a rivet. The fastener receiving portion has a threaded bore. There is a fastener that is attached to a wheel. The fastener is attachable and detachable to the threaded bore.
TABLE GLIDE SPACER
A table leg assembly for supporting a table top. The table leg assembly includes a leg member having a lower end that defines an open interior. A tube end insert is received within the open interior at the lower end of each of the leg members. A threaded internal opening of the tube end insert receives an attachment rod of either a caster wheel assembly or a glide assembly. The glide assembly includes a glide member having a support foot mounted to the threaded attachment rod. A spacer is positioned along the attachment rod between the lower end of the leg member and the support foot. The spacer is movable along the attachment rod to cover the threaded attachment rod and lock the glide member in position. The attachment rod of the caster wheel assembly is received within the tube end insert to mount the caster wheel assembly to the leg member.
CASTER HUB
A caster hub is provided that includes a housing having a wall with internal and external surfaces and an axial bore defined by the wall. First and second bearings are disposed coaxially in the bore of the housing. Each bearing has a cylindrical inner race and a cylindrical outer race, with the races separated by rolling elements, and the races defining interior and exterior radial end faces of the bearings. A seat is disposed in the bore that is connected to the internal surface of the wall between the first and second bearings. The seat is engageable with the outer races of the bearings at the confronting interior end faces of the bearings. An inner spacer is disposed in the bore between the first and second bearings, the inner spacer being engageable with the inner races of the bearings at the confronting interior end faces of the bearings.
ROLLER AND ATTACHMENT DAMPING PART FOR A ROLLER
A roller has a wheel, a wheel axle and a pin which protrudes upward from a housing of the roller. A sleeve sits on the pin and is spaced apart from the pin radially and axially upward by a damping material arranged between the sleeve and the pin, the damping material being arranged so that all axial and/or radial contact between the pin and the sleeve is prevented. Alternatively, an attachment damping part can be arranged on a pin of the roller in overlap with the pin, wherein the attachment damping part has an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve, the inner sleeve being spaced apart radially and axially upward by a damping material arranged between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve. The damping material is arranged in such a way that all axial and/or radial contact between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve is prevented.
Caster adapter and methods related thereto
An exemplary embodiment of a caster adapter includes a connecting base for coupling the caster adapter to a caster, at least two panels forming at least part of an adapter member and defining the interior of the adapter member wherein at least a portion of a leg of an object is insertable into the interior of the adapter member. The adapter member may contain a leg conforming portion that protrudes outward from the interior of the adapter member and corresponds with a leg protrusion on a leg of an object wherein the leg protrusion will fit within the leg conforming portion such that the object may be lifted off the ground without the caster adapter, and coupled caster, slipping off of the leg. The leg may be inserted into the caster adapter through an opening in the side of the adapter member, wherein the opening is blocked by the use of at least one containment member interacting with the adapter member. The leg conforming portion may be customized depending on the leg protrusion location and size on the subject leg. The containment member not only acts to retain the leg within the caster adapter but also allows for quick release of the caster adapter from the leg. The adapter member of the caster adapter is customizable to fit various geometries of legs. The containment member may be retained in proximity to the caster adapter through the use of an attachment member that is attachable to the adapter member and the containment member.
Apparatus for Spring Centered Caster Wheel
An autonomous delivery vehicle having one or more caster wheels that may be held off the ground for a portion of the time that the autonomous delivery vehicle travels. Each caster wheel is mounted in a pivot with a centering mechanism to hold the caster wheels in a design orientation. The caster wheel in the design orientation maximizes the view of forward-looking sensors on the autonomous delivery vehicle. The centering mechanism uses a compression spring that drives a follower and swashshaft to apply a rotation force on the caster wheels. The rotational force urges the casters frame and wheels to return to a design position. The rotational force increases with the rotational difference between the caster rotational position and the design position.
WHEEL CASTER
A wheel caster comprising a roller, and a two piece socket, wherein the two piece socket comprises a top housing, having a concave cavity to accept the roller in a freely rotatable configuration, a stem, to be inserted inside a leg of an object, and a bottom housing comprising an opening to allow a portion of the roller to extend below the bottom housing allowing the roller to contact a surface.
