Caster for movable objects
12138961 · 2024-11-12 · ·

The invention relates to a caster for movable objects, and more particularly a bed caster, and at least comprises: a running wheel; a fork receiving said running wheel; a guide tube which is designed to be swivelable relative to the fork via at least one bearing; locking means provided on the fork side; and a braking system which can be brought into operative connection with the running wheel and is designed to block rotation of the wheels, characterised in that the braking system includes a brake shoe, a brake spindle, a guide pin and a cup-shaped guide element, wherein the brake spindle has groove-shaped guides, the cup-shaped guide element is provided with projections, and the projections can be brought into operative connection with the guides of the brake spindle in order to form the anti-rotation means.

CART STABILIZATION SYSTEM, ROLLING CART ELEMENTS AND METHODS OF USING SAME

A cart stabilization system and rolling cart elements for robotic surgery and other medical instrumentation are disclosed. The cart stabilization system includes a base and lifting caster systems coupled to a bottom portion of the base. Each lifting caster system includes a rolling element, a swivel foot assembly moveably coupled to the rolling element; and a hydraulic mounting base coupled to a portion of the swivel foot assembly. Methods of assembling a lifting caster system and for using a cart stabilization system are also disclosed.

Auxiliary vehicle tire deployment system
09919556 · 2018-03-20 ·

A system for compensating for a flat tire, including a tire deployment sub-system and a tire pressure monitoring sub-system. The tire deployment system comprises an extendable auxiliary tire mounted to the frame of the automobile that is in communication with the tire pressure monitoring system and a user interface. The tire pressure monitoring system is adapted to monitor the internal pressure of the tires of the vehicle, via either direct or indirect means, and send a notification signal to the tire deployment system when the pressure sensor detects that one of the tires of the vehicle is losing pressure. The deployed auxiliary tire provides a temporary support for the tire that has gone flat, allowing the driver to continue driving for a period of time and thereby obviating the need to immediately pull to the side of the road and change out the flat for a spare tire.

Caster and whiteboard comprising caster

Disclosed are: a caster mounted on a teaching aid including a whiteboard, or furniture, etc. so as to conveniently and stably convert between a movement state and a stopping state; and a whiteboard including the caster. The caster is mounted on a pedestal fixed to the lower end of a column frame on which the whiteboard is mounted.

STORAGE SHELF MOVING DEVICE AND SYSTEM
20250024944 · 2025-01-23 ·

A storage shelf moving device is disclosed herein and may include a plurality of moving devices. Each of the plurality of moving devices includes a main body and a wheel assembly. The main body includes an elongate portion and an end plate oriented substantially perpendicular to the elongate portion. The elongate portion may be operable to selectively couple to the storage shelf. The wheel assembly may be coupled to the main body and include an extendable support and a wheel rotatably mounted at a lower end of the extendable support. The storage shelf moving system may be operable to lift the storage shelf from the ground surface when the extendable supports of each of the plurality of moving devices are extended.

Walking aid device

Actuating mechanism for a caster
12285975 · 2025-04-29 · ·

An actuating mechanism for a caster that brakes and positions the caster by means of a cam mechanism that enables braking of the caster using minimum forces developed on the brake lever or brake rod. The mechanism helps to handle casters of patient support apparatuses in hospital and nursery facilities easily, using minimum force developed by caregivers or by an electronic caster brake systems if used for braking of casters of patient support apparatuses, as well. The mechanism may produce an outstanding decrease of noise level of castors on patient support apparatuses.

Retractable furniture caster system
12319088 · 2025-06-03 · ·

An example article of furniture includes a number of furniture legs having mechanically coupled thereto a respective furniture caster having a rolling component. The furniture casters are movable between (i) an extended position in which their rolling components at least partially extend below bottom surfaces of the furniture legs and (ii) a retracted position in which their rolling components are positioned entirely above the bottom surfaces of the furniture legs. Push-pull cables are mechanically coupled to the furniture casters, and at least one actuator is mechanically coupled to the push-pull cables. When actuated, the actuator applies a pushing force to the push-pull cables, thereby causing the furniture casters to transition from the retracted position to the extended position. When the actuator is not actuated, the pushing force is removed from the push-pull cables, thereby causing the furniture casters to transition from the extended position to the retracted position.
