Anti-Theft Lug Nut Assembly
The present application is directed to an anti-theft lug nut assembly and/or system for vehicular wheel use. A lug nut assembly of this application may be used in connection with each wheel of a particular vehicle. In another instance, multiple lug nut assemblies may be used in connection with a single wheel of a vehicle. In such instances, the lug nut assemblies may incorporate a common key member or distinct key members for use with each distinct lug members. Common wrenches and sockets are unable to engage and turn the lug member of this application as a result of the outer surface configuration of the lug member.
Wheel lock with central expander
A main module adapted to be attached to a wheel of a vehicle is disclosed, comprising a centre bolt, an expander and a locking mechanism. The main module is configured to be fitted with a blocking means configured to cover nuts or bolts of the wheel. The centre bolt is adapted to be connected to the main module by means of a threading such that the axial position of the centre bolt, as seen along the axis of rotation of the wheel, can be adjusted by rotating the centre bolt relative the main module, and such that the expander expands in a radial direction of the wheel as the axial position of the centre bolt is adjusted. The expander is thereby allowed to engage with the wheel to secure the module to said wheel.
HIGH SECURITY FASTENER WITH DRIVE COUPLING KEY
A fastener body having a key-engaging portion, a threaded fastening portion, and a shroud-receiving body portion; a shroud concentrically and rotationally mounted on the shroud-receiving body portion and rotatable relative to the fastener body; a torque coupler comprising a key portion rotationally engaging the key-engaging portion of the fastener body and a shroud-engaging portion rotationally engaging a coupler-engaging portion of the shroud, and the shroud having a tool-engaging portion to which an external driving torque may be applied; wherein the coupler is operatively configured to be in rotatable relationship with both the key-engaging portion of the fastener body and the coupler-engaging portion of the shroud such that the fastener body will rotate about the central axis with rotation of the shroud about the central axis under an external driving torque applied about the central axis to the tool-engaging portion of the shroud at a design installation torque.
Lug Nut Locking Systems
Lug nut locking systems, including s for securing lug nuts on a wheel of a motor vehicle comprising a frame with ratcheting apertures. In some embodiments, the device has a pair of supports that fit over the wheel's lug bolts and underneath the frame. In other embodiments, the device comprises uniquely configured securing caps that fit over the lug bolts. In still other embodiments, the device comprises a plurality of protective covers that fit over the securing caps.
Vehicle Wheel Anti-Theft System And Method
Embodiments include a vehicle comprising a plurality of wheels, each wheel including a pressure sensor and a wireless transceiver; a central transceiver configured to obtain tire pressure and signal strength information from each of the wireless transceivers; and a processor communicatively coupled to the central transceiver and configured to detect removal of one of the wheels based on the signal strength information obtained from the wireless transceiver included in the removed wheel. Other embodiments include a method comprising obtaining tire pressure and signal strength information from each of a plurality of wireless transceivers respectively coupled to a plurality of wheels included in a vehicle; and detecting, using one or more processors, removal of one of the wheels from the vehicle based on the signal strength information obtained from the wireless transceiver included in the removed wheel.
Decorative security fastener
A security fastener assembly is provided with a cap having a standard tool bearing surface and an attachment portion formed opposite the tool bearing surface. A fastener body has a mating attachment portion formed at a first end along which the cap is secured and a keyed security feature formed adjacent the mating attachment portion. A second end of the fastener body has a threaded fastener portion for securing the fastener assembly to a vehicle. The threaded portion of the fastener body is installed with rotation in a first direction. Engaging the tool bearing surface of the cap and rotating in a second direction opposite the first direction does not rotate the threaded portion of the fastener body. The fastener body is removable with the keyed security feature.
Wheel locking assembly and method
A wheel locking assembly is provided for securing a wheel to a wheel hub of a motor vehicle. That wheel locking assembly includes a locking cylinder and a wheel retainer. The wheel retainer is displaceable by means of the locking cylinder between an unlocked position, allowing removal of the wheel from the wheel hub and a locked position securing the wheel to the wheel hub. A related method for securing a wheel to a wheel hub of a motor vehicle is also disclosed.
Locking system for car wheel
A locking device for car wheels is disclosed to prevent unauthorized removal of the wheels. The device includes a locking unit that allows covering of special bolt heads by covering wings. The locking module can be further covered with a covering plate. The system provides multiple layers of protection to the wheels and considerably lengthens the time required to remove the wheel without proper keys.

MULTIPLE FREQUENCY BAND BRAKING APPARATUS WITH MAGNETIC FORCE INTERPOSER
A shopping cart wheel includes a braking apparatus, and electronics that control the braking apparatus in response to wireless signals. The wireless signals include low frequency electromagnetic signals within a low frequency band and high frequency signals within a high frequency band. The braking apparatus includes a moveable interposer and an interposer controller where the moveable interposer is moved between braking and non-breaking positions at least partially with magnetic force.
