WHEEL ASSEMBLY SEAL
A wheel assembly includes a spindle; a wheel hub rotatable relative to the spindle; and a seal mounted between the spindle and the wheel hub, the seal comprising a first portion and a second portion, the first portion coupled to the spindle, the second portion coupled to the wheel hub, the seal configured to prevent fluid flow through a cavity defined between the spindle and the wheel hub.
Tubeless valve assembly
A bicycle wheel comprises a rim and a valve assembly. The rim includes a radially inner wall having an inner opening and a radially outer wall having an outer opening. A first portion of the rim includes a first securing feature (e.g., inner threads). The valve assembly is positioned in the inner opening and outer opening and includes a second securing feature (e.g., outer threads) engaging the first securing feature. The rim can include a plate that defines the first engaging feature. The valve assembly preferably includes a valve stem and a resilient bumper coupled to the valve stem and aligned with a second portion of the rim. The valve assembly can further include a seal member compressed between the valve stem and the rim. Preferably, the seal member is positioned in an annular groove in an underside of an enlarged head of the valve stem.
In-wheel drive device and vehicle including the same
An in-wheel drive device includes: a wheel bearing including a hub; and a speed reducer at least partially disposed in an internal space of the wheel bearing. The speed reducer includes: planet gears; a ring gear configured to engage the planet gears; and a carrier coupled to the planet gears and configured to transmit, to an outside of the in-wheel drive device, power generated by a revolution of the plurality of planet gears. A first sealing part is disposed in a region in which the carrier and the wheel bearing face each other.
POWER TRANSMISSION DEVICE
A power transmission device includes: an axle housing having a central hole where a drive shaft is penetrated; a wheel hub disposed in an outer portion of the axle housing via wheel bearings; a speed-reducer housing chamber provided in the wheel hub to cover an opening end portion of the axle housing; a gear speed reducer, formed inside the speed-reducer housing chamber, to decelerate a rotation of the drive shaft and transmit the rotation to the wheel hub; and a wet-type brake mechanism housed in a brake chamber formed between the axle housing and the wheel hub, and actuated such that braking is applied to a rotation of the wheel hub relative to the axle housing. Further, floating seals are disposed between a lubrication space and the speed-reducer housing chamber, and a circulation passage for oil that includes an oil filter is connected to the lubrication space.
Wheel Bearing Apparatus
A wheel bearing apparatus has an outer member, an inner member, and double row rolling elements contained between the outer raceway surfaces and inner raceway surfaces of the outer member and the inner member. A cup-shaped steel protective cover is mounted on the inner-side end of the outer member. The cover fitting portion has a cylindrical portion, a radially reduced portion and an elastic member. The elastic member has an annular projection and a contact lip. When the protective cover is fit into the outer member, the annular projection closely contacts with the fitting surface while elastically deforming and the contact lip elastically contacts the inner-side end of the outer member.
MODULAR PORTAL BOX WET BRAKE
A modular portal lift assembly is configured to couple to an axle and a wheel of a vehicle so as to raise the ground clearance. The portal lift assembly includes a portal box and a brake module. The brake module is configured to couple to the portal box and is removable the portal lift assembly. The portal box and the brake module each define a housing that encloses an interior volume. The portal lift assembly is configured to separate the interior volume of the portal box and the interior volume of the brake module. Further, the portal box defines a recess that is configured to receive the brake module. When the brake module is coupled to the portal box, the brake module is positioned in the recess.
