There is provided silicone based materials with enhanced tackiness upon cure. These may be used for cured self-adhering silicone-based products such as pressure sensitive adhesives, self-adhering materials and/or self-sealing materials, made from condensation curable silicone-based compositions, the compositions therefor and to applications for which said self-adhesive products may be used. In one particular application the cured silicone based material may be utilised as a self-sealing layer in an inflatable article such as a pneumatic tire.

Tire assemblies are disclosed. In one embodiment a tire insert assembly includes an elastomeric tire insert constructed to be received within a tire, the tire having sidewalls and a tread portion. An upper crown surface of the tire insert and a lower surface of the tire define an outer chamber and the tire insert defines an inner chamber. The tire insert may be configured to support a substantial portion of the sidewall of the tire when the inner chamber is inflated.

The present technology provides a pneumatic tire that can improve air dispersibility during vulcanizing at the interfaces of a plurality of types of rubber layers integrally formed by rolling or extruding, and that can effectively suppress blister defects. A pneumatic tire is described for heavy load and severe conditions. The tire has a carcass with one or more cord reinforced plies and a pair of bead portions. Each bead portion has at least one annular inextensible bead core about which the cord reinforced plies are wrapped. The bead core has a substantially flat bead face joined together with rounded ends on each side of the bead face.

A pneumatic tire is described for heavy load and severe conditions. The tire has a carcass with one or more cord reinforced plies and a pair of bead portions.
