A method for using a computer or computers to generate cut-point data including information indicating a three-dimensional position of a point on a cane of a fruit tree where the cane is to be cut off, includes, for each of one or more canes of the fruit tree, acquiring values concerning two or more attributes, including an attribute having different evaluation criteria depending on a cultivation method of the fruit tree and an attribute having unchanging evaluation criteria irrespective of a cultivation method of the fruit tree, based on sensor data including information indicating a three-dimensional structure of the one or more canes, determining the one or more canes each as a cane to be removed or a cane to be retained based on the measurement values, and generating the cut-point data for each cane determined as a cane to be removed.

A method for using a computer or computers to generate cut-point data including information indicating a three-dimensional position of a point on a cane of a fruit tree where the cane is to be cut off includes acquiring information on a cultivation method of the fruit tree, for each of one or more canes of the fruit tree, acquiring a measurement value(s) concerning one or more attributes including an attribute having different evaluation criteria depending on the cultivation method, based on sensor data including information indicating a three-dimensional structure of the one or more canes acquired by a sensor or sensors, determining the one or more canes each as a cane to be removed or a cane to be retained based on the measurement value(s), and generating the cut-point data for each cane determined as a cane to be removed.

A method for using a computer or computers to generate cut-point data including information indicating a three-dimensional position of a point on a cane of a fruit tree where the cane is to be cut off includes, for each of one or more canes of the fruit tree, acquiring measurement values concerning two or more attributes, including an attribute concerning buds on the cane and an attribute other than buds, based on sensor data of the one or more canes being acquired by a sensor or sensors, determining the one or more canes each as a cane to be removed or a cane to be retained based on the measurement values, and generating the cut-point data for each cane determined as a cane to be removed.
Pruner
A pruner is provided including a pruning mechanism including a pruning blade on a tip side, a pole connected to a base side of the pruning mechanism, and a hook mechanism including a hook that projects to a lateral side substantially orthogonal to a central axis of the pole and that is displaceable in a range from a first position where an end portion is away from the central axis to a second position where the end portion is close to the central axis. The hook is configured to keep the first position when first external force in a direction from the base side toward the tip side is applied, and be displaced from the first position to the second position when second external force in a direction from the tip side toward the base side and/or a direction from the lateral side toward the central axis is applied.
Pruner
A pruner includes a pruner body, a cutting system, an electric motor to provide driving power for the cutting system. Rotation of the electric motor in a first direction is provides a cutting action. A control system is provided for controlling the electric motor. The pruner further includes a blade stuck detection system to detect a blade stuck situation in which the cutting system is not able to reach the closed position, and the control system, as a response to detection of the blade stuck situation, is configured in a recut operation to rotate the electric motor in a second direction opposite the first direction, and then to rotate the electric motor in the first direction to actuate the cutting system towards the closed position.

A method operates a hand-guided processing device having a user-activated operating sensor device with a plurality of different detection positions. The method involves the steps: a) detecting a sequence of activations of the operating sensor device at different detection positions of the plurality of detection positions, and b) when the detected sequence corresponds to a given sequence, calibrating the operating sensor device for at least one detection position of the plurality of detection positions based on at least one of the activations of the detected activations.
Terrain-Adaptive Brush Cutter with Dual Transmission and Telescoping Limb Cutter
A heavy duty brush cutter includes a chassis, an engine, left and right cutting decks with rotating mower blades, transmissions, and a gear box. The cutter features telescoping drive shafts, hydraulic actuators for deck adjustment, a forward frame with axles for wheels or tracks, and steering arms for directional control. Drive apparatus
A hand-held drive apparatus comprises an apparatus main body including a pruner and a handle rotatably connected to the apparatus main body and including a rotation lock mechanism and a drive operation mechanism. The rotation lock mechanism includes a rotation lock lever movable to a rotation prevention position where the handle is prevented from rotating, and to a rotation allowance position where the handle is allowed to rotate. The drive operation mechanism includes a switch configured to control activation of the pruner and a throttle lever movable to a contact position where the throttle lever pushes the switch and to a non-contact position where the throttle lever is separated from the switch. The throttle lever contacts the rotation lock lever at the rotation allowance position to maintain the non-contact position, and is, when the rotation lock lever is at the rotation prevention position, allowed to move to the contact position.
