A bias-ply motorcycle tire comprises a tread portion provided with main grooves and sipes. The main grooves extend from a tread crown region into tread shoulder regions. The sipes are provided only within the tread shoulder regions.

A motorcycle tire includes a tread portion between a pair of tread edges, a pair of sidewall portions, a pair of bead portions, and a carcass having a bias structure and extending between the bead portions. The tread portion, when a tread development width between the pair of tread edges is equally divided into five regions, includes a crown region, a pair of shoulder regions and a pair of middle regions located between the crown region and each of the shoulder regions. The carcass includes a plurality of carcass cords, and an angle θs with respect to a tire circumferential direction of at least one of the plurality of carcass cords in the shoulder regions is greater than an angle θc with respect to the tire circumferential direction of at least one of the plurality of carcass cords in the crown region.

A motorcycle tire includes a tread portion between a pair of tread edges, a pair of sidewall portions, a pair of bead portions, and a carcass having a bias structure and extending between the bead portions. A bias tire includes two or more carcass layers, at least one belt disposed outward from the carcass layers in a tire radial direction, a reinforcing rubber layer disposed between carcass plies included in a carcass layer of the carcass layers. A belt width of a widest belt with the widest width of the belts is 110% or more and 150% or less of a tread developed width, and a position of an upper end portion of the reinforcing rubber layer located outward in the tire radial direction is apart 3 mm or more from an end portion of the widest belt.

A bias tire includes two or more carcass layers, at least one belt disposed outward from the carcass layers in a tire radial direction, a reinforcing rubber layer disposed between carcass plies included in a carcass layer of the carcass layers. A belt width of a widest belt with the widest width of the belts is 110% or more and 150% or less of a tread developed width, and a position of an upper end portion of the reinforcing rubber layer located outward in the tire radial direction is apart 3 mm or more from an end portion of the widest belt.

A motorcycle tire set includes a front-wheel tire and a rear-wheel tire. Each of the front and rear-wheel tires includes a carcass, a band layer arranged radially outwardly of the carcass in the tread portion, and a tread rubber arranged radially outwardly of the band layer. The carcass includes a carcass ply including carcass cords. The band layer includes a jointless band ply in which a band cord is circumferentially wound spirally at an angle equal to or less than 5 degrees. The tread rubber includes a crown rubber portion. An angle θ1 of the carcass cords of the front-wheel tire is 65 degrees or more with respect to the tire circumferential direction. A rubber hardness of the crown rubber portion of the rear-wheel tire is greater than a rubber hardness of the crown rubber portion of the front-wheel tire.

A tire set for a tricycle having one first wheel and two second wheels includes one first tire to be mounted on the first wheel and two second tires to be mounted on the second wheels. Each of the second tires has a cornering power of 50% or more and less than 100% of a cornering power of the first tire.

The invention relates to a two-wheeled vehicle pneumatic tire (1), preferably bicycle tire, particularly preferably racing bike tire (1), having a tread (2), a tire carcass, tire side walls (3) and two bead regions (4), each with a tire bead with a core (5), wherein the tire carcass comprises two carcass inlays (6,6′) wherein the two carcass inlays (6, 6′) extend from a zenith region (17) of the two-wheeled vehicle pneumatic tire (1) over the tire side walls (3) as far as the two bead regions (4) and are looped there around the respective core (5) from axially on the inside axially outward and end with carcass inlay ends (7,7′) and wherein the two bead regions (4) each have a bead protective strip (8) arranged on the carcass from the outside as protection against chafing.

The problem addressed is that of improving the rolling resistance.

The problem is solved in that the carcass inlay ends (7′) of the inner carcass inlay (6′) are covered from the outside by the respective bead protective strip (8), wherein the inner carcass inlay (6′) is formed by that carcass inlay of the two carcass inlays (6, 6′) which is the radially inner carcass inlay in the zenith region (17). The invention furthermore relates to a two-wheeled vehicle having a tire of said type.

A motorcycle tire pair includes a front tire 2 and a rear tire 42. A center arc index Ac, a middle arc index Am, and a shoulder arc index As are obtained on the basis of a contour line TLf of a tread surface 16 of the front tire 2 and a contour line TLr of a tread surface 56 of the rear tire 42. In the tire pair, the middle arc index Am is larger than the center arc index Ac, and the shoulder arc index As is larger than the middle arc index Am.

A tire pair includes a front tire 2 and a rear tire 52. The front tire 2 includes a pair of beads 18, a carcass 10 extending on and between a first bead 18 and a second bead 18, a tread 4 located outward of the carcass 10 in a radial direction, and a band 14 located between the tread 4 and the carcass 10 in the radial direction. A ratio (Jf/Jr) of a bending stiffness Jf of the band cord 34 of the front tire 2 to a bending stiffness Jr of a band cord 84 of the rear tire 52 is not less than 0.0 and less than 0.7.
