SIDE-REINFORCEMENT-TYPE RUN-FLAT RADIAL TIRE
20170036494 · 2017-02-09 ·

A run-flat radial tire is provided with a side reinforcement rubber layer that extends in the tire radial direction along an inner face of a carcass and an angled belt layer that is provided at the tire radial direction outer side of the carcass. An overlap length L between a maximum width angled belt layer and the side reinforcement rubber layer satisfies the relationship L>0.14 SH with a tire section height SH. A thickness GD of the side reinforcement rubber layer at a position that is 14% of the tire section height to the tire axial direction inner side from a tire axial direction end portion of the maximum width angled belt layer and a thickness GA of the side reinforcement rubber layer at a maximum width position of the carcass satisfy the relationship GD/GA0.3.

A pneumatic tire includes a carcass, a tread portion and a belt layer having a first inclined belt ply, circumferential direction belt ply, and second inclined belt ply. Ground contact edge side belt plies extend from tire width direction end portions of the second inclined belt ply toward tire width direction outsides, at a tire radial direction outside of the carcass. With respect to a tire circumferential direction, an angle of cords of the first inclined belt ply is from 45 to 60, an angle of a cord of the circumferential direction belt ply is 5 or less, an angle of cords of the second inclined belt ply is from 30 to 60, and an angle of cords of the ground contact edge side belt plies exceeds 5 and is 30 or less. A distance dimension of the ground contact edge side belt plies is 80% or more of a ground contact width.

Pneumatic Tire

The present technology provides a pneumatic tire having a strip-shaped sound-absorbing member bonded on the inner surface of the tire includes a plurality of belt layers, two or more belt cover layers, one or more belt edge cover layers, and a thread rubber layer. The thickness of the tread rubber layer is substantially uniform in the region X where the sound-absorbing member is located so that the difference between the thickness t1 at an end of the sound-absorbing member and the thickness t0 at the position of the tire equator is equal to or less than 0.5 mm. The thickness of the tread rubber layer is smaller in the region Y where the belt edge cover layer is located than in the region X so that the difference between the minimum value t2 of the thickness in the region Y and the thickness t0 ranges from 1.0 to 4.0 mm.

A run flat radial tire having a tire cross-section height of 115 mm or greater includes a carcass spanning between a pair of bead portions, a side reinforcing rubber layer that is provided to a tire side portion and that extends in a tire radial direction along an inner face of the carcass, and at least one inclined belt layer provided at a tire radial direction outside of the carcass and includes cord extending in a direction inclined to a tire circumferential direction. At least at one end portion side in the tire axial direction of a maximum width inclined belt layer having the largest width in the tire axial direction, the maximum width inclined belt layer and the side reinforcing rubber layer have an overlap width in the tire axial direction of 15% or greater of the tire axial direction width of the maximum width inclined belt layer.
