Retractable leash system
An animal restraint system which involves variable adjustability of maximum extension. A braking device with a pivoting tip which can move from a neutral position to a locked engaged position, a disengaged position, and a semi-engaged position. The semi-engaged position allows for spool rotation in the direction of retraction, while preventing spool rotation in the direction of extension. A brake lock with multiple settings including engaged position, disengaged position, and a semi-engaged position. A spool with teeth where one or more of the teeth is different from the others in shape, size or relative position to promote brake engagement efficiency. A leash maximum settings display. A moving leash guide which reduces tangling during extension and retraction. An adjustable handle grip to accommodate different hand sizes. A snap-on accessory attachment system. A leash dispenser system which limits full extension to reduce system failure.
ANIMAL RESISTANCE TRAINING SYSTEM
A weight training apparatus for animals includes a leg strap with a proximal face and distal face, at least one pocket integrated into the leg strap, a first interlocking piece that rests on the proximal face, and a second interlocking piece that rests on the distal face. The first interlocking piece and second interlocking piece are positioned on the opposite ends of the leg strap. The at least one pocket is placed between the first interlocking piece and the second interlocking piece and is capable of holding at least one selected weight from a plurality of weights.
Blind dog navigation system
The present invention relates to a device and a method associated with helping blind dogs navigate. With respect to the device, it is a set of one or more sensors and stimulators, which provide situational awareness to a blind dog regarding objects and sudden drops in its vicinity, helping the dog freely move about without the risk of collision or fall. The core components of the invention are a distance sensor, a microcontroller, a tactile/audio stimulator, an accelerometer, a power source, a control panel, a body harness, and a head wrap, which, generally speaking, are configured as follows: a frontal distance sensor mounted on top of a blind dog's head using the head band, the lower distance sensor, the stimulators, the microcontroller, the accelerometer, the power source, and the control panel are mounted on the blind dog using the body harness. With respect to the associated method, in order to carry out the method the following core steps are followed: a frontal distance sensor method to detect the objects in front of the blind dog and alert the blind dog when a collision is imminent, a drop sensor method to detect sudden drops in front of the blind dog and alert the dog when a fall is imminent, a velocity calibration method and a velocity computation method determine the movements of the dog based on accelerometer signals, and a velocity compensated alert method adjust and increase the alert distance/time when the dog is moving toward an obstacle or a drop.
Leash attachable portage and storage apparatus
A leash attachable portage and storage apparatus includes an upper portion securable to a reservoir portion and at least one bowl member. The reservoir portion is disposed to nest into the upper portion and the at least one bowl member is secures to the upper portion around the reservoir portion to contain the reservoir portion therein. Fluids are storable and portable within the reservoir portion and decantable into the at least one bowl member. The at least one bowl member may include a first bowl and a second bowl. Additional items, such as foodstuffs and treats for reward, are portable in the second bowl. Additional bowls may be attached to the device and portage of personal effects and accouterments is thereby enabled in a compact array manually wieldable to control an animal tethered to the apparatus.
Multi-purpose plastic bag holder for use with a retractable dog leash and in other scalable waste containment configurations
A bag dispenser having a housing adapted to receive plastic bags. The housing has a front end, a back end that is spaced apart from the front end, a top side, a bottom side that is spaced apart from the top side, a left side, a right side that is spaced apart from the left side, a front opening that is disposed at the front end, and a pair of back openings that are disposed at the back end. The housing defines an interior space adapted to removably hold the plastic bags. The bag dispenser also comprises a means for attaching the housing to another object. A method for removably holding plastic bags in a bag dispenser.
Diaper support garment for four-legged animal
A diaper support garment for a four-legged animal comprises an article of animal clothing shaped to substantially cover fore and midsection body areas of a four-legged animal without covering or interfering with the waste product discharge areas of the animal; a closable utility envelope for defining at least one storage compartment which is removably secured to the article of animal clothing for helping to prevent displacement and slippage of a disposable diaper from a hindquarter area of the four-legged animal when the disposable diaper is worn in combination with the primary protective garment; the closable utility pocket being provided with a closure flap to seal the at least one storage compartment to conceal and store for deployment when needed at least one tethered diaper coupler for securely gripping and helping to maintain the disposable diaper in an intended animal protective position for capturing and collecting animal waste products discharged from the four-legged animal.
Leash device and method of stopping bad behavior of an animal
A leash device having a housing that comprises a handle portion; a leash assembly; an engagement opening; a reservoir; a sprayer outlet; a liquid sprayer that fluidly communicates the sprayer outlet to the reservoir, and a trigger for urging a jet of liquid from the reservoir and through the sprayer outlet and a method of stopping bad behavior of an animal by using the above-mentioned leash device, including filling the reservoir with a liquid; connecting a leash to a leash hook; and triggering the liquid sprayer to urge a jet of liquid from the reservoir, through the spray outlet, and toward the animal engaged in bad behavior.
Portable carrier bag for disposing pet waste
Proposed is a portable carrier bag for disposing pet waste in which a tissue storage space portion storing tissues or wet tissues and a pet waste storage space portion storing pet waste are separated from each other, an opening and closing member to open and close the tissue storage space portion is formed of a magnet, a fastener is installed along both lateral surfaces and a lower surface of the pet waste storage space portion, openings are formed on the rear surface of the pet waste storage space portion, a loop for connection with a pet leash is formed in the center of the top surface of the pet waste storage space portion or loops for connection with a shoulder strap are formed on the upper parts of both lateral surfaces thereof, and the portable carrier bag is made of a synthetic resin material.
TEMPERATURE REGULATING CANINE HARNESS
