A pneumatic vehicle tire for utility vehicles has a profiled tread having two circumferential ribs that are adjacent and are separated by a circumferential groove of depth H formed from radially inner and outer extension sections of height H.sub.1 and H.sub.2. The groove in the radially inner extension section is a channel of height H.sub.1 and breadth B.sub.1, and in the outer extension section is configured, along its circumferential extent, with an alternating sequence of first and second circumferential regions. The two flanks in the first regions are each configured, in the transition to the outer surface of the rib, with a chamfer of height H.sub.4 such that H.sub.4<H.sub.2, and are spaced by a distance B.sub.2 along their radial extent in the outer extension section from radially inward to radially outward as far as the chamfer.

Tread for a heavy goods vehicle tire

Tread (1) for a heavy-duty vehicle tire having a total thickness corresponding to the thickness of material to be worn away during running, this tread having, in the new state, a tread surface (10) intended to come into contact with a roadway when running. The tread comprises at least one hidden cavity (2) forming a new groove opening onto the tread surface after a predetermined amount of partial wear. Cavity (2) comprises two opposite lateral walls (21, 22) connected together by bottom (23) radially towards the inside and by crown part (24) radially towards the outside. Crown part (24) is provided with a plurality of fine grooves (25) extending radially towards the outside from crown part (24) delimiting the cavity and extending in a direction that makes an angle at least equal to 40 degrees with the main direction of cavity (2).

Tire with enhanced wet grip

Provided is a tire capable of efficiently discharging water, which is additionally absorbed through a plurality of flow tubes, through the flow tubes and a drain tube, thereby improving wet grip performance. The tire with enhanced wet grip includes a kerf formed on a block to discharge water introduced thereinto to a groove, a drain tube formed in the kerf in its longitudinal direction and connected to the groove to discharge the water to the groove, and a flow tube formed in the kerf toward the drain tube from an inlet of the kerf, into which the water is introduced, and connected to the groove or the drain tube.

A lateral groove provided in a tread portion has: an opening formed in a tread surface; a minimum portion having the smallest groove width, positioned radially inside the opening; and a maximum portion having the largest groove width, positioned radially inside the minimum portion. The width of the opening increases toward the outside in the tire axial direction.

Tread for a heavy-duty vehicle tire

Tread (1) for a heavy-duty vehicle tire having, when new, a tread surface (10), with at least one evolving cut (2) comprising a part (22) hidden inside the tread which is delimited by opposing walls (221, 222) distant from one another by a maximum width Lc. The part (22) being extended towards the tread surface (10) by a sipe (21), opening into the hidden part (22) to be offset from one of the walls (221, 222) delimiting the hidden part to form a bridge situated radially over said hidden part (22). The tread having a plurality of grooves (4) open when new onto the tread surface (10), these grooves (4) opening into an evolving cut (2) to form a connecting region (41), the tread (1) further comprising, in at least 50% of the connecting regions (41, 42), a protuberance (5) extending over the entire height Hc of the hidden part (22) and over a maximum thickness Ep so as to act as a support for the bridge (211) situated radially over the hidden part (22) in the connecting region (41).
