LOW-NOISE TIRE
The tire (10) for a passenger vehicle has an axially central portion and axially lateral portions. The axially central portion and each axially lateral portion satisfies just one of conditions I, II, III: I—the portion comprises no transverse cut (90, 90′), II—the portion comprises N transverse cuts (90, 90′) arranged in such a way that π×OD/N≥40 mm, III—the portion comprises N transverse cuts (90, 90′) arranged in such a way that π×OD/N≤24 mm, condition I or II being satisfied by the axially central portion or by an axially lateral portion, and condition III being satisfied by the axially central portion or by an axially lateral portion.
Pneumatic tire
Provided is a pneumatic tire. Center land portions between main grooves extending in a zigzag shape along a circumferential direction on both sides of an equator of a tread portion are defined into repeating units by first shallow grooves that extend along a lateral direction, have both ends communicating with portions other than bent portions of the main grooves, and are disposed at intervals in the circumferential direction. The repeating units are aggregates of four blocks defined by second shallow grooves extending from the main grooves in the lateral direction and converging toward one point on the equator, a third shallow groove extending from one of the first shallow grooves adjacent to the repeating unit to one of the second shallow grooves, and a fourth shallow groove extending from an other of the first shallow grooves adjacent to the repeating units to an other of the second shallow grooves.
Tire for an Agricultural Vehicle Comprising an Improved Tread
A tire for an agricultural vehicle, and in particular its tread, which aims to increase its traction capability in the field on loose ground. The tire having a nominal section width L, a central tread portion (211), centred on an equatorial plane (E) of the tire and having an axial width L1 at least equal to 0.15*L and at most equal to 0.35*L, has circumferentially distributed tread pattern elements (221), which are separated in pairs by transverse voids (231) forming an angle at least equal to 30° with the circumferential direction (XX′), and the central tread portion (211) has a local volumetric void ratio TEVL1, defined as being the ratio between the volume VC1 of the transverse voids (231) and the total volume V1 of the central tread portion (21), between the bearing surface (24) and the tread surface (25), is at most equal to 15%.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
In a pneumatic tire including a tread portion, a sidewall portion, a bead portion, a carcass layer mounted between a pair of bead portions, a plurality of main grooves extending in the tire circumferential direction and formed in the tread portion, and a plurality of land portions defined by the main grooves, the carcass layer includes a carcass cord formed of a polyester fiber cord, an elongation at break of the carcass cord is from 20% to 30%, and a groove area ratio SgA in a ground contact region of the tread portion is from 20% to 40%, a groove area ratio SgB in a center region of the tread portion satisfies a relationship 1.1≤SgB/SgA≤1.5, and a depth of the main groove included in the center region is from 5 mm to 8 mm.
TRUCK TIRE TREAD WITH ANGLED RIBS HAVING STONE EJECTORS
A heavy truck tire tread (12) is provided that has a tread groove (14) that is not oriented completely in the longitudinal direction so as to extend in both the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction. The tread groove is at least partially defined by a leading edge wall and a trailing edge wall and a bottom surface. A stone ejector (24) engages either the leading edge wall or the trailing edge wall but not both the leading edge wall and the trailing edge wall. The stone ejector faces the non-engaged leading edge wall or the trailing edge wall. Also, the tread has an average void depth that does not go past a twenty percent line (36). The twenty percent line (36) is twenty percent of a full void depth (40) located from the outer surface of the tread, and the average void depth does not include decouple grooves and tread outboard from them.

The crown land region has a plurality of crown lateral grooves. The first middle land region has a plurality of first middle lateral grooves. In a tread plan view, an angle between a first linear line connecting both ends of each of the crown lateral grooves and a second linear line connecting both ends of a respective one of the first middle lateral grooves is 90 degrees or more and 150 degrees or less. Each of the crown lateral grooves includes a first end portion, a second end portion, and a center portion. The center portion has a groove width smaller than a groove width of the first end portion and a groove width of the second end portion.
