A tire includes a tread portion including a first tread edge, a second tread edge, a crown land portion arranged between the first tread edge and the second tread edge, and a first crown circumferential groove extending continuously in a tire circumferential direction adjacent to the crown land portion on a first tread edge side. The first crown circumferential groove includes a groove bottom having a plurality of protrusions projecting in a tire radial direction. The crown land portion is not provided with drainage grooves that have an opening width exceeding 2.0 mm at a ground contact surface of the crown land portion and a depth exceeding 2.0 mm of an area where a distance between two opposite groove walls thereof exceeds 2.0 mm. The crown land portion is provided with a plurality of sipes.
TIRE
A tire includes a tread portion including at least one circumferential groove extending continuously in a tire circumferential direction. The at least one circumferential groove includes a groove bottom having a plurality of protrusions projecting in a tire radial direction. Each of the plurality of protrusions has a longitudinally elongated shape with a width in a tire axial direction and a length in the tire circumferential direction that is greater than the width. Each of the plurality of protrusions includes a tapered portion whose width decreases in the tire circumferential direction.

A tire comprises a tread portion comprising a shoulder land region provided with shoulder lateral grooves and circumferential sipes connecting between the shoulder lateral grooves. The shoulder lateral grooves are each provided with a chamfer. The circumferential sipes are each spaced apart from an axially inner end of the shoulder land region by an axial distance of from 30% to 100% of an axial width of the shoulder land region. The depths of the circumferential sipes are equal to or greater than the groove depths of the shoulder lateral grooves.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire includes a shoulder land defined by a circumferential groove having a width of ≥3 mm on a tread and width-direction grooves in the shoulder land. The width-direction grooves include lug grooves having a width at a position at a center of the shoulder land in the width direction of ≥1.5 mm and a depth of ≥50% of a maximum depth of the width-direction grooves on a circumference. Blocks defined by the lug grooves have circumferential lengths varying at the position. A maximum-to-minimum ratio of circumferential lengths of the blocks is ≥1.2 and ≤1.8. The number of blocks on the circumference is N, the circumferential lengths of the blocks are sequentially P.sub.1, P.sub.2, . . . , P.sub.N, the circumferential length of any block is P.sub.i (i=1 to N), the number of blocks satisfying P.sub.i/min(P.sub.i−1, P.sub.i+1)≤0.95 is M.sub.1, the number of blocks satisfying 2P.sub.i/(P.sub.i−1+P.sub.i+1)≤0.95 is M.sub.2, an index R satisfies 0≤R=((M.sub.1.Math.M.sub.2).sup.1/2/N)≤0.2.
TIRE WITH SHALLOW GROOVE-BASED TREAD WEAR INDICATOR
A tire including a tread wear indicator is provided. The tire includes a pair of sidewalls, in which each sidewall extends from a respective bead area to a tread. The tread includes a plurality of main circumferential grooves, in which the main circumferential grooves are disposed in and proximate an axial center area of the tread. At least one shallow groove is formed in the tread, and each shallow groove includes a depth relative to the surface of the tread that is less than a depth of each of the main circumferential grooves. A primary tread wear indicator is disposed in at least one of the main circumferential grooves, and a secondary tread wear indicator is disposed in the shallow groove.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
Provided is a pneumatic tire. A chamfered portion and a non-chamfered portion are provided in each of an edge on a leading side and an edge on a trailing side of a sipe. In a meridian cross-sectional view, a profile line of a rib projects further to an outer side in a tire radial direction than a reference tread profile line. A radius of curvature TR of the reference tread profile line and a radius of curvature RR of the profile line satisfy a relationship of TR>RR. The chamfered portions on both the leading side and the trailing side are disposed so as to straddle a maximum projection position. A maximum projection amount D of the rib with respect to the reference tread profile line and a maximum width W of the chamfered portion satisfy a relationship of 0.05 mm.sup.2<W×D<1.50 mm.sup.2.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
Provided is a pneumatic tire capable of providing improved steering stability performance on dry road surfaces and improved steering stability performance on wet road surfaces in a compatible manner. A chamfered portion (12A, 12B) and a non-chamfered portion (13A, 13B) are provided in each of an edge (11A) on a leading side and an edge (11B) on a trailing side of a sipe (11). In a meridian cross-sectional view, a profile line (PL1) of a rib (10) projects further to an outer side in a tire radial direction than a reference tread profile line (PL0). A radius of curvature TR (mm) of the reference tread profile line (PL0) and a radius of curvature RR (mm) of the profile line (PL1) satisfy a relationship of TR>RR. Only one of the chamfered portions (12A, 12B) on the leading side and the trailing side is disposed so as to straddle a maximum projection position (P). A maximum projection amount D (mm) of the rib (10) with respect to the reference tread profile line (PL0) and a maximum width (W) (mm) of the chamfered portion (12A, 12B) satisfy a relationship of 0.05 mm.sup.2<W×D<1.50 mm.sup.2.
Tire Tread Comprising Complex Grooves and Incisions
A tire tread (1) having a tread pattern depth Hm, with at least two longitudinally oriented grooves (31, 41, 42), at least one of them being a complex groove (31), that in the new state, is alternately external cavities (311) that open onto the tread surface and internal cavities (312) that are hidden within the thickness of the tread. The external cavities (311) have a mean longitudinal length Lm, a depth at least equal to 0.9 Hm, and are separated by internal cavities having a mean longitudinal length Li, Li being at least equal to 0.5*Lm and at most equal to 2*Lm. At least one rib (21) in the longitudinal direction and delimited by a complex groove with transverse sipes (5) made at a mean spacing Pm. The spacing Pm of the transverse sipes is at most equal to the mean longitudinal length Lm of the external cavities (311).
Tire with shallow groove-based tread wear indicator
A tire including a tread wear indicator is provided. The tire includes a pair of sidewalls, in which each sidewall extends from a respective bead area to a tread. The tread includes a plurality of main circumferential grooves, in which the main circumferential grooves are disposed in and proximate an axial center area of the tread. At least one shallow groove is formed in the tread, and each shallow groove includes a depth relative to the surface of the tread that is less than a depth of each of the main circumferential grooves. A primary tread wear indicator is disposed in at least one of the main circumferential grooves, and a secondary tread wear indicator is disposed in the shallow groove.

A pneumatic tire includes a first main groove in a circumferential direction outward of an equatorial plane in a vehicle width direction, a second main groove in the circumferential direction at a position closer to the equatorial plane than the first main groove, a third main groove in the circumferential direction at a position inward of the equatorial plane in the vehicle width direction, and a fourth main groove in the circumferential direction at a position farther from the equatorial plane than the third main groove; relationships 1.05≤G1/G3≤1.25, 1.20≤G2/G3≤1.40, and 1.10≤G4/G3≤1.30 are satisfied; and relationships G3<G1<G2 and G3<G1<G4 are satisfied, where G1 is a first main groove width, G2 is a second main groove width, G3 is a third main groove width, and G4 is a fourth main groove width.
