Tire and tire set
A tyre includes a tread portion provided with blocks each protruding toward a ground contact surface thereof from a tread bottom surface, and axially spaced side portions each extending from the tread portion to a respective bead portion. The blocks include shoulder blocks spaced. The shoulder blocks each include an overhanging portion located axially outside the corresponding side portion. The overhanging portion includes a pair of first walls extending in substantially parallel with a tyre meridian cross-section. The shoulder blocks have shoulder block lengths which are lengths in the tyre circumferential direction measured between the pair of first walls along the ground contact surface, wherein the shoulder block lengths are shorter than gap lengths which are lengths in the tyre circumferential direction measured on the tread bottom surface between adjacent shoulder blocks.
Tyre
A tyre comprises a tread portion. The tread portion includes a shoulder main groove extending continuously in a zigzag manner in a tyre circumferential direction on a side of a tread edge, a plurality of middle lateral grooves each extending inwardly in a tyre axial direction from the shoulder main groove, and a plurality of middle blocks divided by the plurality of the middle lateral grooves. Each of the middle blocks has a ground contacting surface defined between a first edge and a second edge extending in the tyre circumferential direction. At least one of the middle blocks has a full sipe extending so as to connect between the first edge and the second edge and having at least one bent portion, and a semi-sipe extending linearly from the first edge or the second edge and terminating within the at least one of the middle blocks.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire is provided where a profile line in a tire meridian cross section of a center land portion defined by circumferential grooves and located on a tire equator is curved projecting outward in a tire radial direction. A carcass layer and a reinforcing layer include a recess portion curved projecting inward in the tire radial direction in a bottom region of the center land portion.
Pneumatic tire
A tire has a lug, a plurality of first recessed regions that extend from a first major groove, and a plurality of second recessed regions that extend from a second major groove. A central region of the lug protrudes relative to either end of the lug. The plurality of first and second recessed regions are arranged in alternating fashion along a tire circumferential direction. The respective recessed regions each has a planar base that extends in a width direction of the each recessed region. The planar base is horizontal, or is inclined in such fashion that a height thereof increases so as to extend further toward an exterior in a tire radial direction as one proceeds toward a center of the each recessed region. Width of the planar base increases as one proceeds from the center in the width direction of the lug to an end of the lug.
TIRE WITH UNIQUE HYBRID TERRAIN TREAD
A tire including a plurality of block patterns, wherein the plurality of block patterns may repeat around a circumference of the tire. The tire may further include a three dimensional chambered groove in the plurality of block patterns. The tire may further include a plurality of independent pattern blocks.
Tire with offset beveled knobs
A tire includes knob sets having leading edge bevels connected by a ramp. The leading edge bevels may be offset in their positions or angles. Each knob set includes a first knob attached to a second knob. The knobs in each set may differ in lengths or in the angles of the leading edge bevels. Each knob set shares a common base and includes a pair of elongate outermost surfaces divided by an optional axial channel. Each knob set includes a lateral edge, medial edge and a trailing edge. Transverse rows of two or more knob sets may vary in lateral spacing between knob sets to provide narrow and wide rows in an alternating pattern. Knob sets may also be included on sidewalls of the tire.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
In a pneumatic tire, a tread average thickness A in a tire width direction region of a center land portion where a center cover layer is disposed, a tread average thickness B in a tire width direction region of the center land portion where the center cover layer is not disposed, and a tread average thickness C in tire width direction regions where second land portions located further on an outer side than the center land portion in a tire width direction and adjacent to the center land portion are defined and formed satisfy a relationship A<B<C.
TIRE MOLD, PRODUCTION METHOD FOR TIRE, AND TIRE
A mold includes a tread-forming surface to shape a tread surface. The tread-forming surface can include projections to form circumferential grooves, and land surface-forming portions to form land surfaces. Among the three land surface-forming portions aligned in an axial direction with the projections interposed therebetween, the land surface-forming portion located between the two projections can be a curved land surface-forming portion. A contour of the curved land surface-forming portion can be represented by one or more circular arcs. A boundary between a reference side surface of each projection and the curved land surface-forming portion can be a reference boundary point, and the reference boundary point can be located inward of a reference forming surface of the tread-forming surface.
Run-Flat Tire
A run-flat tire includes a belt reinforcing layer outward of a belt layer in a tire radial direction and reinforcing rubber in sidewall portions. Where a center region is a region of a tread portion in which a center land portion corresponding to a land portion included in land portions in a tread portion and located closest to a tire equatorial plane is positioned, the belt reinforcing layer includes a center reinforcing portion in which more pieces of the belt reinforcing layer are layered at a position of the center region than at positions other than the position of the center region, and in the belt reinforcing layer, a width Wc of the center reinforcing portion in a tire lateral direction with respect to a thickness Gr of the side reinforcing rubber at a tire maximum width position is within a range of 0.5 Gr≤Wc≤2.0 Gr.
Pneumatic tire
In a pneumatic tire which is formed with plural shallow grooves 40 and plural recesses 32 in a tread and in which the plural shallow grooves 40 extend in parallel, the plural shallow grooves 40 form a saw teeth shape as a cross-sectional shape of the tread in a direction orthogonal to an extending direction of the shallow grooves 40, portions corresponding to apexes of the saw teeth shape are formed as edges 44, and the recess 32 is formed between the two edges 44.
