Pneumatic Tire

Of layers configuring a bead core of a pneumatic tire, the width W0 of one of the layers including the greatest number of rows, the width W1, W2 of other of the layers located respectively innermost and outermost in the radial direction satisfy W1>W2 and W20.5W0. The position of width W0 is inward in the radial direction of the center of the bead core. A carcass is folded and curved along the bead core and extends toward sidewalls where a folded back portion of the carcass contacts a body of the carcass. A rubber occupancy ratio in a closed region formed by the body and the folded back portion is 0.1% to 15%. The cross-sectional area S2 and hardness H2 of a filler outward of the carcass in the lateral direction, and the cross-sectional area S1 and the hardness H1 of the side reinforcing layer satisfy 0.12(S2H2)/(S1H1)0.50.

In the tire 2, fillers 10 are layered over clinches 8 in portions outward of a carcass 14 in the axial direction. A carcass ply 50 is turned up around cores 44. Turned-up portions 50a are disposed between the fillers 10 and apexes 46. Each clinch 8 has a maximum thickness Tcx that is measured along a line normal to an inner surface, in the axial direction, of the clinch 8. A ratio of a thickness Tf1 of the filler 10 to a sum of the thickness Tf1 and the thickness Tcx is greater than or equal to 0.1 and not greater than 0.6. A percentage of a complex elastic modulus E*f of the filler 10 relative to a complex elastic modulus E*a of the apex 46 is greater than or equal to 70% and not greater than 125%.

A pneumatic tire has a carcass layer, a side wall rubber which forms an outer surface of a side wall portion, and a rim strip rubber which forms an outer surface of a bead portion. The rim strip rubber extends in a tire radial direction between the carcass layer and the side wall rubber. A height of the rim strip rubber on the basis of an outer diameter position of a bead core buries in the bead portion is equal to or more than 70% of a height of a tire outer diameter position. A thickness Tw of the rim strip rubber at the tire maximum width position is smaller than the maximum thickness Tm of the rim strip rubber which is closer to an outer side in the tire radial direction than the tire maximum width position.

A tire comprises a carcass ply extending between bead portions through a tread portion and sidewall portions, and turned up around a bead core in each of the bead portions from the inside to the outside in the tire axial direction so as to form a pair of turnup portions and a main portion therebetween. Each of the bead portions is provided with: a rubber bead apex disposed between the turnup portion and the main portion, and extending radially outwardly from the bead core in a tapered manner; a bead reinforcing rubber layer disposed axially outside the main portion; and an insulation rubber layer disposed between the main portion and the bead reinforcing rubber layer and having a hardness smaller than a hardness of the bead reinforcing rubber layer.

A tire 32 includes: a pair of beads 40; a carcass ply 82 having a ply main body 84 and turned-up portions 86; and a pair of fillers 52 that are located outward of the turned-up portions 86 in the axial direction and that include metal cords. In a radial direction, a first end 92 of each filler 52 is located inward of a bead base line, and a second end 94 of each filler 52 is located between an end 88 of the turned-up portion 86 and the bead base line. A recess 96 is provided on a zone of each side surface 34 of the tire 32 between a maximum width position and the end 88 of the turned-up portion 86.
