LIGHTWEIGHT TIRE
A tire has an axis of rotation. The tire includes two inextensible annular bead structures for attachment to a vehicle rim, a carcass-like structure having at least one reinforced ply, the carcass-like structure being wound about the two bead structures, a tread disposed radially outward of the carcass-like structure, and a shear band structure disposed radially between the carcass-like structure and the tread. The two bead structures include at least one layer of a three dimensional fabric including a tear drop frame structure and open cells defined by the tear drop frame structure.
LIGHTWEIGHT TIRE
A tire has an axis of rotation. The tire includes two inextensible annular bead structures for attachment to a vehicle rim, a carcass-like structure having at least one reinforced ply, the carcass-like structure being wound about the two bead structures, a tread disposed radially outward of the carcass-like structure, and a shear band structure disposed radially between the carcass-like structure and the tread. The two bead structures include at least one layer of a lightweight foam material.
Tire Having Greater Resistance To Unseating
Resistance to unseating of a passenger is achieved by a tire comprising a bead having an axial width at the seat D comprising a circumferential reinforcing element (22) of which the radially innermost point (222) is at a radial distance Z and at an axial distance Y from the radially innermost point (211) of the bead, and such that Y/D is at least equal to 0.5 and Z/D is at most equal to 0.4. The end of the carcass reinforcement (311) is situated radially on the outside of the radially outermost point (223) of the circumferential reinforcing element. This same bead comprises at least one bead layer (23) surrounding the bead filler rubber (21) and such that its axially outermost end (231) is radially on the outside of the end (311) and such that its axially innermost end (232) is at least radially on the outside of the point (222).
TIRE COMPRISING A CARCASS REINFORCEMENT MADE UP OF TWO LAYERS
Each of at least two layers of a carcass reinforcement has a breaking force per unit width higher than 2250 daN/dm. The minimum strength per unit width, measured for an elongation of less than 10%, of a second layer of carcass reinforcement is strictly greater than a value equal to 20% of the minimum strength per unit width, measured for an elongation of less than 10%, of a first layer of carcass reinforcement. The reinforcing elements of the two layers of carcass reinforcement have a thread count of less than 750 tex. The elongation of the reinforcing elements of the second layer of carcass reinforcement is greater than 4% under a force of 20 daN, and the secant elastic modulus values under tension at 10% elongation, Mt, Mj, satisfy the relationship Mt/Mj≧1.
Pneumatic tire
In a pneumatic tire on a rim with 5° taper, a bead core includes a bead core bottom inclined 0° to 5° with respect to a rotation axis in a direction in which the bead core bottom extends outward in a radial direction from an inner side toward an outer side in the lateral direction, a bead portion includes a bead base portion inclined 8° to 12° with respect to the rotation axis in a direction in which the bead base portion extends outward in the radial direction from the inner side toward the outer side in the lateral direction. A bead width BW is a distance between tire inner and outer surfaces on a straight line through a bead core center in the meridian cross-section and parallel to the bead base portion. The bead core has a maximum width CW within a range of (BW×0.54)≤CW≤(BW×0.58).
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire comprises: a tread portion; a pair of sidewall portions; a pair of bead portions each with a bead core embedded therein; a toroidal carcass extending between the bead portions; and a sidewall rubber disposed axially outside the carcass in each of the sidewall portions. The bead portion has a bead bottom surface which contacts with a bead seat of a wheel rim when the tire is mounted thereon. The bead bottom surface comprises an axially inner region including a bead toe and an axially outer region including a bead heel. The axially inner region is formed by a canvas chafer. The axially outer region is formed by the sidewall rubber extended radially inwardly from the sidewall portion.
Pneumatic tire
The pneumatic tire includes: a pair of bead portions; a pair of sidewall portions; a tread portion; a carcass; a reinforcing rubber layer, a tire widthwise cross-section of the reinforcing rubber layer having a substantially crescent shape; an inclined belt including at least one inclined belt layer formed by a plurality of cords extending at an inclination to a tire circumferential direction and covered with rubber; and an inner liner provided on an inner peripheral surface of a tire body in at least the tread portion. In a tire widthwise cross-sectional view, an edge of the inner liner is positioned farther outward in the tire radial direction than a tire maximum width position of the pneumatic tire and farther inward in the tire radial direction than a perpendicular from a tire widthwise edge of the inclined belt to the inner peripheral surface of the tire body.
Tire for heavy loads
To improve durability performance and rolling resistance performance in a well-balanced manner. It is a tire for heavy loads including a carcass ply (6A). A sidewall rubber (3G) includes an inside rubber part (15) on the carcass (6) side, and an outside rubber part (16) disposed on the outside thereof and forming a tire outer surface. The inside rubber part (15) has a loss tangent tan δ1 less than the outside rubber part (16), and their difference is 0.010 to 0.035. The inside rubber part (15) has a complex elastic modulus less than the outside rubber part (16), their difference is 0.5 to 1.4 (MPa). The outer end (15s) in the tire radial direction of the inside rubber part (15) contacts with the outer surface (2h) in the tire axial direction of the tread rubber (2G), and the inner end (15u) in the tire radial direction is disposed radially inside the outer end (6e) in the tire radial direction of the turned up portion (6b) of the carcass ply (6A).
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire mountable on a 15° tapered specified rim includes a bead core, a carcass, a steel cord reinforcing layer, a bead rubber layer, and a first reinforcing rubber layer. A distance from a second line segment to a third line segment is from 4 mm to 12 mm, a complex modulus of the first reinforcing rubber layer is from 6 MPa to 10 MPa, an elongation at break of the first reinforcing rubber layer is from 300% to 450%, a complex modulus of the second reinforcing rubber layer is from 10 MPa to 15 MPa, and a complex modulus of a shock absorbing rubber layer is from 2 MPa to 6 MPa.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
In a pneumatic tire, a bead filler is on an outer circumference of a bead core, a carcass turned up end is inward of an outer diameter side end of the bead filler, the carcass end is spaced from a carcass body, a steel reinforcement is in each bead, a sidewall rubber extends from the sidewall to the bead, and a support layer is between the bead filler and the sidewall rubber to cover the carcass end and an end of the steel reinforcement, the support layer extending toward an outer diameter side and contacting the carcass body on an outer diameter side of the bead filler outer diameter side end, and a 100% modulus of the support layer is at least 1.5 times that of the bead filler, and the sidewall rubber, the bead filler and the sidewall rubber being adjacent to the support layer.
