MULTIPLE LAYER FOAM INSERT FOR TIRES
A multi-layer or multi-section foam insert replacement for a pneumatic inner tube emulates the effect of air pressure, across a wide range of temperatures and pressures, while maintaining the weight of a conventional air-filled pneumatic tube. Through the use of different density materials and/or the orientation and thickness of such materials, desirable handling properties are achieved. The multi-layer/multi-section foam insert can be produced by steam molding or extrusion of foam materials.
AN IMPROVED FILLING ELEMENT FOR TIRES OF OFF-ROAD MOTOR VEHICLES
Filling element (mousse) for tires of off-road motor vehicles. The filling element is provided with circular grooves. It is made of expanded polymeric material for longlife even under extreme conditions of external temperature, speed of the vehicle and hardness of the ground. It provides improved driving performances in terms of stability and adherence of the tire to the ground even on rough grounds of great hardness.
INSERT FOR A PNEUMATIC TIRE
An insert for a pneumatic tire including an annular member adapted to contact at least 10% of an interior surface of the pneumatic tire and provide an outward pressure thereagainst.
FLAT RESISTANT VEHICULAR TIRE
An insert specifically adapted for use with an off-road tire, such as an off-road tire of a motocross motorcycle, or an off-road bicycle. The insert includes an inflatable tube and a foam element which generally conforms to the contours of the off-road tire to provide support to the tire when the tube is inflated. The ability to deflate the insert facilitates installation of the insert between the wheel rim and off-road tire. When inflated, the insert occupies the space between the wheel rim and tire to support a load during use of the wheel.
TUBELESS TIRE INSERT
A system and method for a tubeless tire insert. The present invention includes an annular body having shock absorbing characteristics. A positioning system configured to vary a mean inner diameter of the insert is also included. The insert has a mean inner diameter X when the tire is being installed on the rim, and the insert has a mean inner diameter Y when the tire is installed on the rim, where X is greater than Y.
