Described herein are systems and methods for monitoring an animal comprising: an electronic device configured to be implanted within an animal, the electronic device comprising: one or more sensors comprising at least one of an accelerometer, a gyroscope, or a magnetometer, the one or more sensors configured to determine location or movement information relating to the animal; a memory device configured to store the location or movement information relating to the animal; a communication interface configured to wirelessly communicate the location or movement information to an external device; and a battery device for providing power to at least one of the one or more sensors or the communication interface.

An electronic training collar and base system using at least one electronic training collar in combination with at least one base to prevent the pet from entering the area around the base. The electronic training collar has a housing with a receiver, a shocking component, an audio alarm component, and a vibrating signal component. The audio alarm component is adapted to emit a tone when activated, the vibrating signal component is adapted to emit a vibration when activated, and the shocking component is adapted to emit a shock when activated. A base has a transmitter that emits a signal which is received by the receiver of the electronic training collar when a pet wearing the electronic training collar is within a range of the base effectively activating either the shocking component, the audio alarm component, the vibrating signal component or a combination of the components. The base may be shaped as a mat which is durable and hand washable. A beacon scanner and beacon transmitter could be used in place of the receiver and transmitter respectively.

The wearable device may also receive signaling, which may be indicative of commands to or feedback for the animal wearing the wearable device. The data acquired from the wireless device may be used for monitoring and communicating with an animal by, for example, generating reports, developing training or feeding schedules, or conveying relevant information to animal owners. Likewise, signaling sent to the device may facilitate interaction between an animal and the animal's owner, between the animal and its surroundings, or between multiple animals.

There is a positioning unit for generating position data, including satellite positioning data, for the device. There is a processor unit configured to, while in a perimeter learn mode, establish the containment perimeter by receiving at least two segment waypoints from the position data for each of the plurality of segments, determine from the segment waypoints a containment perimeter waypoint for each of the segments and connect the containment perimeter waypoints to establish the containment perimeter. While in a contain mode, the processor determines from the position data if the subject is inside or outside of the containment zone.

In some implementations, a monitoring system monitors a property includes sensors located throughout the property and generates sensor data. A monitor control unit receives a first indication that a resident of the property will be receiving a delivery during a delivery time. Based on the sensor data and during the delivery time, the monitor control unit determines that a pet, that resides at the property, has been restrained. The monitor control unit provides, to a delivery person, a second indication that the pet at the property has been restrained.

A dog train & track system for tracking a pet using a GPS. The system is housed inside a collar made of waterproof material to house all of the components necessary to use and power the system. The software accompanying the collar permits the owner to set boundaries and send a notification to the owner through the software on a computer or smart device in the event the pet leaves the boundary. Furthermore, the system notifies the owner and others in cases were the pet may become distressed. The system may also communicate with a pet door allowing entry into the owner's home using proximity detection within the collar.

Modular tracking device

Techniques and examples pertaining to a tracking method using a two-component tracking device are described. The tracking device includes two components paired with one another: a first component that is specific to a subject the tracking device is intended to track, and a second component that is generic. The second component is capable of establishing a wireless connection with a cellular network, as well as collecting location information of the second component itself. The tracking method involves receiving from the cellular network a set of requirements associated with the subject, and triggering an action based on the set of requirements and the location information collected. The tracking method enables tracking of multiple subjects without a pairing mistake. Namely, a mismatch between multiple subjects to be tracked and multiple tracking devices intended to track the subjects can be avoided.

A cuff is attached to a tether at the end of the rod in a non-deployed position. The tether can be released so a law enforcement officer can loosely control a detainee. Electrical circuitry in the body is connected to electrodes on the lower end of the handle and on the cuff so a disabling charge can be delivered. The device is also useful to civilians as a protective device when jogging, walking, bicycling or the like.
