An aligning hitch device prevents a pin from being lifted inadvertently resulting in undesired disengagement of the hitch connection. The device includes a hitch frame including a guide plate. A hitch pin is slidably coupled to the hitch frame. An index collar has a notch. The hitch pin is slidable to fully clear a hitch space in the hitch frame only when the notch is aligned with and receives the guide plate. A biasing spring extends between the index collar and the hitch frame wherein the biasing spring urges the index collar away from the guide plate.

A safety chain system that includes a drawbar hanger. The drawbar hanger includes a drawbar frame that defines a first aperture. A drawbar rests within the first aperture. A safety chain anchor also rests within the first aperture. The safety chain anchor defines a second aperture. The second aperture receives a safety chain. The safety chain anchor is able to slide in and out of the first aperture.

A vehicle attachable cargo rack assembly for transporting firewood includes a frame comprising a base that is rectangularly shaped. A pair of end rails is coupled singly to and extends from opposing end members of the base. A front rail is coupled to a front member of the base and extends between the pair of end rails so that the frame is configured to stack pieces of wood. A hitch attachment that is coupled to the front rail is three point type and thus configured to couple to a three point hitch that is coupled to a first type of vehicle, positioning a user to lift and transport the frame. A shank that is coupled to the base and extends from the front member is configured to couple to a hitch receiver that is coupled to a second type vehicle, positioning the user to transport the frame.

A pin assist device that eliminates the need to use a separate tool to insert and/or extract a cotter, or other fastening, pin. The pin assist device allows the user to easily insert or extract a pin in locations that are difficult to reach, in all types of weather and virtually all conditions. Related pin assist devices, hitch pins, and hitch pin assemblies are also disclosed.

A hitching apparatus includes a towing vehicle-side hitch component, a towed vehicle-side hitch component, a towing vehicle-side insertion connector component having at least one insertion connector configuration as an interface of a towing vehicle-side supply lead for transferring energy and/or information, a towed vehicle-side insertion connector component having at least one insertion connector configuration as an interface of a towed vehicle-side supply lead for transferring energy and/or information, a towing vehicle-side alignment component separate from the towing vehicle-side hitch component and arranged thereon, which carries the towing vehicle-side insertion connector component, and a towed vehicle-side alignment component separate from the towed vehicle-side hitch component and arranged thereon, which carries the towed vehicle-side insertion connector component. One alignment component includes an alignment configuration and is movable relative to the hitch component carrying it. One insertion connector component is displaceable relative to the alignment component carrying it.

A pin assist device that eliminates the need to use a separate tool to insert and/or extract a cotter, or other fastening, pin. The pin assist device allows the user to easily insert or extract a pin in locations that are difficult to reach, in all types of weather and virtually all conditions. A gooseneck ball extender is designed to mate with a center socket and receivers mounted to a towing vehicle and provide a gooseneck ball that is offset from the center socket. The extender has a cylindrical shaft with captured balls that can be moved between a retracted position and an extended position through a spring-loaded locking shaft that moves between an unlocked and locked position. The locking shaft is biased towards the locked position where the captured balls are extended. The extender has an outrigger portion that has puck locks. The puck locks are rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position. As attached to the towing vehicle, the outrigger portion provides additional support to the gooseneck ball.

In accordance with one series of embodiments of the current disclosure, there is provided a tractor hitch system for hitching a tractor to a trailing implement. The tractor hitch system comprises a base, an actuator, a pin and a lever arm. The base is configured to be mountable on a drawbar of the tractor. The actuator is movable between a first position and a second position. The lever arm is attached to the base, connected to the actuator, and attached to the pin. The attachment of the lever arm to the pin allows the pin to pivot and move laterally with respect to the lever arm such that, when the actuator is in the first position, the pin engages the drawbar so as to be able to couple the tractor to the trailing implement, and when the actuator is in the second position, the pin is disengaged from the drawbar so that the tractor is not coupled to the trailing implement.

A vehicle attachable cargo rack assembly for transporting firewood includes a frame comprising a base that is rectangularly shaped. A hitch pin for quick and easy release of a hitch assembly. The hitch pin has a shaft with added hole for connection to a removable lock cap by a coupler pin. The quick releasing hitch pin device may be used to secure a hitch and hitch receiver. In addition, the combination of a removable lock cap allows the hitch pin to gravity release thereby freeing the operator to operate the vehicle with hitch in order to release a bound-up hitch pin from the hitch receiver on the draft implement. This method makes for a less cumbersome and safer release of a hitch pin in varied situations, such as when an implement is on fire risking life, limb and property.
