Mechanical connecting link for tow straps and pintle hitches
A mechanical connecting link for tow straps and pintle hitches configured to quickly and easily disassemble even during complex pulling scenarios. The mechanical connecting link also is configured to retain its structural integrity even during heavy loads. The mechanical connecting link has at least two modular wide body connector components on which looped tow straps may engage. The modular wide body connector component configured to keep the bend radius of any engaged tow strap large enough to prevent abrasion and to resist damage to the tow strap loop during pulling scenarios.
PIN-DROP HITCH MOUNT ASSEMBLY WITH BIASED PIN RETAINER MECHANISM
A hitch mount assembly includes a drawbar receiver configured to receive a drawbar and a pin receiver that is supported by the drawbar receiver. Furthermore, the assembly includes a pin that is received within the pin receiver and a latch that is supported for movement between a first position and a second position. The latch, in the first position, is configured to engage the pin and retain the pin in a retracted position. The latch, in the second position, is configured to disengage and release the pin for movement of the pin from the retracted position to an extended position. Moreover, the assembly includes a biasing member configured to bias the latch toward the first position to retain the pin in the retracted position.
PIN-DROP HITCH MOUNT ASSEMBLY WITH BIASED PIN RETAINER MECHANISM
A pin-drop hitch mount assembly includes a drawbar receiver that defines a drawbar cavity and a pin opening that is open to the drawbar cavity. The assembly also includes a pin that is supported for movement within the pin opening between first and second unhitched positions and a hitched position. The hitch mount assembly further includes a latch that is supported for movement relative to the drawbar receiver between a first position, an intermediate position, and a second position. The latch, in the first position, engages and supports the pin in the first unhitched position. The latch, in the second position, disengages the pin for movement toward the hitched position. The hitch mount assembly includes a biasing member that biases the latch from the intermediate position toward the first position to return the pin to the first unhitched position as the drawbar moves out of the drawbar cavity.
PIN-DROP HITCH MOUNT ASSEMBLY WITH BIASED PIN RETAINER MECHANISM
A hitch mount assembly includes a drawbar receiver with a drawbar cavity and a pin opening and a pin removably received within the pin opening. A latch that is supported for movement between a first position and a second position. The latch, in the first position, is configured to engage the pin and retain the pin in a retracted position. The latch, in the second position, is configured to disengage the pin and release the pin for movement of the pin from the retracted position to the extended position. Furthermore, the hitch mount assembly includes a biasing member that biases the latch toward the first position and a pin rest configured to support the pin when the latch is in the second position. The pin rest is configured to release the pin as the latch biases from the second position to the first position and engages the pin.
PIN-DROP HITCH MOUNT ASSEMBLY WITH ALIGNMENT FEATURES FOR ALIGNING DRAWBAR AND DRAWBAR RECEIVER
A hitch mount assembly includes features configured to facilitate hitching of a drawbar receiver to a drawbar. The hitch mount assembly includes an alignment member supported for movement relative to the drawbar receiver. The alignment member is configured to abut the drawbar and consequently move the drawbar receiver relative to the drawbar to substantially align the pin opening of the receiver with the pin hole of the drawbar. The hitch mount assembly also includes a view window in the drawbar receiver for viewing movement of the drawbar within the drawbar cavity.
Vertical hitch pin
A vertical hitch pin for connecting a tongue to the hitch on a vehicle. The hitch pin has an elongate opening for receiving a pivoting bar. The bar rotates clockwise from a center position where the bar fits substantially inside the hitch pin during insertion of the pin through aligned openings in the trailer tongue and the hitch to a first laterally extending position where the bar is rotated under the force of gravity until a portion of the bar engages with a first portion of a surface of the body bordering the elongate opening. The bar may also be capable of rotating counterclockwise from the center position to a second laterally extending position where the bar is rotated under the force of gravity until a portion of the bar engages with a second portion of the surface of the body bordering the elongate opening.
Clevis and drawbar system
A clevis and drawbar system for coupling an implement to a tractor includes a tractor that has a drawbar. A clevis is selectively positioned on the drawbar. The clevis engages a tow bar on an implement thereby facilitating the tractor to tow the implement. A pin is selectively extended through the clevis and the drawbar. The pin engages the implement thereby facilitating the implement to be coupled to the tractor.
Drawbar pin ejector
A drawbar assembly for coupling a drawbar to a tongue of a towed implement includes a drawbar pin and a drawbar clevis having a bore configured to receive the drawbar pin. A locking plate is coupled to the drawbar clevis and movable between a pin-lock condition in which the locking plate is configured to obstruct at least a portion of the bore, and a pin-unlock condition. An ejector mechanism is configured to dislodge the drawbar pin from the bore. The ejector mechanism includes a handle utilized to operate the ejector mechanism and an ejector arm pivotably disposed in an ejector recess in the clevis. The ejector arm is movable from a home position in which the ejector arm does not interfere with the drawbar pin to an eject position in which the ejector arm forces the drawbar pin to be at least partially dislodged out of the bore.
Captive pin apparatus for retention of a drawbar in a trailer hitch receiver
At a given insertion depth (D) of a drawbar (22, 60) in a trailer hitch receiver tube (24, 68), a pin arm (26, 56, 74) attached to the drawbar extends forward beside the receiver tube and holds a captive pin (21, 51, 76) beside a pin receiving hole (30, 71) in the receiver tube. A spring (36) urges the captive pin into the pin receiving hole to retain the drawbar in the receiver tube. The pin arm may be attached to the drawbar via a crossbar (40, 70, 73). Receiver tubes of different sizes (24, 68) may be accommodated by a drawbar size adapter (62) that slips over the drawbar, enlarging it, and by a vertical adjustment mechanism (83) for the pin arm (74) that aligns the pin with the pin receiving hole in either a smaller (24) receiver tube or a larger (68) receiver tube.
HITCH MODULE
A hitch module adapted to be coupled to a frame of a work machine or towed assembly. The hitch module includes a carrier assembly having a first plate and a second plate coupled to one another. The first and second plates are spaced from one another by a first distance, where both plates define a pivot axis. A guide assembly defines a longitudinal axis and is pivotally coupled to the carrier assembly about the pivot axis. The guide assembly has a first guide plate and a second guide plate coupled to and spaced by a second distance from one another. A hitch assembly is disposed at least partially between the first and second plate of the carrier assembly and the first and the second guide plate. The hitch link assembly is pivotal about the pivot axis and movable along the longitudinal axis.
