A stake consists of two planar panels joined on a longitudinal axis and angularly disposed with respect to one another. Lower portions of the panels converge to a tip on the axis, and an axial tang is formed at the top of the stake. An inwardly directed flange is formed near the top of each panel, the flanges being disposed substantially in a common plane, generally perpendicular to the panels. The flanges and the tang facilitate driving of the stake into a substrate by use of a power hammer, and the driven stake resists both upward and lateral displacement. It is especially adapted for the securement of edging for restraining paving and landscaping materials.

A height-adjustable plant support structure is a device used for providing structural support for a growing plant. The device includes a primary stabilizing tubular member and a plurality of primary extendable tubular members that is able to telescopically extend from and retract into the primary stabilizing tubular member. A plurality of accessory-mounting holes laterally traverses into the plurality of primary extendable tubular members and may accommodate hooks, ties, strings, and other accessories for supporting the growth of a plant. A flexible water-distribution conduit is positioned within the plurality of primary extendable tubular members, allowing water to be delivered directly to a plant's roots. The device height may be adjusted manually or automatically via a pneumatic telescopic cylinder. At least one flexible trellis member is utilized to support growing plants such as shrubs, grapevine, ivy, and climbing roses.

The first clip portion and the second clip portion may be configured to provide an open position and a closed position. The closed position may be defined by the tab being disposed through the tab receiver and may provide a first holding position, a second holding position, and a third holding position, to support and allow plants to grow freely.

The spikes each have openings for delivering water. The device has an on/off switch, which may be manually operated or electronically operated. The device is configured to optionally allow the flow of another substance into the stem of the rake, such as plant food.

In preferred embodiments, multiple vertical support structures and degradable composites can be assembled in a set to supply a larger area of structural support and greater capacity to deliver beneficial supplements.
