REAR SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY FOR AN OFF-ROAD VEHICLE
A vehicle has a frame, driver and passenger seats, two front and two rear suspension assemblies, two front and two rear wheels, and a motor operatively connected to at least two of the wheels. Each rear suspension assembly has a trailing arm having a front end pivotally connected to the frame, a knuckle pivotally connected to a rear portion of the trailing arm, a link having a laterally outward end pivotally connected to the trailing arm and the knuckle and a laterally inward end pivotally connected to the frame, and a fastener fastening the laterally outward end of the link, the knuckle and the trailing arm together.
SUSPENSION STRUCTURE OF UTILITY VEHICLE
A suspension structure of a utility vehicle includes a frame, a wheel, and a trailing arm including an arm extending anteroposteriorly and supported by the frame, a knuckle rotatably supporting the wheel, and a rotary shaft configured to angularly displace the knuckle in a vehicle width direction with respect to the arm.
Rear Swing Arm Suspension
A swing arm type suspension for a rear wheel of an off road vehicle can use two or three tie rods to control toe-in of the knuckle. The rear end of the swing arm is split between an upper clamping arm and a lower clamping arm defining an eye, with the knuckle connected to the upper and lower clamping arms by joint bearings, and with either the transmission shaft or one of the tie rods extending through the eye of the swing arm to the knuckle. The front of the swing arm can be connected to the vehicle frame using a cross-shaft joint. Camber, toe-in and half-track width are controlled to result in a smaller turning radius with better ride characteristics.
Rear suspension assembly for an off-road vehicle
A vehicle has a frame, driver and passenger seats, two front and two rear suspension assemblies, two front and two rear wheels, and a motor operatively connected to the at least two wheels. Each rear suspension assembly has a trailing arm having a front end pivotally connected to the frame; a knuckle pivotally connected to a rear portion of the trailing arm; a lower link having a laterally outward end pivotally connected to the trailing arm and a laterally inward end pivotally connected to the frame; an upper link having a laterally outward end pivotally connected to the trailing arm and a laterally inward end pivotally connected to the frame; and a toe link having a laterally outward end pivotally connected to the knuckle and a laterally inward end pivotally connected to the frame.
Side-by-side vehicle
A vehicle may include a CVT unit or a power source which requires ambient air. An air inlet for an air intake system coupled to the CVT unit or the power source which requires ambient air may be provided in a side of a cargo carrying portion of the vehicle. The vehicle may include a rear radius arm suspension.
REAR SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A utility vehicle includes a rear suspension assembly which has a trailing arm generally extending longitudinally. Also, the rear suspension assembly includes an upper radius rod extending in a generally lateral direction relative to a centerline of the vehicle. Additionally, the rear suspension assembly includes a lower radius rod extending in a generally lateral direction relative to the centerline of the vehicle. The rear suspension assembly further includes a suspension member configured to control toe of the at least one rear ground-engaging member.
PIVOT BEARING
A pivot bearing, especially for a double wishbone axle for steerable wheels, especially front wheels, of a motor vehicle, in one embodiment is made as a one-piece cast part with a seat or recess for accommodation of a wheel bearing and seats or recesses for fastening of the same on the pivot bearing, two seats or recesses for linking of a brake caliper which are disposed substantially vertically with distance from one another, a seat or recess for linking of a track rod, a seat or recess for linking of a lower wishbone, a seat or recess for linking of a connecting rod, which substantially absorbs the longitudinal forces of the wheel, and a seat or recess for linking of an upper wishbone which is connected with the seat or recess for accommodation of the wheel bearing via a neck-like portion starting from same.
CARRIER FOR SUSPENSION SYSTEM OF VEHICLES
A carrier for suspension system of vehicles may include wheel bearing mounting part configured to have center provided with through hole, outside circumferential surface of the through hole being provided with at least one fastening hole; upper arm mounting part configured to be formed at upper portion of the wheel bearing mounting part and fastened with upper arm; lower arm mounting part configured to be integrally formed at one side toward rear of the vehicle from lower portion of the wheel bearing mounting part; reinforcing part configured to be extended from the wheel bearing mounting part to front of the vehicle; trailing arm mounting part configured to be integrally connected to the reinforcing part and fastened with trailing arm; and assist arm mounting part configured be integrally formed at lower portion of the flat extending end and fastened with assist arm.
SIDE-BY-SIDE VEHICLE
The present invention relates to all terrain vehicles having at least a pair of laterally spaced apart seating surfaces.
