Agricultural tool
An agricultural tool includes a motor, a magazine to house one or more clips, and a sliding arm to be moved by the motor between a retracted position and a deployed position. The sliding arm moves between the retracted position and the deployed position to attach a clip, from among the one or more clips, to the agricultural item of interest and the support structure to fasten or attach the agricultural item of interest to the support structure.
PLANT MANIPULATOR
An embodiment of a plant manipulator is disclosed, which may have a flexible cylindrical member that is bent to hold a plant in a particular configuration to train the plant. The plant manipulator may include a first end and a second end, a long edge of the flexible cylindrical member, a length of the long edge of the flexible cylindrical member, and a slit along the length of the longest edge of the flexible cylindrical member. The plant manipulator may also have a malleable rigid member with a first and second end, a long edge of the flexible cylindrical member, and a length of the long edge of the malleable rigid member. The length of the long edge of the flexible cylindrical member may be coupled along the length of the long edge of the flexible cylindrical member.
PLANT SUPPORT COLLAR
A plant support collar for supporting plant stems includes a central frame. The collar further includes a first hook member and a second hook member extending from the central frame in different directions. The first hook member and the second hook member each have a free end, the free end together with the central frame defining a passage for accommodating plant stems in the respective hook member. The central frame includes a support area configured to abut an intersection of the stems.
Plant Transportation Assembly
A plant transportation assembly for inhibiting a plant from being damaged when the plant is transported includes a support that may be positioned in a plant pot thereby facilitating the support to extend upwardly from the plant pot. A plurality of restraints is provided and each of the restraints is removably coupled to the support. Each of the restraints is removably attached to a plant in the plant pot thereby facilitating the support to retain the plant in an upright orientation in the plant pot when the plant pot is being transported.
Plant Strap
In the field of horticulture plants can be exposed to winds or other damaging sideways forces. To supportively protect them it is known to tether a plant to a stake or the like. It is an object of a preferred form of the invention to go at least some way towards providing a convenient way of achieving this. Preferably this is achieved by a strap for connecting a plant to an elongate plant support, such as a stake. The strap has a pair of lobes each having a stake receiving aperture and central slits. A leading end of the strap has serrated edges. The strap is such that it can be bent back on itself so the stake receiving apertures align for receiving and gripping the stake, and so that the serrated edges engage one of the slits to form and maintain a plant holding loop.
HELICAL COIL FASTENER AND METHOD
A helical coil fastener and method for fastening objects is disclosed. The fastener comprises a stump and a rooting lashing. The rooting lashing comprises a first end and second end, defined by a plurality of helical coils. The first end of the rooting lashing is attached to an end of the stump, configured to receive a portion of the object forming a rooting eye at the connection between the rooting lashing and the stump. Further, the helical coils apart from the first helical coil of the rooting lashing is configured to wrap on the stump thereon. The fastener further comprises a trunk lashing attached to an end of the stump comprises a first end and second end, defined by a plurality of helical coils. The helical coils of the trunk lashing are configured to wrap on a portion of the object, thereby a user ensures fastening the object.
PLANT SUPPORT AND GROWTH DIRECTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE
This invention is a plant support and growth directing apparatus to enhance growth of a plant and increase product production from the plant by increasing air and light to a plant's canopy. The apparatus has at least one post and at least one crown attached thereto. At least one of the crowns has a plurality of spaces or openings sized and configured to receive and support branches of a plant to define a user desired growing pattern of the plant. In one configuration, the spaces are interstitial between coils of a coiled member, such as a spring, that is attached to or part of the crown. The crown may also be surfaced with an abrasive material such as a sand or polymer grit thereby more effectively holding the plant in place and providing a means to abrade or stress the plant to stimulate a growth response.
TREE AND SHRUB PROTECTOR RESERVOIR
A tree/shrub protector includes a circular underground drip reservoir that may hold about seven gallons of water and extended about eighteen inches underground. It focuses water and nutrients onto a root ball to encourage downward root growth. Above ground modules include a hard shell reservoir that provides pest protection as well. Another above ground module is a wire type protective fence and/or trellis that has reservoirs as well. A second embodiment has a grill or fence having spikes driven into the ground for support. One or more water reservoirs are integrated into the fence. Variable flow drip tubes feed underground drip pipes from the reservoirs. Vertical poles have uses including tree support, holding a winter shroud, and supporting a fence and/or trellis. The fence is modular to fit inside a thin box. An optional anti-rodent spiked ring is included. All embodiments can reduce returns to a tree vendor.
Plant Support Apparatus
The present application discloses a plant support device that includes a single support strut, aligned approximately in a vertical direction when in use, and one or more enclosing fixtures, each mounted on a first support strut with its own first hinge, wherein each first hinge enables a substantially vertical swing relative to the support strut when in use, and wherein each first hinge is operatively coupled to a detent for holding the enclosing fixture at selected angles relative to the support strut.
Plant holder for attachment to a rod or a tube
A plant holder having an elongated base body several passages extending transversely to the base body for receiving wire-shaped fasteners for plants, and a clamping device disposed on one end of the base body for affixing the plant holder on a holder to be fastened in the floor or on a wall. The base body has latching protrusions associated with the passages for detachably fastening an end of the wire-shaped fastening means that is bent away and extends substantially parallel to the base body. The wire-shaped fastener for the plant can thus be easily and very rapidly attached to the base body and detached again, without requiring a tool or other resources. With the clamping device, the base body of the plant holder can be quickly attached to a rod or tube with a large holding force and just as easily detached again, also without the use of tools.
