ELECTROMECHANICAL VEHICLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT UNIT AND VEHICLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT METHOD

An electromechanical vehicle height adjustment unit comprises a control arm, a lower spring pad operative to support a lower end of a vehicle spring, and a displacement mechanism supported on the control arm. At least a portion of the displacement mechanism is integrated into the control arm. The displacement mechanism is coupled to the lower spring pad and is operative to displace the lower spring pad relative to the control arm. The displacement mechanism comprises a rotary-to-linear motion conversion mechanism and an electric motor.

Mounting system for the elastic mounting of a strut or a vibration damper

A mounting system for the elastic mounting of a strut or a vibration damper on a vehicle body includes a unit insertable into a receiving cup and a fixing device. The unit includes a mounting unit and a piston rod of a strut or vibration damper. In embodiments, the mounting unit has an elastomer mount for mounting the piston rod; the elastomer mount has a core for receiving the piston rod and an elastomer body, and a ring element that is a separate part or is non-positively, positively and/or materially connected to the body; the unit and fixing device may be inserted into the receiving cup from a side facing away from the body; the fixing device engages behind an undercut formed on the receiving cup; the ring element is supported on the fixing device; and/or the elastomer body is prestressed and presses the ring element against the fixing device.

Suspension thrust bearing device and suspension strut equiped with such a device

A suspension thrust bearing device for use with a suspension spring in an automotive suspension strut of a vehicle. The device includes a bearing having an upper annular bearing member and a lower annular bearing member in relative rotation, and a damping element made of resilient material and interposed between the lower annular bearing member and the suspension spring. The lower annular bearing member provides an outwardly radially-extending flange, the flange being embedded within the damping element.

Electric vehicle platform

Vehicle platforms, and systems, subsystems, and components thereof are described. A self-contained vehicle platform or chassis incorporating substantially all of the functional systems, subsystems and components (e.g., mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) necessary for an operative vehicle. Functional components may include at least energy storage/conversion, propulsion, suspension and wheels, steering, crash protection, and braking systems. Functional components are standardized such that vehicle platforms may be interconnected with a variety of vehicle body designs (also referred to in the art as “top hats”) with minimal or no modification to the functional linkages (e.g., mechanical, structural, electrical, etc.) therebetween. Configurations of functional components are incorporated within the vehicle platform such that there is minimal or no physical overlap between the functional components and the area defined by the vehicle body. Specific functional components of such vehicle platforms, and the relative placement of the various functional components, to allow for implementation of a self-contained vehicle platform are also provided.

STRUT BEARING ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE

A strut bearing assembly includes: a first case coupled to an insulator mounted on a body of the vehicle, and having a strut disposed therethrough; a second case mounted under the first case in a top-to-bottom direction of the vehicle, configured to rotate relatively to the first case, and having the strut disposed therethrough; and a center plate disposed between the first and second cases, and configured to support the first case to rotate relative to the second case. The center plate has a ring shape with a hollow portion, and includes an inclined portion that is inclined downward toward an outside in a radial direction based on a central axis of the strut.
