ACTIVE SUSPENSION DAMPING
Example illustrations are directed to a damping system for a vehicle suspension that includes a controller configured to determine a roughness of a ground surface associated with the vehicle. The controller is also configured to determine a damper setting for the damping system based on the determined roughness. A method is also provided that includes determining, using a controller, a roughness of a ground surface associated with the vehicle. The method may further include determining, using the controller, a damper setting of the vehicle based on the determined roughness.
Suspension Structure of Vehicle for Skateboard Platform
An embodiment suspension structure includes a rail housing configured to be installed in a vehicle body along a height direction of the vehicle body, a rail attached to the rail housing toward an outer side of the vehicle body, a plurality of variable position links configured to be moved in the height direction of the vehicle body by engaging with the rail, a link transfer screw threaded to the plurality of variable position links and disposed in parallel with the rail to allow the plurality of variable position links to move by rotation, and a screw motor fixed to an upper inner side of the rail housing and coupled to one end of the link transfer screw, the screw motor being configured to provide a driving force to rotate the link transfer screw.
VEHICLE WITH A CURVE TILTING FUNCTION
A vehicle having an active chassis system with curve tilting function, comprises a control unit, which when negotiating a curve determines a vehicle tilting angle on the basis of a current vehicle transverse acceleration or a correlated driving operation parameter, by which the vehicle transverse acceleration can be reduced, wherein the control unit uses the vehicle tilting angle so determined to trigger actuators of a suspension/shock absorbing system in order to adjust the vehicle tilting angle. The curve tilting function incorporates a prediction unit which provides the curve negotiation data for an upcoming curve. The vehicle tilting angle is set in consideration of the curve negotiation data.
VEHICLE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING VEHICLE SUSPENSION
A vehicle includes a first actuator, one or more second actuators, and an electronic control unit. The first actuator is configured to control a stroke of a suspension for a control target wheel. The one or more second actuators is configured to control the stroke of the suspension and more responsive than the first actuator. The electronic control unit is configured to: execute a calculation process to calculate a required control amount for at least one of roll control and pitch control of the vehicle; and execute a command process to distribute and command the required control amount to the first actuator and the one or more second actuators.
Automated control system for an electronically controlled sway bar link
A sway bar system is described. The sway bar system includes a sway bar having a first end and a second end. An electronically controlled connector to provide a remotely controllable physical connection and disconnection capability between a first location on a vehicle and the first end of the sway bar; and the second end of the sway bar coupled to a second location on the vehicle.
Methods and apparatus to perform a tank turn
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to perform a tank turn. An example vehicle includes a first wheel and a second wheel, the first wheel located on an end of a first axle, the second wheel located on an end of a second axle, the end of the first axle opposite to the end of the second axle, a first suspension coupled to the first wheel, a second suspension coupled to the second wheel, and a controller to drive the first axle in a first direction, drive the second axle in a second direction, the first direction different from the second direction, and decrease a first suspension load of the first suspension and a second suspension load of the second suspension.
SUSPENSION CONTROL DEVICE AND SUSPENSION DEVICE
The present invention achieves suspension control that allows for synchronization of the roll and the pitch of a vehicle. This suspension control device that controls the damping force of a suspension comprises: a target pitch angle calculation unit that calculates a target pitch angle with reference to a roll angle signal; and a target control amount computation unit that calculates the roll posture target control amount referred to for controlling the damping force of the suspension by referring to a steering torque signal and the target pitch angle.
THREE-WHEEL MOTOR VEHICLE AND CONTROL SYSTEM
A three-wheeled vehicle having a front wheel assembly attached to a chassis. The chassis includes a rotational control shaft having a rotational axis that is generally directed in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The rotational control shaft is integrated with or secured to the chassis in a non-rotational manner and passes through the front wheel assembly in a rotationally-free manner, such that the rotational control shaft can rotate about its rotational axis. The front wheel assembly includes one or more lean control motors, which are operably configured to rotate the rotational control shaft about its rotational axis thereby causing the chassis to lean from side to side to improve the handling ability of the vehicle. Some embodiments include a lean control system configured to automatically control the degree of rotation of the chassis.
Autonomous tilting delivery vehicle
An autonomous tilting three-wheeled vehicle comprises a pair of front wheels coupled to a tiltable chassis by a mechanical linkage, such that the pair of wheels and the chassis are configured to tilt in unison with respect to a roll axis of the chassis. An electronic controller of the autonomous vehicle controls a tilt actuator to selectively tilt the chassis. Optionally, a steering actuator is coupled to the front wheels and controlled by the electronic controller to selectively steer the wheels. A sensor configured to measure orientation-dependent information may be coupled to the chassis by a gimbal configured to compensate for vehicle tilt. In some examples, the autonomous vehicle comprises an autonomous delivery robot.
STEERING SYSTEMS
The present application pertains to a system comprising a multi-axle trailer with a front and a rear. The a multi-axle trailer comprises at least one lift axle configured to be raised or lowered to distribute weight, to increase trailer deflection during a turn, or both. A jeep is mounted between the trailer and a tractor wherein the jeep is configured to decrease weight on one or more axles. A booster is mounted to the rear of the multi-axle trailer. The system is configured such that during raising of the at least one lift axle an increase in air pressure to one or more other axles is increased to offset weight.
