Remote Cattle Detection and Trapping System
A remote cattle securing and trapping system that allows a virtual rancher to detect cattle entering or exiting a pen at a remote location using an image recognition subsystem that includes capturing images using a camera, that determines which motion activates an electronics communication subsystem to send images via a virtual platform to a virtual rancher, and the virtual platform can be utilized to activate a relay controlled latch system that opens or closes a cattle gate at the remote location.
Assembly of harness and sensor substrate plates
Assembly of harness and sensor substrate plates for monitoring vital signals of a patient is provided. More specifically, the present invention provides a harness, a sensor substrate plate, and related devices for non-invasively monitoring vital signals of a patient. The sensor substrate plate provides removable attachment to the skin of a patient to measure vital signals of the patient. The sensor substrate plate comprises an elongated main body comprising an upper surface and an under surface. The upper surface is configured to removably contact the skin surface of the patient. Further, a plurality of slots on the upper surface of the main body is mechanically and electrically configured to hold sensors or electrodes for monitoring biometric parameters of the patient. The upper surface also includes a first through hole mechanically and electrically configured to hold an electrical connector; and a first end and a second end of the main body.
Pest control system and method of operating same
The present disclosure relates to devices for controlling pests, and, more specifically, to devices for monitoring and communicating the presence of pests, and eliminating pests. The pest control system comprises a frame configured to be removeably positioned in a pest control station, a panel pivotally coupled to the frame, and pest control device positioned in the frame.
Method and apparatus for detection of estrus and optimal time for embryo transfer or artificial insemination in animals
An apparatus and methods for detection of estrus and optimal time for embryo transfer or artificial insemination in animals. An arched polycarbonate housing is attached to an animal. A circuit board is disposed within the housing. A rechargeable battery mounted on the circuit board provides power to the apparatus. A switch mounted on the circuit board is actuated when a breeding behavior occurs. A controller mounted on the circuit board detects actuations of the switch to generate data indicative of breeding behavior. A transmitter transmits data indicative of breeding behavior to a remote receiver.
Animal sensing system
Animal sensing systems and methods are described. An animal sensing system can include an input section with an entrance and an output section having at least two output paths each having its own exit. An animal can enter the animal sensing system through the entrance. A sensor within a sensing area of the input section can detect one or more characteristics of the animal, and can communicate the detected characteristic(s) to a central processing unit. The central processing unit can use the received data to classify the animal based on the detected characteristic(s), and then control a directional guide, such as a gate, in the animal sensing system on the basis of the classification, so as to direct the animal within the animal sensing system, such as to allow access to only one of the output paths at a time. The animal may thus be allowed to exit the animal sensing system through only one output path, directing the animal to a desired location based on the classification.
Service Animal Tracking Evaluation System Using Metrics
A system measures tracking ability of a service animal using a location sensor to generate location data and a measurement unit measuring auxiliary data related to movement of the animal while tracking a known path. A computer calculates a rank metric representing a measure of similarity between animal location data from the location sensor and stored target data defining the known path. The computer also calculates an animal signature representative of a relationship between the auxiliary data and the rank metric for different instantaneous values of the rank metric. When tracking an unknown path, a confidence metric is calculated based on the animal signature and the auxiliary data collected while tracking such that the confidence metric represents a quantitative measure of the ability of the service animal to track the unknown path.
Birdhouse
A birdhouse (2) includes an outer housing (4), a birdseed container (16) insertable into the outer housing (4) for mounting therein, and a camera unit (36) insertable into the birdfeed container (16). It further includes a digital camera (66) and a motion sensor (70), the camera unit (36) comprising a control unit (72) that triggers the digital camera (66) when the motion sensor (70) detects the approach or presence of a bird.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING MOVEMENT OR LOCATION OF AN ANIMAL
Described herein are systems and methods for monitoring an animal comprising: an electronic device configured to be implanted within an animal, the electronic device comprising: one or more sensors comprising at least one of an accelerometer, a gyroscope, or a magnetometer, the one or more sensors configured to determine location or movement information relating to the animal; a memory device configured to store the location or movement information relating to the animal; a communication interface configured to wirelessly communicate the location or movement information to an external device; and a battery device for providing power to at least one of the one or more sensors or the communication interface.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SELECTIVE BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION OF A DOMESTICATED ANIMAL
A system for training a domesticated animal includes a platform having a detector for generating a signal corresponding to performance of a predetermined behavior by the animal, wherein the signal is transmitted to a controller. Upon the animal performing the predetermined behavior for a predetermined period of time, the controller generates a feedback indicator to the animal and a caretaker message to a caretaker.
