CHASSIS ARRANGEMENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE
Chassis arrangement for a motor vehicle for passenger transportation, having two axles which are arranged at a spacing from one another in the motor vehicle longitudinal direction and in each case have wishbones with the incorporation of a spring element for the independent wheel suspension system. A first axle, lying at the front in a driving direction, is lowered from a neutral position by from 5 to 50 mm, 10 to 20 mm, in order to drive in said driving direction, and a second axle, lying at the rear in the driving direction, is raised by from 5 to 50 mm, 10 to 20 mm, in each case by way of adjustment of the spring elements, it being possible for the driving direction to be reversed.
MOTOR VEHICLE
A tiltable motor vehicle having 3 or more wheels and at least one bridge having opposite first and second ends where first and second wheel hub assemblies are disposed. First and second wheels are mounted on the first and second wheel hub assemblies. First and second suspension guides are also associated with the first and second wheel hub assemblies, each being attached to a respective end of the at least one bridge such that the suspension guide is rotatable about at least a tilt axis relative to the at least one bridge. Each wheel hub assembly being movable along or across the respective suspension guide such that the wheels are movable relative to the at least one bridge during suspension action. Movement of the wheels and the wheel hub assemblies associated with suspension rebound and compression action and rotation of the bridges relative to the body associated with tilting action are both substantially independent of movement of the steering element.
UNIVERSAL WISHBONE TRAILING ARM
A universal wishbone trailing arm and methods are provided for coupling a wheel to a vehicle chassis. The universal wishbone trailing arm comprises a wheel hub that fastenably receives the wheel. A cylindrical axle support supports one or more roller bearings whereby the wheel hub is rotatable. A first swing arm and a second swing arm extend forwardly from a joined swing arm. The cylindrical axle support is coupled to a rear of the joined swing arm. A first chassis mount hingedly couples the first swing arm to the vehicle chassis. A second chassis mount hingedly couples the second swing arm to an articulated mount which is configured to couple the second swing arm to the vehicle chassis. The articulated mount cooperates with the first second swing arms to change camber of the wheel, such that a tracking of the wheels remains substantially unchanged during traveling over rough terrain.
OFF-ROAD RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
Embodiments relate to an off-road vehicle comprising a frame, including at least one cargo box support member, a suspension movably coupled to the frame, a passenger compartment, an engine, a transmission operatively coupled to the engine, and a cargo box. The cargo box includes a floor and a plurality of upwardly extending sidewalls, wherein at least a portion of the cargo box floor extends over the at least one cargo box support member and wherein the cargo box is removably coupled to the at least one cargo box support members and is removable from the off-road vehicle via the removal of fewer than eight fasteners.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REINFORCEMENT LEARNING OF STEERING GEOMETRY
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for adjusting the steering geometry of a vehicle by using reinforcement learning in series with a neural network to determine when and how to adjust the steering geometry of the vehicle. A system can do this by receiving vehicle information associated with ongoing movement of the vehicle, and executing a reinforcement learning model using that vehicle information. The outputs of the reinforcement learning model can include a current driving cycle of the vehicle and a current application of the vehicle. The system then executes a machine learning model, where inputs to the machine learning model can include the outputs of the reinforcement learning model and the vehicle information. The outputs of the machine learning model can then include a wheel alignment signal.
OFF ROAD VEHICLE
An off-road vehicle includes a frame, a front suspension, and a rear suspension. In some examples of the off-road vehicle, the rear suspension includes trailing arms with are pivotally attached to the frame rearward of an operator area. Further, the frame can include a front subframe assembly and a rear subframe assembly which are easily removable from the main frame of the vehicle to permit access to various components of the off-road vehicle.

A cam washer for a vehicle suspension system includes a point of rotation about which the washer is configured to rotate, and an outer surface profile where any point along the outer surface profile is configured to provide a friction angle less than a predetermined value to prevent the cam washer bolt from rotating under a load acting on the outer surface profile, the outer surface profile being a function of: i) a shortest distance from the point of rotation to the outer surface profile, ii) a longest distance from the point of rotation to the outer surface profile, iii) a position angle of the outer surface profile, and iv) a coefficient of friction of a material of the washer.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN AXLE COMPONENT
The disclosure relates to a method for producing an axle component for a motor vehicle, in which at least two metallic axle parts are joined integrally to one another. The axle component is a twist beam axle, in which lateral trailing arms are connected to each other via a transverse profile. In order to establish a target geometry of the axle component, the heat induced by a welding operation is utilized. The welding operation can be a specifically positioned weld, an additional weld or a blind weld. The heat of welding is utilized in order to achieve a compensation deformation and to compensate for distortion states and/or to align the axle component.
