A vehicle axle suspension having a leaf spring unit suspending a rigid axle on a structural component or portion of the vehicle. The leaf spring unit arranged on the vehicle to extend parallel with a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. A first bearing unit, secured to the structure, and pivotably connects, at a first pivot axis, to a first end portion of the leaf spring unit. A second bearing unit is secured to the structure. A connection arm pivotably connects at one end, at a second pivot axis, to the second bearing unit. The other end of the connection arm pivotably connects, at a third pivot axis, to a second end portion of the leaf spring unit. The second bearing unit including at least one resilient spring element engaging the connection arm wherein the connection arm is supported on the resilient spring element from a pivoting about the second pivot axis a predetermined extent.

An additional spring for a shock absorber of a motor vehicle and a damper bearing for a shock absorber of a motor vehicle. In this case, the additional spring includes a first spring body which has a central hole for guiding through a piston rod of the shock absorber. The first spring body is formed spherical on an end face. The damper bearing according to the invention comprises a cylindrical receptacle space in which the first spring body of the additional spring is retained at least in certain regions, and is distinguished in that the receptacle space has a spherically formed base surface formed corresponding to the end face of the first spring body.

A bolster spring for a vehicle suspension including a base plate, a top plate, elastomeric material positioned between the base plate and the top plate, a first flange comprising a pair of ears having a bottom mounting surface upwardly extending from a first end of the base plate at an angle , and one or more mounting holes positioned in the pair of ears in the first flange adapted for attachment to a pair of ears on an upwardly extending flange on a second bolster spring.

Axle/suspension system with down stop

An axle/suspension assembly for a heavy-duty vehicle supported by a frame and a hanger includes a beam, an axle, and a bumper. The axle is supported by a first portion of the beam for pivotal movement of the beam relative to the hanger at a pivot joint. The first portion of the beam is located on a first side of the pivot joint. The bumper is fixed to at least one of the frame, the hanger, and a second portion of the beam. The second portion of the beam is located on an opposite second side of the pivot joint. The bumper includes a portion for contacting structure of at least another of the frame, the hanger, and the beam to limit pivotal movement of the axle in one direction.

The active damper upper mount includes an inner member (11, 111) to which an upper end portion of a rod (22, 122) of an active damper (21, 121) is fixed, an intermediate member (12, 112) that surrounds the inner member in a circumferential direction around a rod axis (O1, O2), an outer member (13, 113) that surrounds the intermediate member in the circumferential direction and is attached to a vehicle body side, a first elastic body (14, 114) that is disposed between the inner member and the intermediate member and supports the inner member and the intermediate member so as to be elastically displaceable relative to each other, and a second elastic body (15, 115) that is disposed between the intermediate member and the outer member and supports the intermediate member and the outer member so as to be elastically displaceable relative to each other.

Jounce bumper

Provided herein is a jounce bumper (18) for mounting in a vehicle suspension system (2) comprising a shock absorber (6), the jounce bumper (18) having a central bore (20) extending in an axial direction (A). The jounce bumper (18) comprises an elastically compressible bumper portion (24) comprising a plurality of convolutes stacked in an axial direction (A) of the jounce bumper (18), each convolute comprising a crest (26) and a root (28). A cross-section of the compressible portion (24) perpendicular to the axial direction (A) is non-circular, the non-circular shape being configured to provide a variable compression resistance in relation to an axial compression displacement (Cd) of the jounce bumper (18).

Suspension system for lawnmower

In a riding mower having a frame, a mower deck supported beneath the frame, a chair on said frame and a source of motive power also supported on said frame and including two hydraulic transaxles depending beneath the frame to each selectively rotate a drive wheel. The frame is supported on forward and rear wheel assemblies with a supporting wheel. The transaxles are supported beneath the frame and pivotally secured thereto by a flange captivating vibration pillows and proximate the driven wheel and an inner pivot rod secured to the frame by apertures in downwardly depending tabs.

A lower-side spring receiving member is adapted to receive a compression spring provided with an effective part, end turn parts which do not elastically deform, and rising parts located between the effective part and the end turn parts, at a lower side of the compression spring. The lower-side spring receiving member is provided with a contact part which is formed to protrude outward from an end at one side in the extending direction thereof, and which is in contact with the rising part so as not to form a gap between the contact part and the rising part. The contact part is in contact with the rising part of the compression spring by an elastic force caused by elastic deformation, regardless of a load on the compression spring.
