The gas spring piston is mounted in the gas spring housing on the distal end of the base housing. The shock absorber piston is fluidically sealed and slides within the shock absorber housing. The gas spring piston is fluidically sealed and slides along the gas spring housing and the shock absorber housing. The base housing telescopically translates relative to the gas spring housing.
Hydraulic shock absorber

Both end surfaces of the pump piston in a reciprocating direction are a first end surface demarcating the pump chamber, and a second end surface demarcating the gas chamber, the second end surface having a screw hole into which the screw shaft is screwed. The pump piston includes a space portion between a bottom plate defining the first end surface and the screw hole. The screw shaft has a through-hole connecting the gas chamber with the space portion.
Mounting assemblies as well as gas spring and damper assemblies and suspension systems including same
Mounting assembly dimensioned for securement between a vehicle structure and a gas spring and damper assembly include a first end plate securable to the vehicle structure. A second end plate is attached in substantially fixed relation to the first end plate such that a mounting cavity is disposed therebetween. A connector housing is disposed within the mounting cavity and operatively connectable to the gas spring and damper assembly. A first bearing assembly is disposed between the connector housing and the first end plate and permits rotation of the connector housing relative to the first end plate while transferring forces acting longitudinally therebetween. A second bearing assembly is disposed between the connector housing and the second end plate and permits rotation of the connector housing relative to the second end plate while transferring forces acting longitudinally therebetween. Gas spring and damper assemblies are also included.
Gas spring and damper assemblies as well as suspension systems including same
End members are supportable along a damper housing and dimensioned for securement to a flexible spring member. The end members include a wall with a first wall portion having an outer surface portion dimensioned to receivingly engage the flexible spring member. A second wall portion includes an inner surface portion dimensioned to receivingly engage a torsional isolator supported on the damper housing. A third wall portion extends radially outward beyond the second wall portion and includes a passage surface at least partially defining a passage extending axially through the third wall portion. The passage is dimensioned to receive a projection of the torsional isolator. End member assemblies including such an end member as well as gas spring and damper assemblies and suspension systems are also included.
SPRING UNIT
The present invention relates to a spring unit (1) for a shock absorber (100) intended for a vehicle. The shock absorber (100) comprises a damping cylinder (101), wherein the damping cylinder (101) is adapted to be telescopically arranged within the spring unit (1). The spring unit (1) comprises a hollow body (2) comprising at least one compression chamber (2b) and at least one additional chamber (3) arranged to be in fluid communication with the compression chamber such that at least a first flow of fluid (F1) is adapted to be allowed between the compression chamber (2b) and the additional chamber (3) when a threshold value is met. The invention further relates to a shock absorber (100) comprising such a spring unit (1), and a front fork comprising such a shock absorber (100) as well as a method for filling the shock absorber (100).
AIRSPRING GAITER WITH SLIDING JOINT
An air spring assembly including sliding joint providing a gaiter sliding upward or downward as a vehicle displaces the air spring assembly. The air sprig assembly includes a damper, a piston connected to the damper, a gaiter surrounding the piston and a portion of the damper, and a dampening ring connected to the gaiter.
Adjustable blow-off suspension
Altering the damping rate of a vehicle suspension damper. A pressure of a damping fluid is exerted against a second valve mechanism connected to the vehicle suspension damper. The pressure of the damping fluid is increased beyond a threshold of the second valve mechanism that is adjustable by an adjustment member. The adjustment member is exposed through a high pressure side of the vehicle suspension damper. The second valve mechanism is then opened.
STEERING ARM ASSEMBLY, STEERING MECHANISM AND MULTI-AXLE STEERING WHEEL TYPE HEAVY DUTY VEHICLE
A steering arm assembly includes a steering arm body, a first rotary connecting part and a second rotary connecting part. A first end and a second end of the steering arm body are fixedly connected with a first rocker arm and a second rocker arm, respectively. The first rotary connecting part and the second rotary connecting part are respectively connected with the first end and the second end of the steering arm body, and the steering arm body is configured to rotate relative to the first rotary connecting part and the second rotary connecting part. The steering arm body is able to be detachably located on a mounting bracket through the first rotary connecting part and the second rotary connecting part; and the first rotary connecting part and the second rotary connecting part respectively include a first shaft housing and a second shaft housing, which are engaged with a first mounting plate and a second mounting plate respectively.
Methods and apparatus for combined variable damping and variable spring rate suspension
Pressure-sensitive vales are incorporated within a dampening system to permit user-adjustable tuning of a shock absorber. In one embodiment, a pressure-sensitive valve includes an isolated gas chamber having a pressure therein that is settable by a user.
Vehicle suspension with adjustment of vibration damping force
A device for connecting the elastic elements and dissipaters of variable type of a mechanical suspension interposed between two vibrating or tilting mechanical systems, the source body and the receiving body, respectively, in order to reduce the forces acting on the receiving body, and/or the displacement thereof, and/or the speed thereof, or combinations of the previous physical magnitudes and/or of any other ones, which are produced on the receiving body due to the motion or forces to which the source is subjected. The device consists of elastic elements, such as metal components or compressed gases, energy dissipating elements, either by means of friction between fluid and solid, and between solid and solid, or by means of suitable electromagnetic couplings the damping ability of which can be automatically varied by a suitable control system according to the operating conditions of the suspension; elements forming the kinematic connection structure between the elastic elements, damping elements, source and receiving bodies, such connections being solid or fluid or electromagnetic connections.
