WHEEL EQUIPPED WITH SENSING DEVICE

A wheel equipped with a sensing device includes a wheel and a sensing device. The sensing device includes a displacement extraction member, a to-be-detected part, and a detecting part. One radial end portion of the displacement extraction member is supported to one radial end-side portion of the wheel. The other radial end portion of the displacement extraction member is a free end. The to-be-detected part is provided to one of the other radial end-side portion of the wheel and the other radial end portion of the displacement extraction member. The detecting part is provided to the other of the other radial end-side portion of the wheel and the other radial end portion of the displacement extraction member, and is arranged in a vicinity of the to-be-detected part. An output of the detecting part changes in association with a change in positional relationship between the detecting part and the to-be-detected part.

Configurable vehicle frames and associated methods

An example vehicle frame disclosed herein includes a convex surface to face the ground when the vehicle frame is in a first operating position and face away from the ground when the vehicle frame is in a second operating position, the vehicle frame rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the vehicle frame between the first and second operating positions, and a concave surface opposite the convex surface, the concave surface to face away from the ground when the vehicle frame is in the first operating position and face the ground when the vehicle frame is in the second operating position.

Wheel mount

A wheel mount, particularly for the front axle of a motor vehicle, has a basic body that has at least individual ones of the following accommodations or recesses: for accommodation of a kingpin for a wheel bearing, for connection of a brake caliper, for mounting of an upper wishbone fork, for mounting of an upper semi-trailing arm, for mounting of a tie rod, for mounting of a lower spring link, for mounting of a further lower wishbone, for positioning of a sensor, particularly an rpm sensor, for attachment of a sensor, particularly an rpm sensor, wherein the wheel mount is produced as a die-cast component made in one piece with these accommodations or recesses and connecting them with one another, preferably from light metal.

Wheel suspension control system for a vehicle and a method of controlling a suspension device

The invention relates to a wheel suspension control system for a vehicle. The system comprises a suspension device, a wheel end bearing, at least one vibration sensor and a processing circuitry. The vibration sensor is provided at or in the wheel end bearing for measuring vibrations propagated from the road wheel to the wheel end bearing when the road wheel travels on a road having surface variations, wherein the vibration sensor is configured to transmit measurement signals representing the measured vibrations. The processing circuitry is configured to receive the transmitted measurement signals and to control at least one suspension parameter of the suspension device based on the received measurement signals. The invention also relates to a vehicle and to a method for controlling a suspension device.
