Friction Free Roller Spring Perch
A method for creating a roller spring perch has steps for making a steel frame bracket, procuring snap rings, procuring four bearings, machining a steel cylindrical bearing housing, machining a bearing shaft, assembling the bearing shaft to the bearing housing with the four bearings pressed onto each of two bearing lands, assembling the snap rings in snap ring grooves of the bearing shaft, placing the bearing housing with the bearing shaft and bearings centered through holes in sidewalls of the steel bracket; and spot welding the bearing housing to the sidewalls of the steel bracket.
Suspension system for vehicle
A suspension system for a vehicle includes a spring pad coupled to a spring and configured to support the spring connecting a suspension arm and a vehicle body member of the vehicle, where the spring pad includes: a seat part coupled to an end of the spring; a guide part configured to guide upward and downward movements of the seat part; and an elastic part configured to connect the seat part and the guide part and having a length that varies when the seat part moves. In particular, the spring is consistently supported by being coupled to the seat part of the spring pad even in a situation in which an additional rebound further occurs in a full-rebound situation and the spring deviates from a range in which the spring can be extended, thus preventing withdrawal of the spring connecting the suspension arm and the vehicle body member.
Independent suspension system
An independent suspension system includes a wheel knuckle engaged with a wheel and configured to be rotated in response to a steering input; a motor assembly disposed at one end of the wheel knuckle and configured to rotate the wheel knuckle; an upper arm engaged with the motor assembly; a lower arm having a first end engaged with a vehicle body and a second end engaged with the wheel knuckle; a connection arm configured to be engaged with the upper arm; a rotation pin disposed at a connection portion between the upper arm and the connection arm to enable integral rotation of the upper arm and the connection arm; and a shock absorber disposed between the connection arm and the lower arm and engaged with the connection arm so as to be perpendicular to the connection arm.
Vehicle wheel suspension having a suspension spring and having an additional spring element connectable in series with said suspension spring
A vehicle wheel suspension includes a suspension spring and an additional spring element. The additional spring element is disposed in a working chamber of a hydraulic cylinder. The working chamber, in hydraulic terms, is configured to be completely shut off by a check valve and the volume thereof with an opened check valve while activating a vehicle drive apparatus with braked vehicle wheels being variable by the anti-dive angle and/or the anti-squat angle. For such a volumetric variation of the working chamber, a hydraulic medium is flowable through the opened check valve.
Hollow coil spring and suspension device for vehicle
A method of manufacturing a hollow coil spring which is made of a hollow wire in which a terminal sealed portion is formed on an end portion of the wire. The terminal sealed portion has a rotationally symmetric shape in which an axis passing through the center of the wire is the symmetric axis. The hollow coil spring includes an end wall portion, and an end face arc-shaped curved surface. The end wall portion includes an end face perpendicular to the axis. A distal-end-center closure portion is formed on the axis at the center of the end wall portion. A spring seat includes a base member and a sheet member. An end turn portion of the hollow coil spring is in contact with the sheet member. The end face of the end turn portion is opposed to a stopper wall of the spring seat.
Two-piece adjustable strut spacer
Strut spacers are described that include at least a male component comprising an externally threaded surface and a female component comprising an internally threaded surface. Rotation of the male component or the female component adjusts the height of the strut spacer prior to installation within the motor vehicle. The strut spacer can optionally include a locking ring to lock the height of the strut spacer before installation.
Spring seat bracket for vehicle suspension
A suspension assembly for a vehicle may include a wheel support structure operably coupling a wheel to the suspension assembly, a bolt-in spring seat bracket operably coupled to the wheel support structure, and a spring supported by the bolt-in spring seat bracket and disposed between a chassis of the vehicle and the bolt-in spring bracket. The bolt-in spring seat bracket may be adjustable to change a ride height of the vehicle.
SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A suspension system has a spring which may be prevented from being completely withdrawn and separated from a spring pad even in a situation in which an additional rebound further occurs in a full-rebound state and the spring deviates from a range (a free height of the spring) in which the spring can be extended.
Spring assembly and process of producing a spring assembly
A spring assembly comprises a spring with a coating, a spring retainer made of plastic material, an adhesive layer by which the spring and the spring retainer are bounded adhesively to one another, wherein the hardness of the adhesive layer is lower than the hardness of the coating. Further, a process of producing such a spring assembly is provided.
HYDRAULICALLY-ADJUSTABLE PRELOAD AND/OR CROSS-OVER
A modular hydraulically-adjustable preload and/or cross-over system is disclosed. The system includes a housing configured to couple with a main damper cylinder, the housing including a slave cylinder within a portion of a slave cylinder chamber, the slave cylinder telescopically movable with respect to the housing; a fluid chamber; and a fluid port configured to provide a fluid flow for the fluid chamber, wherein an increase in a fluid volume within the fluid chamber causes a portion of the slave cylinder to telescopically extend from the slave cylinder chamber. A preload flange coupled with the slave cylinder at an end of the housing such that a change in a location of the slave cylinder causes a change in a location of the preload flange.
