A motor vehicle having: running gear having a chassis and wheel suspensions, which include longitudinal and transverse links for attaching wheels to the chassis; a body having an underfloor and/or an underfloor paneling, the underfloor and/or the underfloor paneling exposing the links; paneling for the links having a recess for air to cool a brake; and a flow guide upstream of a respective paneling. The flow guide is connected to the underfloor or to underfloor paneling and which, together with the respective paneling, divides up the air flow into: a first air flow, which can be fed, upstream of the recess, via a first flow channel of the respective paneling to a first region of the brake, and into a second air flow, which can be fed via the recess of the respective paneling and a second flow channel of the respective paneling to a second region of the brake.

AIR SPRING COVER

Air spring strut for a motor vehicle including an air spring with a shock absorber for spring-cushioning and damping oscillations of a motor vehicle running gear assembly. The air spring includes an air spring cover and an air spring piston. An air spring bellows made of elastomeric material is clamped air-tightly between the air spring cover and the air spring piston partially delimits a working space filled with compressed air and, while forming a rolling fold, rolls on the air spring cover and/or the air spring piston. The air spring cover is embodied in two parts with a first cover part for receiving an absorber bearing and with a second cover part for fastening the air spring bellows. The first cover part is manufactured from metal and the second cover part is manufactured from plastic.

APPARATUS FOR SHIELDING VEHICLE COMPONENT
20200025275 · 2020-01-23 ·

A shielding element for protecting at least one suspension and/or driveline component. The shielding element is connected to a suspension component. The suspension component extends in a first axial direction and includes a mounting portion at one end for mounting the suspension component to a vehicle. The suspension component further includes a second end for mounting the suspension component to a knuckle. The second mounting portion is capable of receiving a suspension mounting component, which may be or include a ball joint. The shielding element is located near the second mounting portion. The shielding element extends from a surface of the suspension component in a second direction different from the first direction. The portion of the protection element that extends in the second direction may protect at least one of the mounting point, the suspension mounting component, and the driveline component from contact with debris.

APPARATUS FOR ATTACHING A STABILIZER BAR TO A VEHICLE

An apparatus for connecting a stabilizer bar to a vehicle includes a support for attaching to the vehicle. The support defines a space for receiving a bushing through which the stabilizer bar can extend. The support includes tabs to which a heat shield can be attached. The heat shield is spaced apart from the bushing to define a gap between the heat shield and the bushing to protect the bushing from heat emitted from the vehicle exhaust system or engine.

Two piece plastic dirt shield for shock absorbers

A dirt shield for shock absorbers having a piston assembly and a cylinder member with a metal dirt shield cap connected to a rod of the piston assembly. A plastic dirt shield bracket is adapted to be fixed to the metal dirt shield cap and includes a first portion and a second portion hingedly connected to one another. A dirt shield tube is connected to the plastic dirt shield bracket.

Formed Plate or Sheet Product for Vehicles

Invention is a formed plate or sheet product which attaches to the underside of a vehicle, operating in shear with some bending. The formed plate or sheet product connects the Front Suspension Assembly, the Rear Suspension Assembly, and the Structural Body of a vehicle of unitary construction or frame-on-body construction or any combination thereof. The purpose the invention is to a) increase torsional rigidity of a vehicle and b) reduce torsional and translational compliance between the front suspension assembly, the rear suspension assembly, and the structural body. The invention forms a monolithic component, attaching to the vehicle using one or more of the auto manufacturer's mounting points.

SUSPENSION

A suspension includes: a cylinder; a piston rod including a piston provided at one end-side, and inserted in the cylinder together with the piston; an outer tube part opened at the one end-side, a position of which relative to the piston rod is fixed at the other end-side, and configured to receive therein at least a part of the cylinder; and a tubular rolling diaphragm having one end disposed at the cylinder and the other end fixed to the outer tube part, and configured to roll in conjunction with displacement of the piston rod with respect to the cylinder. The rolling diaphragm becomes convex toward the other end-side of the outer tube part and is accommodated in the outer tube part, upon contraction of the suspension.

Trim assembly for a vehicle

A trim assembly having at least a first trim part fora vehicle, wherein the trim assembly is connected to an undercarriage of the vehicle via a bearing device, and wherein in order to create advantageous design conditions, the bearing device includes at least a first bearing, a second bearing and a third bearing, which are each connected to at least one component coupled to a first wheelset or a first wheelset bearing system of the undercarriage, the at least first trim part is mounted in an articulated manner with respect to a first bearing transverse axis of the undercarriage via the at least first bearing, and the at least first trim part is mounted with mechanical decoupling with respect to directions of motion parallel to an undercarriage longitudinal plane via the second bearing and the third hearing such that mechanical loads acting on the trim assembly are thereby reduced.

VEHICLE-BODY LOWER FACE STRUCTURE

A torsion beam type of rear suspension comprising a pair of right-and-left trailing arms and a torsion beam. A floor under cover for airflow straightening is attached to a portion of a vehicle body in front of the rear suspension so as to cover a vehicle-body lower face.
