Integrated bar-pin clevis joint connection
A vehicle suspension arrangement includes a mounting bracket, a trailing arm, an air spring assembly configured to bias a second end of the trailing arm from a vehicle frame member, an axle assembly couple to the trailing arm, and a trailing arm connection assembly that includes a connector having a first portion received within an aperture of the mounting bracket, and a second portion extending outwardly from the first portion and including an aperture, a bushing member received within a first end of the trailing arm, a pin member received within the bushing member and including a first aperture, and a first mechanical fastener received within the first aperture of the pin member and within the aperture of the second portion of the first connector, thereby pivotably securing the trailing arm to the mounting bracket.
ADJUSTABLE SPRING MOUNTING ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE
An adjustable spring mounting assembly includes an adjustment plate, including a receiver, an elongated axle alignment slot and at least one height adjustment aperture, and an alignment correction insert received and held in said receiver. The alignment correction insert includes a plurality of alignment correction apertures wherein a selected one of the plurality of alignment apertures is aligned with the elongated axle alignment slot to correct axle alignment of the vehicle.
TOE LINK SUPPORT AND METHOD OF SUPPORTING A TOE LINK
A toe link support is disclosed. In a first aspect, the toe link aperture of a hub has been bored out to receive inner and outer spacers. The spacers have bolt holes through which a toe link bolt is inserted to secure a toe link to the hub. The bolt is secured by a nut. The spacers protect the hub from damage by the bolt, and vice versa, resulting from motion of the toe link. In a second aspect, the outer spacer is further configured to be inserted into the bolt hole of the toe link, further protecting the bolt from damage. A method of supporting a toe link is also disclosed.
System and method for adjusting spring rate of a coil spring in a bike suspension
A system for easily adjusting spring rate of a rear shock for mountain bikes or motorcycles without changing an actual overall spring length. The system may include a coil spring a body sized and structured to engage with the coil spring. The spring rate may be adjusted by selectively placing the body between adjacent coils of the spring to deactivate up to one spring coil adjacent the end of the spring.
Wear Disc for Suspension
A method includes inserting a wear disc into the void between the eye portion of a strut and the yoke arrangement of a chassis or an undercarriage.
LINKING DEVICE BETWEEN AN ALUMINIUM SIDE RAIL OF A VEHICLE AND A CONTROL ARM
A linking device links an aluminum side rail of a vehicle body structure and an end of a control arm that includes a cylindrical linking ring. The device remarkably includes an aluminum casting including an upper surface attached under the side rail, and a side wall from which emerges, perpendicular to an outer side surface, at least one first control arm interface including a pair of tabs separated from one another by an air-gap value greater than the length of the cylindrical ring, in order to set the end of the control arm.
Reversible two setting preload spacer
A reversible, two setting preload spacer includes a body extending along an axis between a first end and a second end. The spacer also includes an opening formed through the body and extending along the axis from the first end to the second end. The opening is defined by an inner surface and configured to receive a portion of a shock tube of a shock absorber. The spacer also includes an engagement structure configured to engage a groove on the shock tube positioned on the inner surface. The engagement structure is positioned such that a first distance between the engagement structure and the first end is greater than a second distance between the engagement structure and the second end.
DAMPER ASSEMBLY INCLUDING INTAKE VALVE IN FLUID CHAMBER
A damper includes an inner tube elongated along an axis, a piston slidably disposed in the inner tube, and an outer tube surrounding the inner tube. The inner tube and outer tube define a fluid chamber therebetween. The damper includes and intake assembly in the fluid chamber. The intake assembly includes a unitary support ring and pair of fulcrum spacers, a support post fixed to and extending along the axis away from the unitary support ring and pair of fulcrum spacers, and a valve ring supported by the support post. The valve ring defines an orifice. A valve disc is supported by the support post between the valve ring and the unitary support ring and pair of fulcrum spacers. The valve disc covers the orifice of the valve ring.
Fastener structure for vehicle
In a fastener structure for a vehicle, a height adjustment spacer is interposed between first and second vehicle body frames fixed with a bolt and a nut. The nut has a first insertion hole through which a bolt is screwed, and is fixed to a surface of the first vehicle body frame. The height adjustment spacer has a second insertion hole through which the bolt is inserted, and is disposed in contact with another surface of the first vehicle body frame. The bolt is inserted through an attachment hole of the second vehicle body frame, the second insertion hole, an attachment hole of the first vehicle body frame, and the first insertion hole. On a contact surface between the height adjustment spacer and the first vehicle body frame, a protrusion and a recess are provided to surround an entirety of the second insertion hole, the second insertion hole respectively.
