Shock absorber assembly structures
Shock absorber assembly structures are disclosed. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes a body of a vehicle having a first longitudinal structural member adjacent a wheel arch area of the body, a first locating rib integrally formed in the first longitudinal structural member to position a shock absorber of a chassis of the vehicle during assembly of the vehicle body to the chassis, and a first attachment boss integrally formed in the first longitudinal structural member adjacent to the first locating rib to receive a first fastener to fasten the shock absorber to the body.
CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY MECHANISM AND CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY METHOD
A control arm assembly mechanism includes: a workbench having thereon a holder; a vertically pressing device disposed above the workbench and including a moving arm capable of moving toward and away from the holder; and two transversely pressing devices flanking the workbench and each including a moving arm capable of moving toward and away from the holder. The control arm assembly mechanism operates in such a manner to compress transversely and vertically a bushing placed on the workbench and thereby fit the bushing into a control arm.
Kingpin assembly with a torque receiving configuration
A kingpin assembly includes a pin that has a shaft with a spherical member extending therefrom. The kingpin includes a base that has a spherical interior surface which defines an interior area. The interior area includes an open end of the base and is bounded by a closed end of the base. The closed end of the base is opposite the open end. The spherical member is rotatingly disposed in the interior area with the shaft extending away from the open end. The closed end has a torque receiving configuration for receiving a torque applying tool thereon.
Jig for attaching and removing fastening bolt for carrier and lower arm of vehicle, and method for attaching and removing fastening bolt using jig
A jig for assisting attachment and removal of a bolt, the bolt being inserted into a center hole of an inner cylinder included in a carrier bush and bolt holes opposed to each other to fasten a carrier and a lower arm, the bolt holes being provided in the lower arm, the jig having a base held in contact with a bottom surface of the lower arm, a fitting portion provided on the base to position the base with respect to the lower arm, and inner cylinder guides that are penetrable into an inner tip portion of the lower arm, and the inner cylinder guides have support grooves for supporting both ends of the inner cylinder, and a center line of the inner cylinder coincides with a center line of the bolt holes of the lower arm when the support grooves support the inner cylinder.
Systems and methods for retracting a tool bit
A hold and drive tool for driving a target nut on a target threaded stud is provided. The target threaded stud includes a first end, a second end, and a recess defined within the first end. The hold and drive tool includes a motorized drive unit, a drive head portion coupled to the motorized drive unit and comprising: a socket; a non-rotatable torque arrest member substantially aligned with a central axis of the socket; and a retracting mechanism coupled to the non-rotatable torque arrest member and configured to move the non-rotatable torque arrest member, relative to the socket, along the central axis of the socket.
DISMANTLING TOOL
A dismantling tool comprises a main body, a pushing mechanism, and an insertion hole. The pushing mechanism includes a driving portion and a pushing portion. The driving portion is located at the main body. The pushing element is movably screwed with the driving portion. The insertion hole is formed on the main body for a handtool to insert therein for engagement.
Skate truck assemblies and associated methods for rear suspension spring compression
A skate truck assembly that engages a lower rear suspension arm during assembly may include a base comprising a track that extends linearly in a translation direction and an articulating truck assembly slidably coupled to the track, the articulating truck assembly being moveable along the track in the translation direction. The articulating truck assembly may include a track receiving carriage that slidingly receives the track and a suspension arm engagement structure having an elongated, longitudinal axis. The suspension arm engagement structure may be operatively connected to the track receiving carriage. The suspension arm engagement structure may rotate relative to the track receiving carriage along a first axis of rotation that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the suspension arm engagement structure.
Systems and/or Devices for Managing Vehicle Repairs
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a system comprising a frame, which can comprise a backbone, which defines a backbone longitudinal axis. The frame can further comprise a handle coupled to the backbone. The handle is positioned to allow a user to lift and position the frame. An actuator is coupled to the backbone. The actuator defines an actuator longitudinal axis.
BALL JOINT PRESS
A ball joint press includes a first frame including a first member and a first adaptor, and a second frame including a second member and a second adaptor. A link is pivotally coupled to the first member and to the second the second member. An actuating screw is rotatably coupled to the first member and to the second member. Rotation of the actuating screw in a first rotational direction causes the first member and second member to undergo a first pivoting action relative to the link to move the first adaptor toward the second adaptor. Rotation of the actuating screw in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction causes the first member and second member to undergo a second pivoting action relative to the link, opposite to the first pivot action, to move the first adaptor away from the second adaptor.
Apparatus and method for adjusting a joint of a connecting rod
An apparatus for adjusting a joint of a connecting rod is provided. The joint couples a first segment of the rod to a second segment of the rod. The apparatus includes a body and a first leg having a first distal end for engaging the first rod segment to inhibit rotational movement of the first rod segment while permitting axial movement of the first rod segment relative to the first leg. The apparatus also includes a second leg for engaging the second rod segment. The second leg has a second distal end for inhibiting rotational movement of the second rod segment relative to the second leg. The apparatus further includes a clamp for selectively inhibiting axial movement of the second rod segment relative to the second leg.
