Air pollution abatement and crop growth stimulation technology
A system and method of abating air pollution and stimulating crop growth. A reagent is introduced to a crop canopy to neutralize air pollutants within said canopy, wherein the reagent induces an oxidation-reduction chemical reaction with the air pollution present throughout the acreage of crops, and by means of the reaction effectually neutralizes the harmful effects of the air pollutants on the crops. The reagent is diluted using a venturi valve or other means. The flow rate of said reagent is regulated using an electronic control unit, based on data collected from at least one type of sensor in the canopy that is in communication with the control unit.
Netting material
An agricultural netting material has a construction profile across the width of the netting in which one or more construction elements varies across the width of the netting, a construction element in a first region of at least 20 cm width of the netting being different to the construction element in a second region of at least 20 cm width of the netting, the construction element being one of a yarn thickness, a yarn width, a yarn transmittance, a yarn pigmentation, a yarn reflectance, a yarn absorbance, a netting aperture size, a netting construction pattern and a netting cover factor.
TYING AND STABILIZATION SYSTEM OF PLASTIC FILM COVERING FOR LINEAR CULTIVATIONS
The invention refers to a system for tying and stabilizing a plastic cover film for agricultural crops such as soft fruit covers. Cultivation in covered areas has been particularly developed in recent decades. The state of the art includes glass panes, greenhouses, and special plastic coverings for soft fruit. With the prior art, the placement, fastening and fixing of the plastic film is achieved with ropes or with elastic cords or with soft PVC tubing. However, the cost of binding the plastic film is significant as skilled staff and considerable amounts of man hours are required to tie the plastic film to the supporting structure. Tying the film, in most cases, is carried out by employing knots on simple eyelets or grommets, that the plastic films bear and, respectively, with knots on the wire ropes of the structure.
Plant dormancy control system
A dormancy control system for use with plants such as fruit trees, nut trees, and perennial berry bushes planted in commercial settings. The dormancy control system employs vertical shade structures to control the dormancy of plants such as fruit trees, nut trees, and perennial berry bush crops. The dormancy control system results in dramatic increases in crop yield, and may be coupled with orchard planting directional orientation, evaporative cooling systems, and chemical and hormone based spray applications
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR MOVING SUSPENDED OBJECTS
The present invention provides an apparatus for moving objects that are suspended by means of tubes or rings, comprising a central body or portion; means for fixing a filiform element in different positions of said central body or portion; and a stop element projecting from said central body or portion and resiliently connected to said central body or portion. The present invention also provides a system including said apparatus
According to the previously detailed description it is possible to obtain an apparatus and a system for moving objects that are suspended by means of tubes or rings whose operation requires a low power driving element by working in a sequential way instead of a simultaneous way, and at the same time allowing to release the moved element in case there is a problem interfering or obstructing the movement.
Ergonomic gardening container
Provided is a raised-bed gardening container, including a base, a feeding tube, and a cover frame. The base may include a bottom edge; a top rim at least 36 inches above the bottom edge; an exterior sidewall extending between the bottom edge and the top rim; an interior sidewall extending from the top rim to a bottom interior, the interior sidewall and bottom interior defining an interior volume for containing a gardening media, the interior volume having a diameter of greater than approximately four feet; a feeding tube support generally centrally disposed in the base; and a gardener passage extending to the feeding tube support and having a width configured to allow a gardener to walk through the gardener passage to the feeding tube support.
Crop protection netting
Crop protection netting for covering trees or other plants for insect and bird exclusion is of a knitted mesh construction, comprising knit intersections in the netting and connecting yarn portions between the yarn intersections which extend substantially linearly between intersections. The netting is lightweight and stretchable in multiple directions.
System for protecting plant seedlings
A system for protecting from bad weather plants seedlings arranged in rows, wherein the system includes: at least one body configured to be positioned nearby at least one row of plants seedlings; at least one first protection member configured to be deployed above the plants seedlings in at least one first position so as to cover at least partially the plants seedlings of the row and to be retracted in at least one second position so as to uncover the plants seedlings of the row, the first protection member being fastened to said body; and at least one control device configured to enable the deployment and retraction of the first protection member, the body including at least one first receiving chamber extending at least partially at a first longitudinal side of said body, the first receiving chamber configured to receive the at least one protection member in the retracted position.
Woven sheet crop protection material
A woven sheet crop material comprising a woven region and a smaller knitted region. The woven region comprises a main body of the material and the knitted region is affixed to the woven region to provide an affixment region for attachment of fixing means, such as C clips or carbine clips.
LIGHT-DEPRIVATION SYSTEM
A light-deprivation system includes shades having a fixed end that form a perimeter that defines a growing environment, cables attached to a free end of each shade, a cable guide located near a pinnacle of the light-deprivation system, and a winch to draw the shades. The cables run from the free end of each shade, through the cable guide, to the winch. Operation of the winch draws the shades simultaneously to block substantially all light from sources external to the growing environment from reaching the growing environment.
