SYSTEM FOR GROWING PLANTS AND METHOD OF OPERATION THEREOF
A system for growing plants, the system may include a substrate having one or more weakened areas or openings: one or more grow portions coupled to the substrate and situated at the one or more weakened areas or openings and having at least one seed or plant; and/or a fluid distribution portion coupled to the substrate and configured to provide fluid to the one or more grow portions. The system may further include a method of operation including one or more acts of: obtaining a weather forecast for a future time period; determining whether rain is expected during the future time period; and preventing, terminating, or restricting an irrigation cycle when it is determined that rain is expected during the fare time period. The restricting may restrict a flow of liquid during the irrigation cycle or shorten the irrigation interval.

The environment controlled greenhouse (1 ) comprises: a main body portion (10 ) and a pair of wall portions (20), wherein the main body portion (10 ) comprises: a top surface portion (101 ) formed into a rectangular shape and disposed at the topmost portion; a pair of rectangular upper skirt surface portions (102 ) connectedly installed to respective edges in the transverse direction of the top surface portion (101); and a pair of rectangular lower skirt surface portions (103 ) connectedly installed to an edge in the installation direction of the respective upper skirt surface portions (102 ) and disposed in a sloped manner with respect to an installation surface (L).

Canopy hoist
This disclosure relates to agricultural canopies used primarily to control the amount of light, moisture and heat reaching growing plants within the canopy footprint. More specifically, it relates to mechanisms for pulling a flexible canopy over a support structure and then for removing the canopy to uncover the structure and the plants below. The mechanisms include an arm mounted rotationally on a base. When the arm is rotated in one direction the canopy is pulled over the support structure and when the arm is rotated in the other direction the canopy is pulled off the support structure.

The present invention relates to a composition comprising a fluorescent material and a matrix material, a color conversion sheet and a light emitting diode device. The present invention further relates to the use of the composition in a color conversion sheet fabrication process, to the use of the color conversion sheet in optical devices or for agriculture purposes, and to the use of the fluorescent material and the matrix material in light emitting diode devices. Additionally, the invention relates to an optical device comprising the color conversion sheet and to a method for preparing the color conversion sheet and the optical device.
SHIELD FOR PROTECTING PLANTS
A shield for protecting a plant, the shield having: a shield assembly apparatus having: a top apparatus portion; a base apparatus portion having a base center tube extending upwards from a floor; an interior space formed by an association of the top apparatus portion with the base apparatus portion; support stick holes in a circular arrangement along an outer edge; grooves within the interior space; wherein each groove is supported by walls, and extends from a support stick hole to the base center tube, and is sloped such that the walls are taller when meeting the base center tube than when meeting the support stick hole; such that the shield assembly apparatus is capable of supporting frame components within the grooves; and wherein the shield is capable of shielding and protecting the plant without any portion of the shield being supported by the plant.
Organic greenhouse in a box
The embodied invention is a framework and expanding cover for a crop row that is designed to provide an enhanced crop growing environment. The framework design utilizes a top and bottom cover with affordable materials that are suitable for large scale production. The design also includes an irrigation, fertilizer, and CO.sub.2 injection system that provide an enhanced environment for plants to grow. The entire system is reducible to a small package to better facilitate use in a broad variety of environmental and personal situations.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INCREASING DAYS FOR THE CULTIVATION OF PARTICULAR FRUIT BEARING VINES IN UNFAVOURABLE CLIMATIC REGIONS
A method and a system for increasing the degree days in the immediate environment of fruit bearing vines for the cultivation of particular fruit bearing vines, such as non-rustic vinifera variety vines, in unfavourable climatic regions where the degree days is insufficient for the full maturity of the fruit, is described. Rows of the vines are protected in removable shelters which have a removable tarp cover disposed over a support frame structure to shield the rows of vines from the harsh, vine damaging, winter month temperatures while keeping the vines in a controlled temperature environment. Heated liquid circulation conduits are supported in the shelters at predetermined locations and provide controlled heat during the winter months to prevent the vines and the cordon bearing spuds of the vines from damaging cold temperatures. In the early spring the roots are activated early and the tarp is removed and a transparent film sheet covering is substituted to admit sunlight to help activate the vine early to gain degree days. The method and system is also applicable to semi-rustic or rustic wine producing grape vines grown in these climatic regions having degree days down to about 1200.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENHANCED PRODUCTION AND MANAGMENT OF AGRICULTURAL YIELDS
The present disclosure includes systems and methods for managing, cultivating, producing, preparing and distributing agricultural products. Apparatus designed to improve agricultural yield and crop performance are also disclosed. According to one embodiment, the apparatus are individually coded or tagged for remotely configuring, monitoring and modifying one or more parameters associated with each apparatus.
