ANIMAL ENCLOSURE SAFE DOOR SYSTEM AND METHOD
An animal enclosure safe door system may include a door which may be moved between an open position and a closed position via an actuator. A controller unit may operate the actuator to move the door between the open and closed position. The controller unit may comprise a sensor engine which may be configured to detect the presence of an obstruction object which may prevent the door from moving into the closed position. If an obstruction object is detected, the controller unit may stop and/or reverse the movement of the door. A method of an animal enclosure safe door system may include: motivating the door from an open position into the closed position; detecting the presence of an obstruction object in the path of the door to the closed position; stopping the movement of the door for a period of time; and motivating the door into the closed position.

POULTRY CAGE
A cage and corresponding method for loading, transporting, and unloading poultry utilize a substantially vertical track attached to a leg or a sidewall to provide stability for a door of the cage throughout the door's entire range of motion. The cage is stackable and together with like cages can form an assembly of cages. The assembled stack of cages allows for several cages to share common components. Thus, the weight of the load during transport is reduced and more livestock can be transported. Shared components can include a roof and even a latching mechanism which prevents the door of each cage from coming open during transport.

Animal crate with swing or drop door
An animal enclosure including a plurality of members defining an interior of the enclosure. The plurality of members includes a first member having a frame and a door formed by a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires. The door is pivotable with respect to the frame and a latch maintains the door in a closed position when latched. At least one of the wires of the door assembly is configured to include one of an access portion and a tab, and at least one of the wires of the frame assembly includes the other of the access portion and the tab. The latch, when moved to an open position, enables sliding movement of the door with respect to the frame. Alignment of the access portion and tab provides for opening of the door and pivoting movement of the door with respect to the frame.

DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR AN ANIMAL ENCLOSURE
A door assembly (13) for an animal enclosure, the door assembly comprising: a frame (23) for mounting over an aperture (21) in a wall of the enclosure; a door (19) moveably mounted in the frame (23), the door (19) being moveable between a position where the aperture in the wall is open for the passage of an animal and a position where the aperture in the wall is closed thereby to prevent the passage of an animal; and a motor (37) for driving the door (19) between the closed and open positions.
