ADJUSTABLE TREE GUARD DEVICE
A guard device configured to be disposed concentrically about a generally cylindrical structure, including: a plurality of adjoined panels collectively forming an annular ring structure that is configured to be disposed concentrically about the generally cylindrical structure; an attachment mechanism disposed at one end of one or more of the plurality of adjoined panels that is configured to secure the annular ring structure about the generally cylindrical structure; and one or more adjustment mechanisms disposed along edges of the plurality of adjoined panels that are configured to adjustably couple the plurality of panels together to form the annular ring structure. Each of the adjustment mechanisms includes a slot defining detent positions disposed along an edge of one panel and a mating peg structure disposed along an opposed edge of an adjacent panel, wherein the peg structure is configured to be translated between the detent positions defined by the slot.
Plant cover with insect resistant bag for enclosing a plant
A plant cover device comprises an enclosure having mesh material to define a plant-receiving cavity. The enclosure includes a first mesh section having a closed top end, and a first perimeter opposite the closed top end, and a second mesh section having a second perimeter attached to the first perimeter of the first mesh section, and a bottom end opposite the closed top end of the first mesh section defining a trunk receiving opening. The plant cover device also includes a support extending vertically from a ground surface through the first and second perimeters and to abut the closed top end of the enclosure.
A PROTECTIVE COVERING FOR MITIGATING SMOKE TAINT
The present invention relates to a protective covering for grapevines to mitigate smoke taint by filtering particles that may affect the grapes. The protective covering: comprises a microporous activated carbon material that is capable of being arranged by a user to cover at least a portion of the grapevine; and an attachment means for securing the activated carbon material to, or about, at least the portion of the grapevine.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STORING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
The present invention provides a cover for an agricultural product, said cover including a polymeric barrier material, wherein the cover is permeable or impermeable to gases, permeable to water vapour and water-resistant.
TREE PROTECTION SYSTEM
A tree protection system including a flexible UV-stable first layer including a plurality of openings between about 5 mm and about 9 mm formed therein, the first layer configured to protectively surround at least a base of a tree, and a unitary fastener adapted to secure overlapping opposed portions of the first layer together during protectively surrounding the at least a base of a tree in response to application of a single force directed toward the opposed portions.
Bottomless in-ground water conservation and contamination prevention garden-plant watering-well
An in-ground plant container with watering-well that is open at both ends and is functional and decorative. The above ground portion in this present embodiment has a round bowl shaped water well and broad rounded lip for ease of gripping and placing in an appropriate sized hole. The bowl of the watering-well keeps the plant container above ground. The bottom, below ground portion, has vertical fins for lateral stability in the soil. This embodiment also has an outer horizontal flange at its base for prevention against vertical lifting due to soil movement and for permanent placement. The above ground portion of the plant container watering-well can be wider than the base and replaces the organic soil-watering-well. This in-ground plant container with watering-well is for conserving water, and the containment of water contaminated by pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
PLANT GROWING SYSTEM
Systems and associated apparatus and methods are described for growing plants in a dense and efficient manner in an indoor environment using artificial light. The systems are configured to hold a high density of plants at a relatively close, substantially fixed distance from a light fixture that provides artificial light for growth of the plants. As the plants grow, the plants are transferred to one or more following stations or stages, each of which is configured to hold the now larger plants at the same relatively close, substantially fixed distance from a light fixture. By providing multiple stages to accommodate plant growth, and maintaining the close positioning of the plants to the light fixtures, the impact of the artificial light on the growth of the plants is maximized and the efficiency of the electrical energy use is increased.

Planter system using waste materials
The planter system using waste materials repurpose waste materials to construct a self-irrigating planter that promotes plant growth in a protective environment. The planter system includes a water reservoir constructed from scrap tire defining a hollow interior serving as water storage, the reservoir being buried in soil. A condensation funnel having a sloped condensation skirt extends into the center opening of the scrap tire to direct condensate into the water reservoir. A root ball cover made from scrap newspaper covers the root system of a plant, and the plant is buried in the center opening of the scrap tire. A soil protection cover is placed atop the root ball cover to protect the soil of the root ball, and a support tube extends therefrom to protect the stem of the plant from environmental conditions. A valve regulates delivery of water to the reservoir. Most components are made from scrap plastic.
Tree Frame and Grate System and Method to Improve Growth of Vegetation in an Urban Environment
A tree frame and grate system and growing method for the purposes of encouraging healthy and abundant root growth and permitting optimal development and growth of a tree or other plant material within an urban or otherwise primarily paved environment. The system is comprised of a preformed supporting frame to contain an engineered growing media and plant material. The engineered media, which may extend beyond the exterior of the supporting frame, is designed to promote healthy growth of the plant material, and resist compaction from overlying pavement. The frame may also support a manufactured grate or other partial enclosure. The system may be adapted for electrical service connection for aesthetic lighting, and piping to provide supplement irrigation.
