Plant frost protection apparatus
09894847 · 2018-02-20 ·

An apparatus for protecting plants, trees, bushes, etc. from harsh environments when the ambient air temperature is below the lower tolerance limit for that species of plant. The apparatus consists of an envelope that covers the plant with a drawstring on the open end of the envelope that cinches around the base of the plant. Installed in envelope is a blower and heater that heats and circulates air throughout the envelope, creates a micro-environment within the envelope that is above the lower tolerance limit for that species of plant, keeping the plant from being harmed by the outside environment.

Crop protection netting

Crop protection netting for covering trees or other plants for insect or bird exclusion is of a knitted mesh construction, including knit intersections in the netting and connecting yarn portions between the yarn intersections which extend substantially linearly between intersections. The netting is lightweight and stretchable in multiple directions.

PLANT COVER DEVICE WITH UPPER END AND LOWER TUBULAR END AND RELATED METHODS
20250024792 · 2025-01-23 ·

A plant cover device includes an upper end having a sealed apex and defining a plant-receiving cavity therein, a lower tubular end opposite the upper end, and a medial seam coupling the upper end and the lower tubular end. The upper end includes an upper major mesh surface, and a seam extending along a peripheral edge of the upper major mesh surface. The lower tubular end includes a lower major mesh surface and has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first end being is coupled to the medial seam, and the lower tubular end also partially defines the plant-receiving cavity therein. The plant cover device also includes a flexible support carried by the medial seam.

PLANT PROTECTION/DEER EXCLUSION ENCLOSURE
20170251610 · 2017-09-07 ·

A plant protection/deer exclusion enclosure includes a segment of fencing formed into an overlapping spiral configuration to define a variable diameter enclosed cylindrical volume that protects a plant from browsing or rubbing by deer. The overlapping spiral configuration is characterized by the first column of rectangular openings of the fencing being positioned radially outside, and in superimposed alignment with, the last column of rectangular openings. A plurality of fasteners contact both the first and second side wires of the rectangular openings in both the first column and the second column to provide structural integrity, especially in the attachment portion, of the enclosed cylindrical volume.

Thermodynamically balanced insulation system
09732515 · 2017-08-15 ·

An insulation system that includes opposing panels with a partial dead air space in equilibrium with outside air. In one embodiment, two panels are supported parallel to one another separated by a distance. Each of the panels has a plurality of openings. The openings on facing panels are offset from one another so that openings on the two sides are not aligned. The openings are small enough so that a small amount of diffusion can occur allowing the panel to breathe. The panels can be used in attics, over windows or part of a building. In an alternate embodiment, they can be made from flexible sheets and be used to prevent fire hydrants or other objects from freezing. When used in attics, the panels will support weight allowing them to be walked on or used to store objects.

Plant-Protecting Pot Device
20250040735 · 2025-02-06 ·

A plant-protecting pot device is provided. The device is comprised of a plant-protecting pot device comprised of a pot that can be used to store a plant. The pot is comprised of a rim comprised of at least one fastener. At least one base of the device is comprised of at least one barrier that is generally conical. The base is comprised of at least one fastener that can be attached to the fastener of the rim. As a result, the barrier surrounds a plant within the pot while the plant grows. The barrier protects the plant from animals, weather, and other damage.

TREE AND SHRUB PROTECTOR RESERVOIR
20170188525 · 2017-07-06 ·

A tree/shrub protector includes a circular underground drip reservoir that may hold about seven gallons of water and extended about eighteen inches underground. It focuses water and nutrients onto a root ball to encourage downward root growth. Above ground modules include a hard shell reservoir that provides pest protection as well. Another above ground module is a wire type protective fence and/or trellis that has reservoirs as well. A second embodiment has a grill or fence having spikes driven into the ground for support. One or more water reservoirs are integrated into the fence. Variable flow drip tubes feed underground drip pipes from the reservoirs. Vertical poles have uses including tree support, holding a winter shroud, and supporting a fence and/or trellis. The fence is modular to fit inside a thin box. An optional anti-rodent spiked ring is included. All embodiments can reduce returns to a tree vendor.
