USER DEMANDED CLIMATE CONTROL IN A VEHICLE
A climate control system in a vehicle comprises a first vent unit adjacent to a driver seat; a second vent unit adjacent to a passenger seat; a climate control device configured to provide conditioned air to an occupant compartment; and a user input device to enable selection of a first climate control mode or a second climate control mode by a user. The conditioned air passes through the first vent unit at the first climate control mode and the conditioned air passes through the first and second vent units at the second climate control mode.
AIR-CONDITIONING CONTROL SYSTEM AND INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE
An air-conditioning control system includes an air-conditioning device mounted in a host vehicle, a determination unit mounted in the host vehicle or a server and configured to determine whether a boarding position at which a boarding event in which an occupant boards the host vehicle occurs is a point with a predetermined attribute, and a control unit mounted in the host vehicle and configured to control the air-conditioning device based on a determination result from the determination unit. The control unit sets a ventilation capacity of the air-conditioning device to be greater when the determination unit determines that the boarding position is a point with the predetermined attribute than when the determination unit does not determine that the boarding position is a point with the predetermined attribute.
USER INTERFACE DEVICE, VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE
A user interface device includes: an output device having an output region predefined around an output unit; an acquisition unit acquiring information about a user's gesture performed around the output region; and a controller determining an area of a shielded region which is shielded by the user's gesture in the output region based on the acquired information and controlling output of the output device.
METHOD AND APPARATUS WITH VEHICLE CONTROL
A processor-implemented vehicle controlling method includes: determining whether an object in a vehicle is a living object based on radio detection and ranging (radar) information received from a radar sensor; in response to a determination that the object is a living object, determining bioinformation of the object based on the radar information; and adjusting a temperature in the vehicle based on the bioinformation and temperature information received from a temperature sensor.
Systems and methods for controlling a vehicle HVAC system
Disclosed are climate systems for vehicles and methods for controlling the climate systems. In some implementations, a climate system includes: (1) a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature within the compartment of the vehicle; (2) a first compressor powered by an engine of the vehicle to compress a refrigerant; (3) a second compressor driven by an electric motor to compress the refrigerant; and (4) a controller electrically coupled to the first compressor and the second compressor. The controller configured to: (1) calculate a thermal load of the compartment based on a difference between a desired temperature and a measured temperature; and, (2) based on the calculated load, selectively activate: (i) the engine, (ii) the first compressor, and/or (iii) the second compressor.
VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONER
A vehicle air conditioner has a refrigeration cycle system including a compressor. The rotational frequency of the compressor is variably controlled, and the compressor is prevented from being operated within a resonating rotational frequency range of the compressor in which the vibration frequency of the compressor and the natural frequency of a steering device resonate with each other. When the vehicle performs automated driving, the compressor is also allowed to operate within the resonating rotational frequency range.
CABIN CLIMATE CONTROL BASED ON CABIN OCCUPANCY
Various disclosed embodiments include systems, vehicles, and controllers for vehicles. An illustrative system includes a climate control system configured to heat or cool a space and a controller configured to provide control signals to the climate control system. An occupancy sensor is configured to detect one or more occupants within the space and provide occupancy information to the controller. A door sensor is configured to detect open or closed status of a door and is configured to provide door status information to the controller. The control signals from the controller are based on a combination of the occupancy information and the door status information.
Vehicle interior environment control
A computer-implemented process for controlling a vehicle interior includes detecting a previously defined situation that relates to an undesirable environmental condition of the vehicle interior, and assessing both a risk level and an urgency level, based on a vehicle sensor input. The process also includes generating a vehicle command based upon the detected previously defined situation, the assessed risk level, and assessed urgency level, and executing the generated vehicle command to control at least one of an engine, a window, and a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) unit to modify an environmental condition of the vehicle interior.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING COMFORT IN A VEHICLE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
A method for regulating comfort in a passenger compartment of a vehicle, the passenger compartment including a seat, a radiant panel, and a heating device for the seat; the method being implemented by a controller having a memory containing a pre-established map. The method includes the following steps: acquiring a data item that is characteristic of the state of the passenger compartment, the characteristic data item including the temperature of the passenger compartment; determining, from the map, an optimal comfort level as a function of the characteristic data item; reading, in the map, regulation values associated with the optimal comfort level, the regulation values including values representative of the operating power of the radiant panel and of the heating device for the seat; and transmitting the read regulation values to the radiant panel and to the heating device.
VEHICLE, LEAVE-BEHIND-IN-VEHICLE PREVENTION APPARATUS, AND METHOD
A location information acquisition unit acquires vehicle location information indicating a location of a vehicle. A location determination unit determines whether or not the location indicated by the vehicle location information matches a registered location. A living body determination unit determines whether or not there is a living body present inside the vehicle under a state in which the vehicle is locked. A notification unit notifies, when it is determined that the location of the vehicle matches the registered location and that there is a living body present inside the vehicle, a user of the presence of the living body inside the vehicle.
