A vehicle-mounted temperature controller 100 provided with a compressor 2 having a compression part 2a compressing a refrigerant and a drive motor 2b driving the compression part 2a and using waste heat accompanying driving of the compression part 2a to make the temperature of the refrigerant rise, a blower 61 blowing air to a heater core 145 raised in temperature by receiving heat of the refrigerant and blowing air exchanged in heat with the heater core 145 to the inside of the passenger compartment, and an electronic control unit 51 controlling a current phase of the drive motor 2b to a phase by which a ratio of change of an output of the drive motor 2b to a change of the current phase becomes relatively larger to thereby drive the drive motor 2b by an inefficient drive operation when the blower 61 is in a nondriven state and controlling the current phase to a phase by which a ratio of change of an output of the drive motor 2b to a change of the current phase becomes relatively smaller to thereby drive the drive motor 2b by an inefficiently drive operation when the blower 61 is in a driven state.
AUTOMATIC WINDSHIELD DEFROSTING SYSTEM
A climate control system for a vehicle comprises a defroster assembly having a temperature sensor that detects an interior temperature of an interior of the vehicle, a camera disposed within the interior that has a lens facing a windshield, and at least one vent directed at the windshield. A body controller that, responsive to a temperature of the interior being less than a temperature threshold, and a light refractive index of the windshield being less than an opacity threshold, outputs a status of the windshield. A telematics communication system that, responsive to the status from the body controller, transmits a notification to an application stored on a mobile telecommunications device.
VEHICLE AIR-CONDITIONING CONTROL SYSTEM, VEHICLE AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM, AND CONTROLLER
A vehicle air-conditioning control system includes a controller that controls a blow outlet drive device and a plate member drive device based on a sensed result of a seat back state sensing device. When a reclined state of the seat back is sensed, the controller controls the blow outlet drive device and thereby places an air-flow direction change mechanism in a predetermined position to direct conditioning air, which is blown from the blow outlet, such that the conditioning air collides to a plate surface of a plate member. At this time, the controller also controls the plate member drive device to place the plate member in a predetermined position, so that the conditioning air, which collides to the plate surface of the plate member, reaches a specific part of an occupant who is on the seat having the seat back placed in the reclined state.
Baby comfort monitoring system and method
A system and method are disclosed for a vehicle that comprises one or more sensors configured to obtain information indicating a physical state of a baby. A wireless transceiver may be included and in communication with a mobile device. The transceiver may be configured to connect mobile device with a camera configured to monitor the baby. A controller may also be in communication with the one or more sensors and the wireless transceiver. The controller may be configured to determine the physical state of the baby utilizing the information obtained from the one or more sensors. The controller may also be configured activate one or more vehicle systems in response to the physical state of the baby and to output on a vehicle display or the mobile device a notification to a user indicating the physical state of the baby.
SYSTEM IMPLEMENTING AIR QUALITY-BASED WASTE MANAGEMENT
A waste service management system, method, and computer program product improve waste services by responding to air quality that is outside and inside a waste service vehicle. A controller monitors at least one exterior air quality sensor that is mounted to, and exposed to air exterior to, the waste service vehicle. The controller monitors at least one interior air quality sensor that is mounted to the waste service vehicle and exposed to air interior to a waste hauling body that is one of carried and attached to the waste service vehicle. The controller compares measurement levels of exterior and interior airborne chemical constituents to one or more corresponding air quality thresholds. The controller presents a notification on a user interface device indicating any exceedance of the air quality threshold and an associated origin of one of the exterior air and the interior air.
Air purge method in a vehicle and an air purge system
An air purge method in a vehicle is provided. The air purge method comprises starting a vehicle ventilation device in response to ventilation instruction; determining a current air purge status based on an operation time of the ventilation device; and indicating the current air purge status via an air purge indication device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF AMBIENT GAS SENSING IN A VEHICLE
An imaging system connected to an occupant monitoring system includes communications with an apparatus for measuring gas or airborne compound concentrations in a vehicle cabin. The apparatus includes a housing configured as a flow tube in fluid communication with ambient air in the vehicle cabin. A spectrometer is mounted within the housing and subject to ambient air flow through the housing, and the spectrometer is connected to a light source and receives reflected light from the air flow to detect by spectrum analysis the concentration of target gases and/or airborne compounds. The spectrometer identifies spectral changes in the light and reflected light within the ambient air flow. The spectrometer communicates with computerized vehicle control systems, and runs software stored to calculate the concentration of target gases and/or airborne compounds from the spectral changes.
