Electrial vehicle charging system
The invention provides an alternative electrical charging system for a vehicle which is at least partially powered by electricity. The system employs a wind driven generator which produces electricity in response to air motion. When the generator is operating, electricity is communicated the battery of the vehicle. Operation of the generator involves a controller that monitors the electrical status of the battery and selectively activates a fan or opens a ducting system communicating with the generator. The controller also, in some embodiments, monitors the motion and the attitude of the vehicle.
System and method to adjust vehicle temperature based on driver location
A vehicle climate control system. An air conditioner and heater are operatively connected to a controller and control the temperature of the cabin area of a vehicle. A processor, operatively connected to the controller, determines the amount of time for an operator of the vehicle to travel between their location and the location of the vehicle. The processor determines an amount of time required to adjust the temperature of the cabin area of the vehicle to a selected temperature by using one of the air conditioner and the heater. The processor automatically operates one of the air conditioner and the heater to begin adjusting the temperature of the cabin area to the selected temperature when the amount of time required for the operator to travel between their location and the location of the vehicle is less than or equal to the amount of time required to adjust the temperature of the cabin area vehicle to the selected temperature.
HYBRID UTILITY VEHICLE
A cooling assembly for a hybrid vehicle includes a first cooling system configured to cool an engine and a second cooling system separate from the first cooling system and configured to cool a plurality of electrical components. The second cooling system is configured with a first method of cooling at least a first electrical component and is configured with a second method of cooling at least a second electrical component. The first method of cooling is different from the second method of cooling.
Power and thermal management systems and methods for autonomous vehicles
Systems and methods for power and thermal management of autonomous vehicles are provided. In one example embodiment, a computing system includes processor(s) and one or more tangible, non-transitory, computer readable media that collectively store instructions that when executed by the processor(s) cause the computing system to perform operations. The operations include obtaining data associated with an autonomous vehicle. The operations include identifying one or more vehicle parameters associated with the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the data associated with the autonomous vehicle. The operations include determining a modification to one or more operating characteristics of one or more systems onboard the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the one or more vehicle parameters. The operations include controlling a heat generation of at least a portion of the autonomous vehicle via implementation of the modification of the operating characteristic(s) of the system(s) onboard the autonomous vehicle.
Vehicular air conditioning system and control method thereof
A vehicular air conditioning system and a control method thereof are provided. The vehicular air conditioning system includes: a plurality of mode doors configured to switch an air discharge mode in a passenger compartment, the mode doors including a defogging door, a vent door and a floor door; and a mode door air pressure reduction part configured to temporarily reduce an air pressure acting on at least one of the mode doors when the air discharge mode is switched.
Vehicle temperature regulation apparatus
A vehicle temperature regulation apparatus includes a temperature regulator configured to regulate a temperature of a circuit board mounted in a vehicle, a controller configured to control the temperature regulator, and a storage unit configured to store a vehicle startup scheduled time. When the temperature of the circuit board at a check time before the vehicle startup scheduled time is outside of a predetermined normal temperature range, the controller executes circuit board pre-temperature-regulation control to operate the temperature regulator to regulate the temperature of the circuit board before the vehicle startup scheduled time.
System and Method of Climate Control in Unmanned Machine
A controller-implemented system and method for automated control of a climate control system of a machine when being operated unmanned. The method includes utilizing at least one temperature sensor to determine the temperature of the machine cab, and, if the machine is being operated unmanned, generating signals to turn on the blower to a minimum setting, comparing the sensed temperature to at least one of minimum and maximum temperature thresholds, and generating signals to turn on the cab cooling device or cab heating device and adjusting the blower to maintain the cab temperature above the minimum and/or below the maximum temperature thresholds.
INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, AND PROGRAM
An information processing method executed by a vehicle system that controls an air conditioner of a vehicle via a communication line includes: an output step of outputting a user interface corresponding to a type of the air conditioner provided in a target vehicle; an acquisition step of acquiring a parameter related to air conditioning, the parameter being set via the user interface; and control step of issuing a control command for controlling the air conditioner of the target vehicle based on the acquired parameter.
VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENT CONTROL
A computer-implemented process for controlling a vehicle interior includes detecting a previously defined situation that relates to an undesirable environmental condition of the vehicle interior, and assessing both a risk level and an urgency level, based on a vehicle sensor input. The process also includes generating a vehicle command based upon the detected previously defined situation, the assessed risk level, and assessed urgency level, and executing the generated vehicle command to control at least one of an engine, a window, and a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) unit to modify an environmental condition of the vehicle interior.
Method, computer program and system for improving a user experience
Embodiments relate to a method, computer program and system for improving a user experience. The computer-implemented method for improving a user experience inside a vehicle comprises determining an environmental context inside the vehicle, wherein the environmental context is assigned a plurality of actions, which influences the environmental context. Further, the method comprises choosing at least one action of the plurality of actions for improving the user experience.
