The invention relates to a heating device for heating air, having a primary heat source (10) and a heat exchanger (2). The heat exchanger (2) has an interior space (22) for receiving the primary heat source (10) and transfers thermal energy generated by the primary heat source (10) to the air. The heat exchanger (2) includes a holding element (21) for receiving an electric heating element (11) as a secondary heat source (2). The heat exchanger (2) consists of a first heat exchanger unit (201) and a second heat exchanger unit (202).

A heating system for a vehicle compartment includes: a heat source storage chamber disposed below a vehicle compartment floor of an electric vehicle and configured to store at least one heat source element unit selected from an automotive battery, a motor, a converter, and an inverter; and a connection chamber configured to connect between the heat source storage chamber and the vehicle compartment. A heat exchange medium flows in the heat source storage chamber and the connection chamber. The heat source element unit and air in the vehicle compartment exchange heat with each other through the heat exchange medium.

An air-conditioning apparatus for an electric vehicle and a method of controlling the same, may include a heat exchanger performing heat exchange between a first fluid and a second fluid while the first fluid and the second fluid flow separately from each other therethrough; a heat source connected to the heat exchanger through a line through which the second fluid flows to allow the second fluid to circulate between the heat exchanger and the heat source, and heating or cooling the second fluid; a circulator imparting a circulation force to the second fluid such that the second fluid circulates between the heat exchanger and the heat source; and a controller determining a required flow rate of the second fluid by use of a flow rate of the first fluid flowing through the heat exchanger and controlling the circulator on the basis of the required flow rate of the second fluid.

Thermal management system for electric vehicle

An electric vehicle thermal management system is provided. The system includes an inside AC unit having an air inlet unit and an air outlet unit and a cooling core embedded therein. A heating core is disposed between the air outlet unit of the inside AC unit and the cooling core and a control door is disposed inside the inside AC unit to adjust air supply to the heating core. A first flow path circulates to pass through the heating core and includes an electric heater. A branch flow path is branched from downstream point of the heating core of the first flow path and passing through a high voltage battery heat exchange unit. A control valve is disposed in a branch point between the first flow path and the branch flow path and a second flow path circulates between a compressor and a condenser and the cooling core.

The at least one first PTC heating element and the at least one second PTC heating element may be arranged spaced apart from one another. The at least one additional heating device may be arranged, at least in sections, between the at least one first PTC heating element and the at least one second PTC heating element.

An overhead automatic Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) apparatus can be installed in an overhead surface within various types of vehicles, structures, and buildings, in order to maintain comfortable temperature inside of the respective environment. The overhead automatic HVAC apparatus can be installed in the roof of an automobile, allowing the driver to return to a comfortable temperature. Also this provides safety, preventing a child left inside of the automobile from being harmed due to extreme temperatures. The overhead automatic HVAC apparatus can be installed in a roof of a military vehicle, such as an High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), or the ceiling of an office inside of a commercial building. The overhead automatic HVAC apparatus can be self-powered, including a battery and a solar-powered generator which allows the overhead automatic HVAC apparatus to run when conventional AC units are off, reduces costs, and power consumption.

AIR CURTAIN SYSTEM

An air conditioning system for a vehicle including an air curtain assembly. The air curtain assembly includes an outer blower configured to generate an air curtain, and an inner blower configured to generate comfort airflow within the air curtain. The air conditioning system is configured to condition the comfort airflow with respect to at least one of the following: temperature, humidity, odor, particulate matter content, biological matter content, germ content, and infectious agent content.

Electric heating device

An electric heating device includes a casing that forms inlet and outlet openings for the fluid to be heated and a circulation chamber as well as a connection chamber separated from the circulation chamber by way of a partition wall. A heat-emitting surface of a PTC heating element is exposed in the circulation chamber and is coupled in a heat-conductive manner to a PTC element. The PTC element is in electrically conductive contact, which via electrical conductor tracks with different polarities that are electrically connected in the connection chamber. The casing is a plastic casing provided with a shielding.

A heating rod having a plurality of ceramic heating elements, a first strip-shaped contact sheet, a second strip-shaped contact sheet, and a housing in which the plurality of heating elements and the contact sheets are arranged. The first contact sheet electrically contacts only a part of the plurality of the heating elements, and the second contact sheet electronically contacts a second part of the plurality of the heating elements.
