GRIPPING ARRANGEMENT
A gripping arrangement (10) comprises a wound portion (12) disposable around a main support (100), and a holding formation (14, 16) for holding a force applying arrangement (22). A force applied to the holding formation (14, 16) in a first direction to extend the wound portion (12) in said first direction can effect a contracting movement on the wound portion (12) in a second direction transverse to the first direction.

Plant manipulator
An embodiment of a plant manipulator is disclosed, which may have a flexible cylindrical member that is bent to hold a plant in a particular configuration to train the plant. The plant manipulator may include a first end and a second end, a long edge of the flexible cylindrical member, a length of the long edge of the flexible cylindrical member, and a slit along the length of the longest edge of the flexible cylindrical member. The plant manipulator may also have a malleable rigid member with a first and second end, a long edge of the flexible cylindrical member, and a length of the long edge of the malleable rigid member. The length of the long edge of the flexible cylindrical member may be coupled along the length of the long edge of the flexible cylindrical member.
Integrated gas and light system with multi-media irrigation technology
A multi-media irrigation device is disclosed. The multi-media device is a multi-channel emitter device for plant growth. It includes a substrate; a water channel disposed on the substrate, the water channel having a plurality of perforations; a gas channel disposed on the substrate, the gas channel having a plurality of perforations; and at least one further fluid channel disposed on the substrate and having a plurality of perforations. Also disclosed is an integrated, self supporting elevated gas delivery tube and LED light for crop foliage. Lastly, a system for delivery of CO2 gas to light-deprivation operation of cannabis production is disclosed.
AGRICULTURAL TRELLIS SYSTEMS, AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES AND METHODS
An agricultural trellis system is provided and generally includes a notch configured to receive a trellis wire therein and selectively release the trellis wire upward during mechanical pruning. The notch can be positioned on an above-ground portion of a vertical line post or a cross arm. The notch can include a tab extending upward from the bottom of the notch, and a first edge and a second edge each formed on the body. The first edge can be a flat edge and can be positioned laterally outwardly from at least a portion of the second edge, which can be a curved edge. The notch can include a retention protrusion extending laterally into the notch toward the second edge to a position where a lateral distance between the retention protrusion and the first edge in a direction normal to the central plane is less than a diameter of the trellis wire.

Trellis hub for joining elongate spars
The present invention relates to a hub comprising i) a first hub member, comprising a first plurality of spar receiving zones; and ii) a second hub member, comprising a second plurality of spar receiving zones; wherein: a) the first and second hub members are located immediately adjacent to each other and share a common, substantially central axis; b) the first hub member is not identical to the second hub member; and c) each spar receiving zone of the first and second plurality of spar receiving zones is adapted to receive a spar, wherein the spar is adapted to link two hubs. The present invention further relates to methods of assembling three dimensional structures incorporating such hubs, including but not limited to trellis.

Grid Shoot Positioning System for Grape Vines
An apparatus and method for training a grape vine. The apparatus is a linear grid composed of transverse and longitudinal elements that are configured to result in a network of spaces that are sized to substantially provide a separate space for each vine shoot. The apparatus is mobile within the vine canopy serving various functions as the growing season progresses. The mobility of the grid apparatus allows repositioning throughout the growing season while still retaining the shoots within the grid openings.
