A vehicle heater housing (46) has an inlet area (49), an outlet area (51) and an air flow space (47) for air to be heated with a burner chamber assembly unit (30), to be fed with combustion air and fuel. A heat exchanger area (11), including a heat exchanger housing (12), is elongated in the direction of a housing longitudinal axis (L) with an outer side (24) around which air flowing in the air flow space flows. Heat transfer ribs are on a side of the heat exchanger housing. The heater housing has a housing circumferential wall (56) and an outlet front wall area (58). The heat transfer ribs have a longitudinal edge (64) extending along the housing circumferential wall and a radial edge extending along the outlet front wall area. A distance of the radial edge from the outlet front wall area changes from radially outwards to radially inwards.

OPERATOR CONFIGURABLE RADIANT HEATING SYSTEM AND RELATED METHOD

An operator configurable radiant heating system is provided for a motor vehicle. That operator configurable radiant heating system includes a plurality of docking points provided at different locations within the motor vehicle and a radiant heating panel configured for docking with any of the docking points of the plurality of docking points. A related method is also disclosed.

POSITION ADJUSTABLE RADIANT HEATING ASSEMBLY

A radiant heating assembly includes a position adjustable mount, a radiant heating element carried on the position adjustable mount and an actuator to displace the radiant heating element between a first position and a second position.

PROTECTION STRUCTURE FOR ON-VEHICLE HIGH-VOLTAGE COMPONENT

A heater unit includes a heater case and a high-voltage component disposed on a mount surface of the heater case. A protector is disposed in front of the heater unit. The protector includes a protection cover and a protection member disposed laterally of the high-voltage component. The protection member includes a side surface (support wall) disposed along a forward-rearward direction; that is, an assumed collision direction. The leading edge of the side surface protrudes further than the high-voltage component. The length of the side surface in the forward-rearward direction is longer than the length from a position on the heater case with which the side surface comes into contact in a collision to a front surface of the high-voltage component.

CARRIER DEVICE

A carrier device for mounting a preferably fuel-operated heater (34) on a vehicle. The carrier device includes a mounting area (20) for mounting the carrier device (14) on a vehicle and a carrying area (152) for mounting a heater (34) on the carrier device (14). A combustion air line area (52) is provided for sending combustion air to a combustion air inlet (55) of a heater (34), or/and a heat transfer medium line area (60) is provided for sending heat transfer medium flowing in a heat transfer medium circuit (176) of a vehicle through the carrier device (14) or/and to or from a heat exchanger area (38) of the vehicle heater (34).

ELECTRIC HEATING DEVICE

An electrical heating element, in particular for a heating or air-conditioning system of a motor vehicle, having a heating block, which includes a plurality of electrical heating elements having heaters and having contacts, which electrically contact the heaters, the heating block including a plurality of radiator elements, which are thermally connected to the heaters for the purpose of transferring heat from the heaters to a medium flowing against the radiator elements, the heaters having two diametrically opposed, wide side surfaces and two diametrically opposed, narrow side surfaces. The contacts electrically contact the heaters on the diametrically opposed narrow side surfaces, or the contacts electrically contact the heaters on the diametrically opposed, wide side surfaces in diagonally opposite areas, viewed laterally, which are each adjacent to one of the diametrically opposed, narrow side surfaces.

Heat generating element and method for manufacturing the same

A heat-generating element of an electric heating device includes a PTC element, conductor tracks abutting surfaces of the PTC element, and an adhesive which connects the conductor tracks to the PTC element. The conductor track has several contact projections which protrude from an abutment surface of the conductor tracks. The contact projections form a contact surface which abuts the surface in an electrically conductive manner with a free space between the surface and the abutment surface, in which the adhesive is accommodated. Also disclosed is a method in which the contact projections are formed from initially planar conductor track, an adhesive is applied to the abutment surface between the contact projections, a masking covering the contact surfaces is removed, and the conductor track is glued to a PTC element with the adhesive accommodated between the surface and the abutment surface.
